Alex, after saying goodbye to Omega and thanking Tesla gets back on the plane with his little brother. Shaun prepares for flight as Alex makes his own preparations.
Alex Richards: Out of curiosity, did you get your pilot's license renewed?
SZR: Of course I did! Would you think I would fly without it? Besides it was kind of necessary after you got kicked off of United Airlines, which was the last major airline that would allow you to fly with them.
Alex Richards: I thought the butter slide into a mountain of pancakes was a great idea not endangering the lives of other passengers. Everyone was fine and they all got breakfast and covered in syrup and butter. I call that a win!
SZR: Only you would consider that a success. Wait a second. You already got onto a plane with me without asking!
Alex Richards: Well yeah, I know I'm living to be 105. I was just hoping we were living on the edge! Zach, does the tv work in this thing?
SZR: Don't tell me you're going to watch the three stooges at a time like this?
Alex Richards: First off.. there's never a bad time for the Stooges. I also like the cooking channel because it makes me ready to hit the nearest Chinese buffet every single time.
Alex looks for the remote and ultimately Shaun sighs and hands it to him.
Alex Richards: I'm obviously going to scan for breaking news bulletins. The Strange Rover is a one of a kind vehicle. It stands out everywhere. Kind of like me. So that means whoever stole the Rover doesn't want to hide. They want to be seen. Because it's obviously something personal. So that means they are going to show up on the radar.
Alex continues to flip through channels quickly.. searching.
Alex Richards: Besides I got a sneaking suspicion as to who is doing this anyways. Stopping their plot.. that is going to be satisfying.. that's for damn sure. Son of a bitch!
Alex stops channel surfing and watches the feed trembling with anger.
Alex Richards: I fucking knew it. Zach.. take us to Philly.
SZR: For One? Already?
Alex Richards: I fucking wish that's why we were going to Philadelphia. It ain't for a cheese steak either. I fucking knew it! I fucking knew it was her.
The plane lands in Philadelphia. Alex races to the Smith Memorial Playground. It has been a warm day in Philadelphia for January. This led to good attendance at the park. Unfortunately for the children. Nearly 50 of them have been herded onto the massive wooden slide. The Strange Rover circles menacingly, trapping the kids. Police have gathered around, weapons drawn.
Cop: Let the children go! You don’t want to hurt them.
A booming, distorted voice answers from the Strange Rover. As if from a loudspeaker. It is a loudspeaker. The Strange Rover has a built in loud speaker. Because of course Alex would want one of those.
Voice: HOW DO YOU KNOW I DON’T WANT TO HURT ANYBODY. THAT’S DEFINATELY UNTRUE! THIS IS A HOSTAGE SITUATION, CORRECT? WELL I HAVE DEMANDS... SHOOT THIS HUNK OF JUNK!
Cop: We aren’t going to shoot you with all those children around. Be sensible.
Voice: YOU WILL SHOOT MY TRUCK OR I’LL RAM THE SLIDE AND START SQUASHING THESE LITTLE BRATS!
The head cop sighs, gives the signal and two snipers unleash hell on the Rover. No absolutely no effect. The distorted voice laughs.
Voice: COMPLETELY BULLETPROOF! I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW HOW IN CONTROL OF THIS SITUATION I AM! NOW I HAVE ONE DEMAND AND ONE DEMAND ONLY. BRING ME ALEX RICHARDS!
The lead police officer looks confused.
Cop: How are we supposed to get Alex Richards here on short notice?
Alex Richards appears out of thin air. Because he does have that invisibility thing going for him.
Alex Richards: Some psycho bitch stealing my ride and using it to threaten children. Yeah.. that’ll do it.
Voice: HERE’S HOW THIS IS GOING TO GO DOWN. ALEX RICHARDS WALK TO WITHIN 15 FEET OF THE SLIDE. IF HE GOES INVISIBLE AT ANY POINT I START HITTING CHILDREN UNTIL HE RE APPEARS! I BACK THE STRA NGE ROVER UP.. THEN I RUN OVER ALEX RICHARDS WITH HIS OWN VEHICLE! THEN DO IT AGAIN.. AND AGAIN.. AND AGAIN UNTIL HE IS LITTLE MORE THEN BLOOD STRAINS ON THE GRASS. THE KIDS GO HOME.. I GO TO JAIL.. AND YOU.. ALEX RICHARDS.. YOU GO TO HELL!
Alex looks at the Rover.
Alex Richards: You are not going to run me over with the Strange Rover. You can’t do it.
Voice: I KNEW YOU WOULD BE TOO MUCH OF A COWARD TO SACRAFICE YOUR OWN LIFE! FINE.. THESE KIDS BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS!
Alex Richards: I didn’t say I wasn’t going to do it. I say you can’t run me over with the Strange Rover.
Voice: WATCH ME.
Alex shrugs, walks away from the police and towards the slide. He stops 15 feet short. The Strange Rover backs up.. it quickly picks up speed. It barrels down on Alex Richards... then stops.. 6 inches from Alex’s face.
Voice: WHAT THE FUCK!
The Strange Rover is gunned again... the wheels spin.
Alex Richards: I told you you couldn’t run me over. Now Strange Rover.. toss their ass out.
Voice: NO FUCKING WAY! YOU FUCKING CAN’T..
