*I HAVE PERMISSION FROM ESTRELLA LUIZ TO USE HER IN THIS RP IN ANY WAY*
---------------------------------------------
Dark Grey clouds shelter the morning sky as thick and heavy rainfall attacks the Lookout Point Lake Side Inn of Hot Springs, Arkansas. A beautiful crooked line of glow blinks itself through the folds of the menacing clouds, declaring itself a lightning, and it is followed by the sound of a thunder clap.
Noble Savage is in front of the entrance to the inn, completely disregarding the downpour. With a smirk on her face, she reaches into one of the many zippered pockets of her leather bomber biker jacket and pulls out a key card. She enters through the revolving doors as the bottom of her acid wash jeans, darkened by the splash of puddles, drip over the welcoming rug.
Once in the lobby, Noble Savage is greeted by a young African American lady at the front desk.
RECEPTIONIST:
"Welcome to the Lakeside Inn at Lookout Point, today we--"
SAVAGE:
"Save it. I know where I am."
Noble Savage looks around the lobby and it's high ceilings while wringing out the water from her damp hair, which right now is not as frill as it usually is, but rather dead and dripping. The front desk gril sees the wet mess taking place and simply clears her throat in a loud manner to get Noble Savage's attention. Noble Savage glares at her and simply proceeds to ignorantly stomp her platform boots while making heavy eye contact, letting mud and leaves hit the wet circle she has created.
SAVAGE:
"Is there a reason you're still staring?"
RECEPTIONIST:
"No, I... Not at all. Just hadn't seen you check in. Do you have a room here already, or..."
NOBLE:
"Yes. It's right here."
Noble Savage raises the key card and shows it to her. The front desk girl quickly leans half her body over the counter and reaches out, grabbing the key card from Noble Savage's hand. Noble Savage squint her eyes at her while she inspects the card.
RECEPTIONIST:
"Hmm... This is odd. We don't use these any more. No, our new key cards have the magnetic strip and the chip as well. This one only has the strip and the bar code."
NOBLE:
"Useless information. Just give me the card back so I can get in my room."
The front desk girl nonchalantly picks up the phone and dials a four digit number without hesitation.
RECEPTIONIST:
"Sure, just a sec. I just gotta check someth-- Yeah hello? Alana, it's me Sheila... Can you just check on a card for me? Yeah it's 7642 and it says room 219... Uh huh... Estrella Luiz? Hang on... Excuse me ma'am, do you have ID?"
NOBLE:
"No."
SHEILA:
"Okay... Yeah she doesn't have ID. But I don't thi-- well, I mean she-- ok... Yeah no problem. Bye."
Sheila hands the key card back to Noble Savage, who snatches it with a condescending scoff. Sheila smiles at her.
SHEILA:
"Sorry for the confusion. It's just that if you try to use a card that's out of date, the door won't open and it might automatically alert security that there's an intruder."
SAVAGE:
"That's peachy... Just try to remember the part where I didn't ask you."
Noble Savage walks away on that note and takes the stairs leading up. An older Latino woman with a maid outfit is walking down at the same time and they nearly bump into one another.
MAID:
"Ay! Dios mio, you scared me."
Noble Savage looks at the heavy set lady up and down and sees that the name tag on her reads Elena - Housekeeping.
NOBLE:
"What 'escared' you, Elena? What are you trying to imply about me? Huh?"
ELENA:
"Ay no, señorita. Please. I no mean bad things, I just no see you there."
NOBLE:
"No problemo. Just make sure you watch where you're going... Or who you stop and talk to... You don't want your last living conversation to be with a total stranger, do you?"
Elena cowers slightly as Noble Savage smiles at her with evil eyes. With Elena's back against the railing of the stairs, Noble Savage fakes a thrust of her face forward, making a biting motion. Elena rapidly runs down the steps, dodging her. Noble Savage laughs and shakes her head, then keeps walking up.
Noble Savage sets foot on the second floor. And begins walking down the hallway.
SAVAGE:
"That was impressive, Noble. Never seen you make someone jump like that."
NOBLE:
"Mexicans... They are very superstitious. Estrella Luiz is Mexican, they're all fun to mess with. But since now you got everyone's attention, the assistant General managers Sheila, and Alana. I figured why not spook Elena a bit? I mean they are all gonna report suspicious behavior anyhow."
SAVAGE:
"What makes you think Elena is Mexican?"
NOBLE:
"She was nice. I almost bumpes into her, and I scared the heart out her chest, yet she apologized to me... Almost instantly. Something only someone like Estrella Luiz would do; apologize to someone for being scared of them. I haven't met that many Mexican people in my life but that's the only thing that has been constant. Their annoyingly positive attitude and sickening politeness."
