I don't know if this will jive with the post theme but yesterday I learned about this game where you wrap like hundred things or whatever your heart comes up with in clear cellophane, and then after you've got it wrapped with whatever. Money, deck of cards, or gift cards, candy, you get what I'm talking about...
you get the oven mitts out and the dice. How the game works is one person rolls until they get a double and then they pass the oven mitts to the next person. and so on. You need one person to start unwrapping this giant ball of goodies. Then when somebody hits double on the dice they have to pass the over mitts to the next person. You want to see people get ultra competitive fast, and see the best or worst of that person then play this game. You can only use your hands in the the oven mitts. Roll a double, pass the oven mitts, unwrap until then next person gets a double. Once everything is unwrapped it is over. But yeah this is one of those games where when you find the trick to it use it against everybody else and hope they're not good at rolling dice.
It was definitely interesting watching family play this game. It gets intense quick. Whatever you unwrap you get to keep. So if you're good at this thing one person may get some candy while you end up with something better!

me and the mustache family played that game. at the end of the day they unwrapped my box and had to eat it! It was a great arbor day.
(translation- I played that game with Cliff and our friends last year for arbor day and had a ball)

Another variation of that game is making a huge circle with a chocolate block in the middle. Once again, roll doubles, except this time you have to put on a heap of accessories (e.g. feather scarf, afro wig etc) and you get handed a knife and fork. You then try and cut the chocolate block with the knife and fork. If you succeed, you get the piece you cut off. Good fun, played it in a school camp once.
