*The shot opens up on a WCF set. The set is laid out for a back and forth interview. The backdrop is a white wall with a large flat panel monitor in the middle. Two chairs sit at the edges of the monitor, framing it. A green WCF logo spins on the monitor. A glass table sits in the middle of the chairs with two cups of water sitting on it. Zach Davis is sitting in the chair on the left dressed in a suit and tie. Although the set up is formal, there is slightly relaxed atmosphere in the air. Zach begins to speak.*
Zach Davis: Ladies and gentlemen thank you for joining us for a special interview segment! It was just a week ago that the team of WCF Legends, Logan, Torture, Corey Black and Dake Ken defeated the Dark Side to give control of the WCF back to Seth Lerch.
*Highlights from Explosion play on the monitor.*
Zach Davis: Well today we have an interview lined up with one of the WCF Legends from that match!
He is possibly one of the most technically gifted wrestlers in the world today and has been involved in some of the most classic battles in WCF history. He was one of the members of one of the most dominate factions in WCF history. He has held the TV Title and the Tag Team Titles. However the WCF World Title has eluded him. WCF fans I give to you, the one and only, Dake Ken!
Fucking Bow Down!
*"Bow Down" by Born of Osiris beings to play and Dake Ken walks onto the set. He is smiling widely and looks to be very pleased. He is wearing a WCF t-shirt and jeans. He looks to be very comfortable and very laid back. This is not something that the WCF crowd is used to seeing. Dake has always been the hard nosed ass hole. The guys who is always seeking perfection and always willing to flatten any obstacle any person who stood in his way.
Zach Davis stands and shakes Dake's hand. They greet each other but the words spoken are inaudible. They both take a seat and Dake reaches out and takes a drink of water. He sets the glass back down and ...*
Dake Ken: What's up Zach?! Feel better not that you know your job is safe?
Zach Davis: Well, it's always nice to have job security, but I don't know. Anything can happen.
Dake Ken: I don't think Gravedigger is going to be back in power or anything. As long as you don't get yourself fired.
Zach Davis: I try and stay out of trouble.
Dake Ken: *chuckling* You ever think we'd be having a conversations ... errr ... *air quotes* interview *air quotes* like this with me?
Zach Davis: I'm going to have to admit. I did not ever think that I could have a laid back interview with you. You've always been so intense. You've always been so focused on dominating the WCF ...
Dake Ken: Well, I'm going to have to admit, and I'm sorry for interrupting, but I have to admit. I am still hell bent on dominating the WCF. I am totally focused on becoming the number one contender for the title.
Zach Davis: Corey Black, Johnny Reb and Chris Avery have to be focused as well.
Dake Ken: Indeed, they must be. ... I'm sure Corey has been focused, he wants Torture. He has been after Torture, but Corey Black can not beat me. Corey Black is not on the same talent level as I am. I might not be the same Dake Ken as I was years ago. However it's only been five years since I debuted in the WCF. It was only five years ago when I dominated this place with The Elite. It was only five years ago, and not THAT much has changed about me in those five years.
Zach Davis: You've had a history with injuries though.
Dake Ken: I have, but one thing about me is I've always had the ability to adapt. Learn. I've always adapted to the situation and I know how to avoid attacks on my knees. I don't get caught in silly submissions. I am far more advanced technically than anyone else I'll face on Slam.
Zach Davis: Johnny Reb has been very impressive though. What do you think about him.
Dake Ken: He says I'm an unknown factor. HAHAHAH! I understand what he's saying, I understand where he's coming from but ...
DO YOUR RESEARCH! If you don't know what I'm about, then just be ready to get mowed down on Slam. The history is there for you to see. Hahah. I don't go into any match without knowing my opponent like the back of my hand. You should consider doing the same.
Zach Davis: Chris Avery isn't a laughing matter. Torture has to have him ready. Torture isn't going to overlook you. Torture is too good for that.
Dake Ken: I agree. Chris Avery is just another person in my way of getting to the WCF Championship. That Championship is ... I really can't explain it. It always escapes my grasp. ... I ... I have got to have it.
Zach Davis: Why?
Dake Ken: To raise the bar in WCF I have to actually have the bar. If I am at the top then the others have to climb to get to me. I'm doing this for the fans this time. The people who have supported me from the get go. I want them to be able to watch any WCF match and see a world class match. A match that will grasp them and pull them in. Every time. This time it's not just about me being elite. This time it's about making the WCF elite. I want it to be the WCF's new catch phrase. WCF ... Elite. It fits. I have taken it upon myself to make an entire Federation better. The best!
Zach Davis: Dake, I have to say ... it has been very awesome talking to you today. This is a side of you I have never seen and it is something I really enjoy. Best of luck to you at Slam!