SAVAGE:
"I've actually been salivating at the thought of ripping that little girl apart in the ring. Her 'turn the other cheek' attitude is really the kind of stuff bad dreams are made of. I can't imagine anyone waking up that implausible smile of hers in the middle of the night and not have the same reaction as Consuela did just back there after seeing me."
NOBLE:
"Her name is Elena."
SAVAGE:
"Her name doesn't matter. What matters is that the little draft dodging girl who refused to go to War has now been granted a one on one meeting with the record setting winner of that War. That two-faced hypocrite will live to regret this for the rest of her life."
NOBLE:
"The term two-faced hypocrite sounds like an oxymoron. She's a kind person. But more importantly, I shouldn't be one to talk about people being two-faced. I happen to think Estrella Luiz is a good person."
SAVAGE:
"It is the fact that she's a good person that I find most sickening."
NOBLE:
"She has a good heart. Buen corazón..."
SAVAGE:
"I'd love to sink my claws into her chest cavity and dig out her corazón to feast on it while making her watch... I bet her insides taste like Nachos..."
NOBLE:
"No, Savage. She's actually really sweet."
SAVAGE:
"What's that supposed to mean to me?"
NOBLE:
"That her insides might taste more like Churros."
Noble Savage let's out a low chuckle that turns into cackling laugh. She sighs as she seems to have a arrived at the room she is looking for. She swipes the card by the keypad that says 219. After four seconds of blinking the word PROCESSING, the keypad now reads CHIP REQUIRED PLEASE INSERT. Noble Savage simply swipes the card again, and once again it says PROCESSING. Before it can finish processing, the door suddenly unlocks and opens slowly.
NOBLE:
"For a second there I thought--"
Noble Savage stops talking when she is greeted by a housekeeping lady holding the door from inside the room.
HOUSEKEEPER:
"Hola. You must be la senorita Estrella. I'm Carolina. We were just cleaning the room for you, we did not think you come back so soon."
NOBLE:
"Ummm... Si...?"
Carolina turns her head to face the inside of the room and speaks with a raised voice.
CAROLINA:
"Antonia, Maria, Rocio...! La señorita Estrella regresó."
As the door opens more, it is visible that this room is much more larger than any other. The three other housekeepers come toward the door but one of them has a confused look on her face.
MARIA:
"Carolina, quien es esta mujer? No se parece en nada a la que yo vi esta mañana."
CAROLINA:
"Es ella, no? Tiene llaves."
ROCIO:
"No, Carolina. María tiene razón. Yo vi a Estrella Luiz salir para el gimnasio también, y esta no es ella."
SAVAGE:
"Hey! Are we gonna stand here speaking in tongue, or are you chicas gonna hurry up and am-scray from my room?"
ANTONIA:
"Claro. Disculpe usted, señorita. We leave now."
Rocio, Carolina, and Antonia leave the room at a normal pace but Maria slows her pace, staring defiantly at Noble Savage in the eyes.
MARIA:
"Dos preguntas, señorita Luiz; Si usted de verdad es usted y no una usurpadora, pues dígame que le traje yo para desayunar esta mañana? Y cuantos dolares me otorgó usted de propina?"
Noble Savage sneers to stare up and down Maria's walk.
SAVAGE:
"Woman, I have no idea what you just said but you need to watch who you're rolling those R's at. It would be a shame if I found out you were insulting me, because then I'd be forced to sneak into your bedroom while you sleep and pull your tongue right out of your esophageal frenulum."
Maria's eyes widen with a gulp of her throat. Noble Savage steps in closer to her face and eyes her down. Maria then looks away and walks off while religiously crossing herself. Noble Savage chuckles and walks into Estrella Luiz's room, then slams the door shut. Down the hallway, you can hear the housekeepers talking to each other.
MARIA:
"Believe me, chicas. Tha's no Estrella Luiz. She's look nothing like that. I donno wha happen bot tha's no her."
Back inside the huge hotel room, lavishly decorated with pink bed sheets and comforters, we see Noble Savage sitting in front of a vanity mirror. She looks at the make up kit and jewelry case on the counter and raises an eye brow.
NOBLE:
"Eye shadow... Foundation... Lip gloss... None of this is necessary! What is it with the decorations? Estrella Luiz seems to pride herself on being honorable and sincere, yet she has enough cosmetics here to eradicate a small village."
Noble Savage's eye twitches and her neck jerks a little, then her reflection in the mirror grins fiendishly.