The door opens.. the seat ejects firing the driver out the door. Alex looks seeing them for the first time.. it’s Evan Lynn Rudd. Alex doesn’t hesitate he grabs him by the throat and slams him hard against the Rover.
Alex Richards: Do you have any last words you sick fuck? Every time I see you you’re messing with children. You sold children overseas the last time I stopped you, now you’re trying to kill them with the Strange Rover? Well you ain’t going to get a chance to hurt anymore children.
Evan chokes out a statement.
ELR: It was never about children.. it was about you. Someone threatening kids is your weakness. I had to exploit it. You destroyed my family. You ruined the good name of Evil Paul Rudd and made him a laughingstock. My family has sworn a vendetta against you for generations. I couldn’t let them down.
Alex shakes his, slams him against the truck one more time then releases.
Alex Richards: You get one chance. One chance to turn your life around. Your great great grandfather was pure evil. So I did the one thing that ensured he would never return. Evan, you may have been born into seeking revenge but you have a choice. You have a choice to be good or to be evil. So I’ll give you one chance to make the right choice. But if you don’t.. I won’t hesitate to eliminate you. Because the risk of you doing something worse.. is not a risk I’m willing to take.
Alex tosses Evan Lynn Rudd away from his truck, towards the officers who quickly swarm him.
The lead police officer approaches Alex, respect in his eyes.
Cop: That was the craziest thing I have ever seen.
Alex shakes his head.
Alex Richards: Zero risk. I knew it was programmed to respond to my voice.
Cop: Like Alexa?
Alex chuckles.
Alex Richards: I am Alexa. At least that’s one of my alter egos.
Cop: I don’t believe that.
Alex Richards: Believe what you want. Besides Tesla’s technology makes Google’s look like a joke. I never would have found that truck if it didn’t want to be found. But the fact they let me find it.. I knew they had no idea what they were dealing with.
Cop: I don’t know if you’re completely insane or a God.
Alex Richards: I would never want to be a God.
Alex walks away, leaving the police officer dumbfounded. He climbs into the Rover.. for him it’s over. For Evan Lynn.. it’s just beginning. He’s not only going to jail but Alex’s words are running through his head. Making him wonder if his whole life up until this point was a waste. The parents and children joyfully and tearfully reunited. As for Alex he enters the Rover.. looks around.. and sighs.
Alex Richards: I thought it was you Bonnie. I really thought it was you. A little over a month ago I never would have thought that. I never would have thought Bonnie would do something so mean, so hurtful, so spiteful. But then you did. You tore out my heart last month Bonnie. You did the unspeakable. You turned on the Guardians.. and you did it for something so ultimately insignificant.. so shallow.. so fleeting.
Alex sighs again.
Alex Richards: You know what the worse part is.. even though it wasn’t you. It still could be next time. Or the time after that. One of these days.. it’s going to be you Bonnie. It’s going to be you doing some unspeakable evil. Unless I stop you. I will stop you Bonnie. Because as the final Guardian.. that’s my sworn duty. I helped create the monster you became Bonnie.. It’s my responsibility to destroy it.
Alex reaches into his ever present doctor’s bag... he pulls out an item, the UCI Tag Team Title belt.. he looks at it, sadly, before continuing.
Alex Richards: Do I have hard feelings about what Bonnie did? What a phrase. Feelings are tender. When they become hard you aren’t really feeling anymore. Apt statement, no? I didn’t come up with it. Came from a movie named the Good Witch’s Garden ironically enough. A Hallmark Channel movie. I only mention that because of how fitting it is. You’ll see what I mean soon enough.
Alex stares at the belt again, turning it over and over it his hands.
Alex Richards: I used to love this belt. Proof of how great the Guardians were. Proof of how great the Guardians could still be. It’s a tag team title Bonnie and I never lost. Never will lose. It’s why I was so insistent on us getting the tag team title shot last month. I wanted to relive that glory. People thought it was because I hated the Monstimals so much. That’s not it. It was about teaming with my closest friend in the WCF. It was about the bond I thought we had. You ruined these belts Bonnie. They mean nothing to me now. No matter how good we were as team mates you destroyed it. We were the best tag team the UCI ever had, we could have been the best tag team in WCF history as well. But no one else will ever know that.
Alex tosses the belt aside, unwilling to look at it any longer. It lands in a leather chair.
Alex Richards: Unoriginal people always said that Bonnie and I were an item. But the truth is even if Becky and I weren’t together it never would have happened. I’m just not Bonnie’s type. I’m not destructive enough. Well I may be self destructive but that’s not what Bonnie is drawn to. No, she’s drawn to people who will ultimately hurt her, people who will ultimately lead her down the wrong path. People who will ultimately lead to her own downfall. Some people think Bonnie is evil. But she’s not. John Rabid is evil. So Bonnie has gone in that direction. Just like she always does when she has a lover. First Wade Moor.. now John Rabid. She doesn’t realize the truth. The Sea God didn’t love her.. he was only using her. But she didn’t learn from the mistake. She ignored it. She followed her heart instead of her head. So she made the same mistake. She trusted another man who’s using her to further his own means.
Alex dabs at his eyes.
