yeah i know im gonna get crap for this but since a lot of us were in both i figured id post it :
Why Should You Join Action Wrestling?
by now, if you’re reading this, you’ve heard about Action Wrestling. Whether it’s from a forum post somewhere, a Tweet on Twitter, a Facebook message, group, or even page. Or even word of mouth, you found your way here and you’re obviously at least somewhat interested.
But why should you join Action Wrestling? E-feds pop up all the time throughout the year, right? The Internet is bursting at the seams with e-feds, so why should you join yet another fed? The reason why is because Action Wrestling is not just some competitive writing game in the e-wrestling realm. It’s not just about winning matches and winning titles. It’s not just about proving you’re the best in yet another e-fed during your character’s career.
Action Wrestling is an experience. Action Wrestling is about the characters and the handlers behind them. It’s about creating an environment where you enjoy yourself both Out Of Character as well as In Character. No matter if you’re the kind that struggles with writing one thousand words each week or ten thousand. No matter if you’re the type who can wow the whole fed with elaborate and interesting angles or if you have no idea where to start with that and you’re just normally a player in the background in every fed you have been in.
Even if you’re someone who has no idea how to build your character or do anything more than write for thirty minutes and post whatever you can muster, Action Wrestling is for you as well.
Action Wrestling’s word limit for its roleplays is catered towards those middle of the road people who can’t or don’t want to write massive roleplays every week. It’s for those people who don’t want to spend all their free time writing large roleplays. We have a TV title that has a one thousand word limit that is defended weekly. Finally, for those who want something more fun and an even smaller word count, Action Wrestling features a cruiserweight title division called 201 & Fun which has a seven hundred word limit.
Our monthly Pay-Per-View schedule is just as accommodating with it’s mid-month airings for those already in other e-feds or for those people who are normally busy at the end of the month.
Just like our roleplays, Action Wrestling’s matches follow a reduced content format as well. Clash matches are are written at a smaller length to make it easier and quicker to read the weekly shows. Pay-Per-View matches have the typical length you see in e-feds since that is the pay-off for a month of weekly shows and angles.
This match writing reduction for Clash accomplishes a couple of things in benefit of Action Wrestling’s members: match writers do not have to spend a lot of time writing matches that are anywhere from two to five thousand words each week. This also keeps the readers from having to read long matches every week or scrolling endlessly to see who won each match. This allows the handlers and staff of Action Wrestling to concentrate more on their characters and angles of the fed.
Angles, feuds, and storylines in Action Wrestling are run by the members of the Action Wrestling roster. Staff will not force anyone to be in any angles, feuds, or storylines. We will be there as support in case you have trouble starting, running, or concluding an angle, feud, or storyline. Although we will not force anyone into angles, feuds, or storylines, if we see potential fits or want to help you boost your standing in Action Wrestling, we will contact you with possible angles, feuds or storylines we think your character(s) would be a great fit for.
As far as Out of Character goes in the fed, Action Wrestling is staffed by guys who have been moderators and administrators of other feds and know how to manage the boards. Action Wrestling’s OOC environment is friendly and welcoming. We don’t put up with drama or harassment. If you’ve typically shied away from the OOC of past feds or have been burnt due to dealing with these things, here at Action Wrestling you can interact with your fellow handlers in peace.
Not only does Action Wrestling’s staff members have experience managing the boards of feds we’ve been in, we’ve all been in this game upwards of over twenty years. We’re bringing over fifty years of combined experience in e-wrestling with a wide variety of character types. We know what works and what will be successful and we promise if you give Action Wrestling a chance, we will make you successful, too!