SAVAGE:
"Welcome to 2018... The age of hypocrisy. People like Estrella Luiz use only images behind which they hide their true motives. I learned this already, remember? Destroy the image, and you will break the enemy? Any of this ring a bell? Even Teo Del Sol uses a Mexican Luchador mask to hide from his true nature of failure... Estrella Luiz is no different. She might not wear a Lucha mask, but she does wear a ton of foundation. It takes just about as much chemicals to make the appearance of a mask as it does her innocent face... Surely, a Cleric of Balance can see this sweet girl thing as a facade far worse than the Karma Bishop act. At least Karma talks to her inner demon... Estrella Luiz pretends hers doesn't exist."
Noble Savage runs her hand down her face with a deep breath. She then stands up and walks over to the wardrobe and opens it. Inside are an abundance of similarly designed outfits, all bedazzled in different patterns, but the same glowing pink color scheme. Noble Savage scoffs.
NOBLE:
"I don't know what I expected to find here today. Estrella is such a clean girl. There are no skeletons in her closet. No hidden agenda, no alterior motives, no dirt on her whatsoever... I'm starting to think that I'm wrong for thinking she has something to hide. Maybe she really is just that stupid. Maybe she is nice because she doesn't know what else to be... Maybe she--
SAVAGE:
"Maybe she hasn't eaten a Tomb Seeker yet to rattle her brain."
Noble Savage sees a sealed envelope on top of the drawer next to the bed. It is unmarked. She grabs the envelope tears off the edge, then pulls out the folded piece of lined paper inside. Noble Savage unfolds it to see that it is a handwritten letter, but it is in Spanish. She doesn't know what it's says, but tries to read it anyway.
SAVAGE:
"Dear Papa... Something something bueno... Something something dolor... Something something futuro... Ugh! None of this makes sense! It's just an unsent letter to her father, I'm just gonna set the room on fire and be done with it."
NOBLE:
"It says Dear Dad, my trip to the states has not been very easy but I feel good. I still believe in my heart that this was a good choice and it is worth the pain. I am confident that I will make you and mother proud in the future..."
SAVAGE:
"Wait... Since when can I read Spanish?"
NOBLE:
"You can't. I went to High School in Puerto Rico. That was during the years you were dormant. Might not give any info on Mexican culture but at least it's Spanish. I guess I know something you don't."
SAVAGE:
"Touché."
NOBLE:
"That's French."
SAVAGE:
"Don't care. Maybe there are more letters..."
Noble Savage pulls the drawer and sees that it is empty with just a fee bobby pins laying. She shoves it back in and opens the bottom one. It is empty as well, with just a couple of pennies and lint at the bottom. Noble Savage gets down on her knees and brings her head down to he floor, looking under the bed.
NOBLE:
"Jackpot!"
Noble Savage reaches under the bed and pulls out a rolling traveler's suit case. It is white with black trim, but the largest design detail of it is what brings a grin to Noble Savage's face; it has a skull embossed on the front of it spanning the size of the luggage itself.
SAVAGE:
"That's Lady Death, the great traveler!"
NOBLE:
"Or it's just a skull printed on luggage."
Noble Savage finds the zipper but there is a lock on it. The lock itself has a very old floral design to it. Noble Savage brings the luggage onto the top of the bed. She pulls the dresser drawer once more and takes out two bobby pins. Using the bobby pins, Noble Savage is able to pick the lock and open the suit case.
Through all the underwear and feminine hygiene products, Noble Savage begins to burrow and toss things out on to the bed. A few deodorants and stockings later, she finally comes a cross four loose pictures.
The first is just a child with two old women and two old men. The back of the picture says 'Mis Abuelos' add Noble Savage tosses it to the side. The second photo she sees, is of a nice looking young couple, but the picture seems old. The gentleman hugging the woman with a warm smile and the woman is pregnant as happy as can be. The back of the picture says 'Mamá y Papá antes de yo nacer' and Noble Savage tosses it aside as well.
The next photo Noble Savage sees is an interesting one. It is an in-ring photo of Estrella Luiz applying a submission move on to a masked Luchador. The intense look on Estrella Luiz's face in the photo is intriguing to Noble Savage. The angled brow of anger and messy hair, the curled lips of forceful grit, and the sweat that drips through Estrella Luiz's face in the picture are mesmerizing to Noble Savage. The back of the picture says 'My first purpurina.'
SAVAGE:
"There you are Estrella. The real you... You love to hide behind the sweet exterior of Mexican Sweetheart, but you do have a mean streak, don't you? You go out there and you put up a front as if you can do no harm, you wouldn't hurt a fly, yet you chose to take part in the art of pugilism. I knew there was more to you than just a pretty face and good intentions. That air-filled head of yours is home to untapped rage. I can see it in your eyes... The fire of a shooting star, so oppressed by the pressures of your own idea of what you should grow up to be. The unjust desire to honor your mom and dad, clashing with with the desire to explode..."