Alex Richards: I don’t want to do this. I don’t want to have to destroy Bonnie Blue. But I do. I know what John Rabid is capable of. So I have to sever this alliance. I have to end it. How do I do that though? I have to make it so Bonnie doesn’t have what John Rabid wants. I have to take the world title belt away from her. I have to take the ultimate power in wrestling away from her.
Alex takes a deep breathe.
Alex Richards: I gotta though. I gave Bonnie a second chance. When the world thought I was dead Bonnie turned to the dark side. The darkest possible side. She aligned herself with the Beach Krew. She took Wade Moor as her lover and his evil, despicable friends became her allies. She teamed with the men who ran Jay Omega and later me out of the WCF. She turned her back on what she thought was the memory of me to join up with people she knew were evil. But she didn’t care. It was more important to her to have Wade Moor then to be on the side of right. But even though it isn’t in a romantic way, in my own way I loved Bonnie Blue. I respected Bonnie Blue. I knew she had done better, that she could do better. So I returned to wrestling to show her the way. But I think maybe I should have taken out Evan Lynn when I had my chance. Because Bonnie didn’t learn from her mistake. She promptly made the exact same fucking mistake the next opportunity that came along!
Alex raises his voice.
Alex Richards: How could you be so fucking stupid as to not realize John Rabid is using you? Who could have stopped the vampire Rabid? Fucking Guardians.. fucking metahumans.. a fucking master of time! But instead you joined him. You allowed him to pervert you to his cause. What did John Rabid ever do for you?
Alex thinks.
Alex Richards: He infected you with his sickness. Then he used it to control you. Check and mate. Bonnie, you are one of the strongest competitors I have ever seen in wrestling. If there was anyone I wanted on my side.. it was you. But you have one weakness. You blind yourself to the fault of people who you love. So I have to take you out. I have to destroy you before John Rabid gets to use you like a weapon. Before he uses you to do the damage.
Alex seems on the verge of tears again.
Alex Richards: Damn you Bonnie Blue. Damn you for forcing me to do this. Damn you for forcing me to destroy you. Because I can destroy you. I’ve fought by your side for years and because of this I know what it takes to bring you down. When Odin Balfore humbled you at WAR the Guardians brought you back up.. the Guardians got you your redemption. But we both know the truth. I can defeat Odin Balfore on my own.. each and every time we go to war. You can’t. You knew you couldn’t. So you sold your soul to John Rabid for a power increase. You went full vampire in order to defeat the God.
Alex roars.
Alex Richards: I beat the fucking God on my own. You know what that means? I can beat the vampire too. Both of them if I have to. I beat the witch, I beat the God, there’s only one left to defeat. The traitor. I just listed reason after reason why I’m motivated to decimate Bonnie Blue. Why do you want to do the same to me, Bonnie?
Alex stares straight ahead.
Alex Richards: Well? What ya got? You want to win, right? Not enough! Not nearly enough! I fight for justice.. the exact same thing you used to fight for Bonnie! Do you think for one second there is anything you can hit me with that will stop me? Do you think I’m going to get you and John Rabid finish up One with the world title in your hands? Not a fucking chance! You’ve seen what I’ve done since I returned to the WCF. One man has defeated me.. Teo Blaze. You know what I had against Teo Blaze? Absolutely nothing. I also didn’t win WAR. You know what I had against most of the people competing in WAR? Also absolutely nothing.
Alex practically spits fire as he states..
Alex Richards: I hated Odin because he was a lazy, callous, arrogance God. I dismantled him. I had perfect motivation to defeat Noble Savage, as a teaching tool. I did just that. James Wolf was an asshole. I beat that asshole time and time again. When I truly want a victory there isn’t a person on the WCF roster who can stop me. Perhaps not a person alive. You know this Bonnie. You fought with me and you know what I’m capable of. Especially you know what I’m capable of when I’m facing someone I truly despise.
Alex looks over at the belt once again.
Alex Richards: For the other two opponents, this is about achieving my lifelong goal of winning the WCF world title. Something no one ever believed I would achieve. That would have been more then enough motivation to win the main event of One now wouldn’t it? But against you.. it’s truly personal. The other two opponents I would hate to lose you. But I can’t lose to you Bonnie. I literally can’t let you get away with forming your unholy alliance with John Rabid. I can’t let you get away with trying to end the Guardians. The bad guys do not win this story.
Alex repeats with determination.
Alex Richards: The bad guys do not defeat Alex Richards. Bonnie.. John Rabid has convinced you that you never would have won the world title without him. He’s not going to fight for you at One. And I know the truth. You never would have won at Payback without The Guardians. You never would have gotten the title shot without the Guardians. We believed you in enough to win Helimination in order to get you that shot. But you didn’t believe in yourself enough to fight Odin straight. You know what that means? When you face me, Noble, and Odin you’ll have doubts. I know you well enough to know that. I know how to exploit that. I know that you are going to hit me with everything you have. I know that after what Rabid did to you you’ll hit even harder then ever before. But I also know this.. with every powerful blow you hit me with that doesn’t end the match your confidence will wilt. It will wither every time I kick out. Every Time Lock I break the longer the odds of victory will become for you. When the Weeping Angel only leaves you crying tears of frustration that confidence will fade even further. John Rabid making you a full vampire helped you win the world title.. but it will lead to your downfall. Because you know deep down.. you didn’t earn that title. You don’t deserve that title. You cheated. I earned this One match by defeating everyone Corey Black put in front of me. When you are unable to put me away you’ll see the truth in my words. You’ll know that you sold the Guardians out for a cup of coffee with the world title and a relationship that will not last much longer then that.
