Gimmick: After returning to the WCF half a year after The Mexico Incident of 2016, Ethan King had returned a changed man - a supremely talented combatant who was as savage as he was egotistical. After becoming a champion once more, and being apart of WCF's most dominant stable, Everest, 'The Eminent One' had virtually been declared the heir apparent, the next to The Throne that all wanted to be seated upon... right up until he felt just short of winning the Grand Prize at Ultimate Showdown.
The same happened at WAR XVI, where Ethan failed once again, although the impressive performance he put on earned him the moniker of "Iron Heart". Now the reigning Hardcore Champion, Ethan must balance the pride of being a champion with the lust of wanting the top belt in the company.
Due to a recent change of heart, and a realization that The Mexico Incident and Everest had brought out the worst of him, he and John Rabid (along with the help of Steven Singh, Gravedigger and Sidney J Warwick) worked to bring down the Everest Eye. They succeeded, thus severing David Sanchez's control over Chicago, and ruining the plot he had to ruin the City and the people who inhabited it.
Now, Ethan is making the gradual return back to the way he had once been. The transition from villain to hero will be a long one, but there's no doubt in the mind of anyone now.

Entrance
The beginning of "Alone With All The World” plays triumphantly throughout the arena, enticing a raucous wave of cheers from the crowd. The lights gradually begin to dim, coming down to a dark hue that places extra emphasis on the stage. Large, golden letters flash over the black titantron.
THE FUTURE KING...
THE FUTURE KING...
A flash of golden pyro goes off as Ethan King makes his way to the top of the entrance ramp from the backstage area, all-knowing smile spread over his face as he holds both arms out in a welcoming gesture, bathing in both the admiration and awe from the audience in attendance.
Kyle Steel: Introducing now the REIGNING Hardcore Champion! Hailing from Los Angeles, California. He is 'The Iron Heart'... ETHAN KING!"
The young superstar begins his descent down the ramp, Hardcore Title held over his shoulder, stopping occasionally to tag or shake the hands of the fans reaching over the barricade towards him.

The young superstar begins his descent down the ramp, Hardcore Title held over his shoulder, stopping occasionally to tag or shake the hands of the fans reaching over the barricade towards him.
He bounds up onto the apron of the ring, mouthing the words “Showtime” to the camera before leaping and swinging himself over the top rope, he lands elegantly and spins around, holding his arms out once more before coming to a complete stop in the center of the ring. He shrugs his Hardcore Title off his shoulder, raising it high above his head with one arm, before handing it over to the official.
He smiles once more before retreating to his own corner of the ring, sitting down with a look of amusement on his face as he awaits for the match to commence.
Wrestling Style
No longer the fresh-faced rookie he was coming into the WCF months ago, Ethan King is now a brutally efficient wrestler who is both technically sound and violent as a brawler. Although he is still a very capable high flyer and is quite possibly even more athletic and agile than he was previously, he chooses not to venture to the top rope as much as he used to. Even with these changes, Ethan King’s offense is still fast paced and is designed to overwhelm the opponent. Ethan is well versed in counters, grappling and striking, the latter two being his primary styles of offense.
Even with his newfound aggression and changed persona, Ethan King still lacks for strength, which he makes up for with his precision and technical ability. Because of this, Ethan is unable to lift up opponents that weigh more than 260lbs without struggling and utilizing a lot of energy. He will also not even attempt to lift anyone up that’s over 290.
And although far more technically sound than before, Ethan King is still not fully versed in the realm of submissions, even though he has a few at his disposal. He is relatively adept at utilizing submissions, but is prone to sometimes not setting these moves up correctly, or giving his opponents ample opportunity to escape from the holds.