NOBLE:
"What does the back of the picture say?... 'mi primera purpurina' hmm... Her first God Caller..."
SAVAGE:
"No. That is NOT a God Caller. That's some sort of imitation of it. Besides, Primera means spring, doesn't it? How does that translate to God Caller?"
NOBLE:
"No, primavera means spring. Primera means first... And yes, Purpurina seems to be her version of a God Caller submission... Estrella actually has it locked in good form. She looks determined and aggressive. But there's nothing about this photograph that says she is ruthless or destructive... There's something almost heroic about her fury... She most certainly does not look like a Savage..."
SAVAGE:
"Savage she will never be, of course. I would be insulted to be compared to such a spritely little girl. She just comes across so calm... But still, acts like she has a dream... Her eyes are so full of passion."
NOBLE:
"That passion is nothing but a glimmer of hope. That will all break once she's locked in the tight grip of a real God Caller... When she realizes that her desperate cries for 'Diosito Lindo' are blatantly ignored"
SAVAGE:
"Ay Dios Mio!"
NOBLE:
"Wow, that actually sounded bone chillingly like Estrella's voice. I guess there a talent you have that I don't, Savage. Your voice manipulation. We're even."
SAVAGE:
"Yeah, I can do voices... How do you think I do yours?"
NOBLE:
"Then what's your real voice?"
SAVAGE:
"Demonic... What's that fourth picture of? It's flipped over. It says Día de Los Muertos. What does that mean?"
NOBLE:
"Day of the Dead... But..."
Noble Savage picks up the picture and turns it over. She let's put a smile with a scoff that almost shows relief. She turns around and sits next to the luggage on the bed, admiring the photo she is seeing. It is Estrella Luiz in an apparent costume party celebration, but to Noble Savage it seems to mean more.
SAVAGE:
"So, either Estrella Luiz has an obsession for skulls or she understands the art of death. Whichever of those two assumptions is true, makes her just as intriguing. We're talking about a confused little girl here. I should know one when I see one. Except this one grew up in a loving home with overprotective parents."
NOBLE:
"She lives to honor and bring pride to their parents with dignity and respect, yet she ends up telling her father to mind his own business and leaves him. She traveled up here to the states to do exactly the opposite of what his wishes are for her to do. She swears she will bring honor by shaming them. Disrespecting her parents by taking part in such a brutal sport... I wouldn't be surprised if the sudden family emergency that came up to make her miss War was just one of her parent pretending to be sick to make her take the flight and keep her out of harms way."
SAVAGE:
"But papa can't save her can he? Papa is going to have to tune in to Monday Night SLAM and see his preciosa little girl get victimized by yours truly... La Slavaje... I might not know much Spanish, but I sure know what the Mexicans call me... And I also know that they call on Saint Mary almost as much as they call on agod... So when I teach her what a real purpurina is supposed to feel like by trapping her in the God Caller, she will do more than scream for Diosito, she will be crying Santa Maria to the point of gargling blood."
Noble Savage chuckles lightly then throws herself back on the bed while looking at the photograph with a smile.
NOBLE:
"This opens up an entire new world of possibilities... Estrella Luiz, the most unlikely of all unlikelies... Actually has an evil side to her... Granted, this phot being for a Día De Los Muertos celebration, but people don't actually play with the skulls of their dead relatives during this Mexican holiday. They respect them and they remember them to keep their spirit alive. This girl is blatantly disrespecting the dead by mocking them... And if that weren't enough, people do not show respect for the dead by carrying around skull branded luggage, they save it for the day of the dead. This is all just amazing... It makes me want to talk to her... We might have a lot more in common than anyone can imagine!"
SAVAGE:
"No!"
Noble Savage sits up on the bed with an annoyed look on her face. She lets out a grunt and stands up, then walks over to the already opened wardrobe. She sees the same glittery clothes as before, but this time sneers at them as she picks at them with disgust.
SAVAGE:
"Maybe after our match at SLAM... When she wakes up in the emergency room to find that those scars in the picture are now permanent stitches left on her after the emergency surgery she'll require... Maybe once I am done rearranging her face and beating her beyond recognition and they have to perform reconstructive surgery so that papa can identify her... Maybe after her brain is reseated into place by trained professionals... Maybe you can sit and talk to her... And maybe, just maybe, I will keep out of it so that you can see what a weak, pathetic, and scared little girl she really is... That picture isn't for the day of the dead holiday... What if she purposely planted that here to mock me? After all, the rest of WCF already knows I'm a-- Oh no, she's here..."
At that point, Noble Savage hears the beeping click of the keycard opening the door. As the door slowly opens, she can see the manicured fingers of Estrella Luiz coming around it...