Alex looks at his doctor’s bag again.. pulls out the boot.. then returns it.. No drinking right now.. he’s all business.
Alex Richards: When you betrayed me Bonnie.. it hurt. It cut me deeply. I’m fixing to return the favour at One. I want to, I need to hurt you like you hurt me. I need you to feel that pain. Because it might be the last thing that can save you. I can’t save you from John Rabid. I can only destroy you. But maybe.. maybe if I can beat the truth into you. Maybe if I can show you how wrong you are.

When One is over I’m going to leave you with nothing. I’m going to show you it wasn’t worth it. Everything you did ultimately left you in a worse place. The good guys are winning this one. Me.
Alex nods as if steeling himself for the battle.
Alex Richards: I have more to fight for anyways. You’re fighting for a love, deep down nobody knows is going to last. Fuck, the minute you won the title your ex boyfriend Wade Moor congratulated John Rabid for his victory at Payback on Twitter. Think about it! You got used and spit out by the Beach Krew once. A group that contained both John Rabid and Wade Moor. Now they are fucking doing it to you again! You know what? I won’t let them have their ultimate victory. I’m going to take you out myself Bonnie. You betrayed the Guardians for love Bonnie. But you had love all along. It was just romantic love. That love would have lasted. But instead it transformed. Into something that’s going to destroy you in the end. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. But if you never loved someone you can’t feel deeply enough to truly hate them. To truly want to end them. I will end this Bonnie. I will do it for you... for me.. for the Guardians.

But that doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. Why do you think I was so eager to talk to Jay Omega earlier today after all? Odin Balfore said I wasn’t a leader because I didn’t immediately find new partners for the Guardians. That just proves Odin is a moron. I didn’t immediately select new Guardians because being a Guardian is an honour! It’s not something anyone can do! I wasn’t going to raise the Guardians up with anyone other then people of character. Real Guardians. I’m going to use One to call to real Guardians. To reinstate the greatness that we always were. Bonnie Blue, your defeat is going to gain to the rebirth of the Guardians. Your destruction is going to allow the Guardians to live on. That’s the greatest gift I can give to you now. You were a great leader Bonnie, but then you allowed yourself to be corrupted. You allowed yourself to be lead like a puppet. You deserve more then that. After One you’ll be remember as the starting point for the new generation of Guardians. At One I’ll show the world what I have to offer as the leader of the Guardians. When I liquidate the assets of the previous leader. The story goes Judas got his 15 pieces of silver for betraying Jesus. I won’t even give you that. I’m taking back the gold you got for betraying the Guardians. Then you have a choice. You can remain Rabid’s patsy. Or you can be your own woman.

Alex Richards: That’s up to you though. At this point I can only hurt you.. I can’t help you.. as much as I would like to. But I will hurt you as much as I can. Because that’s all I can do. I can only show you how wrong you were.. I can’t make any decisions for you. But I can show the world that being a Guardian means in the end you will be the victor. In the end being the good guy means you will be rewarded. I will stand in the ring at the end of One holding the world title in the air, knowing my years of hard work have paid off. And you.. you Bonnie.. will know you got exactly what you deserved.
Alex moves to the driver’s seat of the Rover.. since he hasn’t been drinking he can even drive.
Alex Richards: Odin Balfore and Noble Savage.. they will listen to my words.. and they won’t believe them. Because they are foolish.. that’s going to be their undoing. but you’re worse Bonnie. You’re worse because you know I’m right. You know everything I said was true. In fact I’m going to send a tape of this to your locker room. Because I want to you know why I come at you so hard Monday night. I want you to know why I made you suffer so much. I want you to know.. you deserve every bit of it. Because you do.. and you know it. Think of your father Bonnie. Somewhere Johnny Reb is sitting, disappointed in the choices you made. Thinking “I gave up my DNA for this?”

That’s what refusing to sell out your principles gets you. None of my opponents at One can say that. It weakens them. It means that in the end.. all of them will quit if it benefits them. I never do. Maybe I’m too stubborn.. maybe I’m too dumb to give up. Or maybe.. maybe I’m simply right. My whole life I wanted to accomplish something. When I joined the Guardians I was finally home. I’m not going to let anyone, not even the former leader spit on that or disrespect that. You came into my home Bonnie and you tried to burn it down. I don’t think so. I’m going to show you how badly you fucked up. How badly you underestimated me. On some level you think that I’m not your equal. That I won’t be able to bring you to justice. You should remember this Bonnie. I beat you when we were friends. That wasn’t personal. That was about a title. But I become king in the UCI after defeating you. It was just a stupid title though. Means nothing long term. The Guardians. The Guardians are forever. Imagine how hard I’m going to fight for the survival of the Guardians. Bonnie.. you are fucked. You are fucked beyond belief. This is not your Guardians anymore. Because you proved you weren’t worthy! Axl Rose put it best..

So my goal was to make sure other important figures didn’t throw their support behind the Society. Andre Holmes was compromised and joined them so that’s why I couldn’t let any Guardian know. But John Rabid has his own underworld connections. If I was in Europe he would have known. So my question to you Bonnie is.. why didn’t he let you know? Simple answer. It didn’t benefit him so he didn’t care. That’s the man you left the Guardians for Bonnie. Silly girl.. you left me and the Guardians for slime like that? You weren’t the first to betray us Bonnie.. but you did it for the dumbest reason of them all. You had a chance to be remembered forever. Instead if people remember you it will be as an example of why you don’t cross Alex Richards. And more importantly why you don’t fuck with the Guardians. My Guardians. There will be more. Cop: We aren’t going to shoot you with all those children around. Be sensible.
Voice: YOU WILL SHOOT MY TRUCK OR I’LL RAM THE SLIDE AND START SQUASHING THESE LITTLE BRATS!
The head cop sighs, gives the signal and two snipers unleash hell on the Rover. No absolutely no effect. The distorted voice laughs.
Voice: COMPLETELY BULLETPROOF! I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW HOW IN CONTROL OF THIS SITUATION I AM! NOW I HAVE ONE DEMAND AND ONE DEMAND ONLY. BRING ME ALEX RICHARDS!
The lead police officer looks confused.
Cop: How are we supposed to get Alex Richards here on short notice?
Alex Richards appears out of thin air. Because he does have that invisibility thing going for him.
Alex Richards: Some psycho bitch stealing my ride and using it to threaten children. Yeah.. that’ll do it.
Voice: HERE’S HOW THIS IS GOING TO GO DOWN. ALEX RICHARDS WALK TO WITHIN 15 FEET OF THE SLIDE. IF HE GOES INVISIBLE AT ANY POINT I START HITTING CHILDREN UNTIL HE RE APPEARS! I BACK THE STRA NGE ROVER UP.. THEN I RUN OVER ALEX RICHARDS WITH HIS OWN VEHICLE! THEN DO IT AGAIN.. AND AGAIN.. AND AGAIN UNTIL HE IS LITTLE MORE THEN BLOOD STRAINS ON THE GRASS. THE KIDS GO HOME.. I GO TO JAIL.. AND YOU.. ALEX RICHARDS.. YOU GO TO HELL!
Alex looks at the Rover.
Alex Richards: You are not going to run me over with the Strange Rover. You can’t do it.
Voice: I KNEW YOU WOULD BE TOO MUCH OF A COWARD TO SACRAFICE YOUR OWN LIFE! FINE.. THESE KIDS BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS!
Alex Richards: I didn’t say I wasn’t going to do it. I say you can’t run me over with the Strange Rover.
Voice: WATCH ME.
Alex shrugs, walks away from the police and towards the slide. He stops 15 feet short. The Strange Rover backs up.. it quickly picks up speed. It barrels down on Alex Richards... then stops.. 6 inches from Alex’s face.
Voice: WHAT THE FUCK!
The Strange Rover is gunned again... the wheels spin.
Alex Richards: I told you you couldn’t run me over. Now Strange Rover.. toss their ass out.
Voice: NO FUCKING WAY! YOU FUCKING CAN’T..
The door opens.. the seat ejects firing the driver out the door. Alex looks seeing them for the first time.. it’s Evan Lynn Rudd. Alex doesn’t hesitate he grabs him by the throat and slams him hard against the Rover.
Alex Richards: Do you have any last words you sick fuck? Every time I see you you’re messing with children. You sold children overseas the last time I stopped you, now you’re trying to kill them with the Strange Rover? Well you ain’t going to get a chance to hurt anymore children.
Evan chokes out a statement.
ELR: It was never about children.. it was about you. Someone threatening kids is your weakness. I had to exploit it. You destroyed my family. You ruined the good name of Evil Paul Rudd and made him a laughingstock. My family has sworn a vendetta against you for generations. I couldn’t let them down.
Alex shakes his, slams him against the truck one more time then releases.
Alex Richards: You get one chance. One chance to turn your life around. Your great great grandfather was pure evil. So I did the one thing that ensured he would never return. Evan, you may have been born into seeking revenge but you have a choice. You have a choice to be good or to be evil. So I’ll give you one chance to make the right choice. But if you don’t.. I won’t hesitate to eliminate you. Because the risk of you doing something worse.. is not a risk I’m willing to take.
Alex tosses Evan Lynn Rudd away from his truck, towards the officers who quickly swarm him.
The lead police officer approaches Alex, respect in his eyes.
Cop: That was the craziest thing I have ever seen.
Alex shakes his head.
Alex Richards: Zero risk. I knew it was programmed to respond to my voice.
Cop: Like Alexa?
Alex chuckles.
Alex Richards: I am Alexa. At least that’s one of my alter egos.
Cop: I don’t believe that.
Alex Richards: Believe what you want. Besides Tesla’s technology makes Google’s look like a joke. I never would have found that truck if it didn’t want to be found. But the fact they let me find it.. I knew they had no idea what they were dealing with.
Cop: I don’t know if you’re completely insane or a God.
Alex Richards: I would never want to be a God.
Alex walks away, leaving the police officer dumbfounded. He climbs into the Rover.. for him it’s over. For Evan Lynn.. it’s just beginning. He’s not only going to jail but Alex’s words are running through his head. Making him wonder if his whole life up until this point was a waste. The parents and children joyfully and tearfully reunited. As for Alex he enters the Rover.. looks around.. and sighs.
Alex Richards: I thought it was you Bonnie. I really thought it was you. A little over a month ago I never would have thought that. I never would have thought Bonnie would do something so mean, so hurtful, so spiteful. But then you did. You tore out my heart last month Bonnie. You did the unspeakable. You turned on the Guardians.. and you did it for something so ultimately insignificant.. so shallow.. so fleeting.
Alex sighs again.
Alex Richards: You know what the worse part is.. even though it wasn’t you. It still could be next time. Or the time after that. One of these days.. it’s going to be you Bonnie. It’s going to be you doing some unspeakable evil. Unless I stop you. I will stop you Bonnie. Because as the final Guardian.. that’s my sworn duty. I helped create the monster you became Bonnie.. It’s my responsibility to destroy it.
Alex reaches into his ever present doctor’s bag... he pulls out an item, the UCI Tag Team Title belt.. he looks at it, sadly, before continuing.
Alex Richards: Do I have hard feelings about what Bonnie did? What a phrase. Feelings are tender. When they become hard you aren’t really feeling anymore. Apt statement, no? I didn’t come up with it. Came from a movie named the Good Witch’s Garden ironically enough. A Hallmark Channel movie. I only mention that because of how fitting it is. You’ll see what I mean soon enough.
Alex stares at the belt again, turning it over and over it his hands.
Alex Richards: I used to love this belt. Proof of how great the Guardians were. Proof of how great the Guardians could still be. It’s a tag team title Bonnie and I never lost. Never will lose. It’s why I was so insistent on us getting the tag team title shot last month. I wanted to relive that glory. People thought it was because I hated the Monstimals so much. That’s not it. It was about teaming with my closest friend in the WCF. It was about the bond I thought we had. You ruined these belts Bonnie. They mean nothing to me now. No matter how good we were as team mates you destroyed it. We were the best tag team the UCI ever had, we could have been the best tag team in WCF history as well. But no one else will ever know that.
Alex tosses the belt aside, unwilling to look at it any longer. It lands in a leather chair.
Alex Richards: Unoriginal people always said that Bonnie and I were an item. But the truth is even if Becky and I weren’t together it never would have happened. I’m just not Bonnie’s type. I’m not destructive enough. Well I may be self destructive but that’s not what Bonnie is drawn to. No, she’s drawn to people who will ultimately hurt her, people who will ultimately lead her down the wrong path. People who will ultimately lead to her own downfall. Some people think Bonnie is evil. But she’s not. John Rabid is evil. So Bonnie has gone in that direction. Just like she always does when she has a lover. First Wade Moor.. now John Rabid. She doesn’t realize the truth. The Sea God didn’t love her.. he was only using her. But she didn’t learn from the mistake. She ignored it. She followed her heart instead of her head. So she made the same mistake. She trusted another man who’s using her to further his own means.
Alex dabs at his eyes.
Alex Richards: I don’t want to do this. I don’t want to have to destroy Bonnie Blue. But I do. I know what John Rabid is capable of. So I have to sever this alliance. I have to end it. How do I do that though? I have to make it so Bonnie doesn’t have what John Rabid wants. I have to take the world title belt away from her. I have to take the ultimate power in wrestling away from her.
Alex takes a deep breathe.
Alex Richards: I gotta though. I gave Bonnie a second chance. When the world thought I was dead Bonnie turned to the dark side. The darkest possible side. She aligned herself with the Beach Krew. She took Wade Moor as her lover and his evil, despicable friends became her allies. She teamed with the men who ran Jay Omega and later me out of the WCF. She turned her back on what she thought was the memory of me to join up with people she knew were evil. But she didn’t care. It was more important to her to have Wade Moor then to be on the side of right. But even though it isn’t in a romantic way, in my own way I loved Bonnie Blue. I respected Bonnie Blue. I knew she had done better, that she could do better. So I returned to wrestling to show her the way. But I think maybe I should have taken out Evan Lynn when I had my chance. Because Bonnie didn’t learn from her mistake. She promptly made the exact same fucking mistake the next opportunity that came along!
Alex raises his voice.
Alex Richards: How could you be so fucking stupid as to not realize John Rabid is using you? Who could have stopped the vampire Rabid? Fucking Guardians.. fucking metahumans.. a fucking master of time! But instead you joined him. You allowed him to pervert you to his cause. What did John Rabid ever do for you?
Alex thinks.
Alex Richards: He infected you with his sickness. Then he used it to control you. Check and mate. Bonnie, you are one of the strongest competitors I have ever seen in wrestling. If there was anyone I wanted on my side.. it was you. But you have one weakness. You blind yourself to the fault of people who you love. So I have to take you out. I have to destroy you before John Rabid gets to use you like a weapon. Before he uses you to do the damage.
Alex seems on the verge of tears again.
Alex Richards: Damn you Bonnie Blue. Damn you for forcing me to do this. Damn you for forcing me to destroy you. Because I can destroy you. I’ve fought by your side for years and because of this I know what it takes to bring you down. When Odin Balfore humbled you at WAR the Guardians brought you back up.. the Guardians got you your redemption. But we both know the truth. I can defeat Odin Balfore on my own.. each and every time we go to war. You can’t. You knew you couldn’t. So you sold your soul to John Rabid for a power increase. You went full vampire in order to defeat the God.
Alex roars.
Alex Richards: I beat the fucking God on my own. You know what that means? I can beat the vampire too. Both of them if I have to. I beat the witch, I beat the God, there’s only one left to defeat. The traitor. I just listed reason after reason why I’m motivated to decimate Bonnie Blue. Why do you want to do the same to me, Bonnie?
Alex stares straight ahead.
Alex Richards: Well? What ya got? You want to win, right? Not enough! Not nearly enough! I fight for justice.. the exact same thing you used to fight for Bonnie! Do you think for one second there is anything you can hit me with that will stop me? Do you think I’m going to get you and John Rabid finish up One with the world title in your hands? Not a fucking chance! You’ve seen what I’ve done since I returned to the WCF. One man has defeated me.. Teo Blaze. You know what I had against Teo Blaze? Absolutely nothing. I also didn’t win WAR. You know what I had against most of the people competing in WAR? Also absolutely nothing.
Alex practically spits fire as he states..
Alex Richards: I hated Odin because he was a lazy, callous, arrogance God. I dismantled him. I had perfect motivation to defeat Noble Savage, as a teaching tool. I did just that. James Wolf was an asshole. I beat that asshole time and time again. When I truly want a victory there isn’t a person on the WCF roster who can stop me. Perhaps not a person alive. You know this Bonnie. You fought with me and you know what I’m capable of. Especially you know what I’m capable of when I’m facing someone I truly despise.
Alex looks over at the belt once again.
Alex Richards: For the other two opponents, this is about achieving my lifelong goal of winning the WCF world title. Something no one ever believed I would achieve. That would have been more then enough motivation to win the main event of One now wouldn’t it? But against you.. it’s truly personal. The other two opponents I would hate to lose you. But I can’t lose to you Bonnie. I literally can’t let you get away with forming your unholy alliance with John Rabid. I can’t let you get away with trying to end the Guardians. The bad guys do not win this story.
Alex repeats with determination.
Alex Richards: The bad guys do not defeat Alex Richards. Bonnie.. John Rabid has convinced you that you never would have won the world title without him. He’s not going to fight for you at One. And I know the truth. You never would have won at Payback without The Guardians. You never would have gotten the title shot without the Guardians. We believed you in enough to win Helimination in order to get you that shot. But you didn’t believe in yourself enough to fight Odin straight. You know what that means? When you face me, Noble, and Odin you’ll have doubts. I know you well enough to know that. I know how to exploit that. I know that you are going to hit me with everything you have. I know that after what Rabid did to you you’ll hit even harder then ever before. But I also know this.. with every powerful blow you hit me with that doesn’t end the match your confidence will wilt. It will wither every time I kick out. Every Time Lock I break the longer the odds of victory will become for you. When the Weeping Angel only leaves you crying tears of frustration that confidence will fade even further. John Rabid making you a full vampire helped you win the world title.. but it will lead to your downfall. Because you know deep down.. you didn’t earn that title. You don’t deserve that title. You cheated. I earned this One match by defeating everyone Corey Black put in front of me. When you are unable to put me away you’ll see the truth in my words. You’ll know that you sold the Guardians out for a cup of coffee with the world title and a relationship that will not last much longer then that.
Alex looks at his doctor’s bag again.. pulls out the boot.. then returns it.. No drinking right now.. he’s all business.
Alex Richards: When you betrayed me Bonnie.. it hurt. It cut me deeply. I’m fixing to return the favour at One. I want to, I need to hurt you like you hurt me. I need you to feel that pain. Because it might be the last thing that can save you. I can’t save you from John Rabid. I can only destroy you. But maybe.. maybe if I can beat the truth into you. Maybe if I can show you how wrong you are.
Alex shrugs.
Alex Richards: It’s stupid, right? You made your choice. You chose John Rabid over me.. over the Guardians. Now you have to live with it. More importantly you have to live with the consequences. When One is over I’m going to leave you with nothing. I’m going to show you it wasn’t worth it. Everything you did ultimately left you in a worse place. The good guys are winning this one. Me.
Alex nods as if steeling himself for the battle.
Alex Richards: I have more to fight for anyways. You’re fighting for a love, deep down nobody knows is going to last. Fuck, the minute you won the title your ex boyfriend Wade Moor congratulated John Rabid for his victory at Payback on Twitter. Think about it! You got used and spit out by the Beach Krew once. A group that contained both John Rabid and Wade Moor. Now they are fucking doing it to you again! You know what? I won’t let them have their ultimate victory. I’m going to take you out myself Bonnie. You betrayed the Guardians for love Bonnie. But you had love all along. It was just romantic love. That love would have lasted. But instead it transformed. Into something that’s going to destroy you in the end. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. But if you never loved someone you can’t feel deeply enough to truly hate them. To truly want to end them. I will end this Bonnie. I will do it for you... for me.. for the Guardians.
Alex smiles for the first time since talking about Bonnie.
Alex Richards: Yes.. the Guardians. I’m going to do it for the Guardians. Because like a phoenix.. the Guardians can rise from the ashes. I may be the Final Guardian.. in the WCF..... at the moment. But that doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. Why do you think I was so eager to talk to Jay Omega earlier today after all? Odin Balfore said I wasn’t a leader because I didn’t immediately find new partners for the Guardians. That just proves Odin is a moron. I didn’t immediately select new Guardians because being a Guardian is an honour! It’s not something anyone can do! I wasn’t going to raise the Guardians up with anyone other then people of character. Real Guardians. I’m going to use One to call to real Guardians. To reinstate the greatness that we always were. Bonnie Blue, your defeat is going to gain to the rebirth of the Guardians. Your destruction is going to allow the Guardians to live on. That’s the greatest gift I can give to you now. You were a great leader Bonnie, but then you allowed yourself to be corrupted. You allowed yourself to be lead like a puppet. You deserve more then that. After One you’ll be remember as the starting point for the new generation of Guardians. At One I’ll show the world what I have to offer as the leader of the Guardians. When I liquidate the assets of the previous leader. The story goes Judas got his 15 pieces of silver for betraying Jesus. I won’t even give you that. I’m taking back the gold you got for betraying the Guardians. Then you have a choice. You can remain Rabid’s patsy. Or you can be your own woman.
Alex shrugs again.
Alex Richards: That’s up to you though. At this point I can only hurt you.. I can’t help you.. as much as I would like to. But I will hurt you as much as I can. Because that’s all I can do. I can only show you how wrong you were.. I can’t make any decisions for you. But I can show the world that being a Guardian means in the end you will be the victor. In the end being the good guy means you will be rewarded. I will stand in the ring at the end of One holding the world title in the air, knowing my years of hard work have paid off. And you.. you Bonnie.. will know you got exactly what you deserved.
Alex moves to the driver’s seat of the Rover.. since he hasn’t been drinking he can even drive.
Alex Richards: Odin Balfore and Noble Savage.. they will listen to my words.. and they won’t believe them. Because they are foolish.. that’s going to be their undoing. but you’re worse Bonnie. You’re worse because you know I’m right. You know everything I said was true. In fact I’m going to send a tape of this to your locker room. Because I want to you know why I come at you so hard Monday night. I want you to know why I made you suffer so much. I want you to know.. you deserve every bit of it. Because you do.. and you know it. Think of your father Bonnie. Somewhere Johnny Reb is sitting, disappointed in the choices you made. Thinking “I gave up my DNA for this?”
Alex fires up the Rover, revs the engine.
Alex Richards: Purrs like a Zim-Quila guzzling kitten. Which is kind of like Becky if I’m being honest. At the end of One I’ll have everything, a girl who loves me, the leadership of the Guardians, and the world title. That’s what hard work gets you. That’s what refusing to sell out your principles gets you. None of my opponents at One can say that. It weakens them. It means that in the end.. all of them will quit if it benefits them. I never do. Maybe I’m too stubborn.. maybe I’m too dumb to give up. Or maybe.. maybe I’m simply right. My whole life I wanted to accomplish something. When I joined the Guardians I was finally home. I’m not going to let anyone, not even the former leader spit on that or disrespect that. You came into my home Bonnie and you tried to burn it down. I don’t think so. I’m going to show you how badly you fucked up. How badly you underestimated me. On some level you think that I’m not your equal. That I won’t be able to bring you to justice. You should remember this Bonnie. I beat you when we were friends. That wasn’t personal. That was about a title. But I become king in the UCI after defeating you. It was just a stupid title though. Means nothing long term. The Guardians. The Guardians are forever. Imagine how hard I’m going to fight for the survival of the Guardians. Bonnie.. you are fucked. You are fucked beyond belief. This is not your Guardians anymore. Because you proved you weren’t worthy! Axl Rose put it best..
Alex sings.. in his usual horrible voice but no trace of humour in it this time.
Alex Richards: I used to love her.. but I had to kill her. Bonnie Blue.. I will kill your dreams.. just like you tried to kill mine. Vampires aren’t forever. But the Guardians are. I’m proving that at One. I fight for the Guardians. You fight for nothing Bonnie. Before I leave I have some final words for thought. When everyone thought I was dead there was a reason behind it. I had to remain invisible because I had to stop the spread of the Society overseas. Everyone knew the Yakuza was deeply involved. So my goal was to make sure other important figures didn’t throw their support behind the Society. Andre Holmes was compromised and joined them so that’s why I couldn’t let any Guardian know. But John Rabid has his own underworld connections. If I was in Europe he would have known. So my question to you Bonnie is.. why didn’t he let you know? Simple answer. It didn’t benefit him so he didn’t care. That’s the man you left the Guardians for Bonnie. Silly girl.. you left me and the Guardians for slime like that? You weren’t the first to betray us Bonnie.. but you did it for the dumbest reason of them all. You had a chance to be remembered forever. Instead if people remember you it will be as an example of why you don’t cross Alex Richards. And more importantly why you don’t fuck with the Guardians. My Guardians. There will be more. That will be your last contribution to the group. You will show the power of the Guardians.. by falling at my hands.
Alex pulls the Strange Rover into gear.
Alex Richards: Now.. let’s see what this baby can really do!
