Legendary WCF interview Hank Brown has seen some shit. He's seen a lot of shit in fact. So much that it's rumoured upon his retirement he's going to make a fortune writing a tell all book about all his experiences in the WCF. Maybe that's what Hank Brown is thinking about while he's waiting for his interview today. If so his concentration is likely shattered as a black van pulls up beside him. Alex Richards and his brother/cameraman Shaun Zach Richards get out of the vehicle.
Alex Richards: Since the WCF assigned me an interviewer it looks like you got the day off. Getting hammered on Zim-Quila and then driving your head through a store window?
S|ZR: Not a chance! More likely reading the paper and relaxing with an iced tea.
Alex Richards: That sounds boring my idea was much better.
SZR: Your idea involves a trip to the hospital and stitches and unlike some people I'm not really into collecting new scars.
Alex Richards: Agree to disagree. Enjoy your afternoon Zach!
Shaun laughs and tosses his brother the keys to the van.. who promptly tosses them to Hank Brown.
Alex Richards: Get in.. you're driving.
Hank Brown: I would have thought since you insisted on taking your vehicle you would have wanted to drive.
Alex Richards: No way dude... I can't drive.. I'm drunk.
Hank Brown: You don't appear to be drunk.
Alex chuckles.
Alex Richards: When you're an alcoholic you're always drunk.
Hank Brown: I knew that.. I would have thought you'd insist on drinking anyways. Most problem wrestlers do.
Alex Richards: Problem wrestlers?
Hank Brown: That's why I make the money I do in the WCF. I handle all the difficult talent. People like Bonnie Blue on drugs, Oblivion, Apocalypse, Seifer Black Armstrong, any number of unstable newcomers who want to beat me and everyone else in their general area for the three weeks they last.
Alex Richards: So.. you think I'm one of the bad guys then?
Hank Brown: I'm not judging at all. But after what you did in the ring last week management has decided you are.
Alex Richards: Well hop in the van Hank and we'll talk about it.
Hank does getting behind the drivers seat as Alex walks to the other side, making sure to get a fresh Zim-Quila boot from his doctor's bag while they are ready to depart.
Hank Brown: Where are we going?
Alex Richards: Just follow the GPS.. we'll be there soon.
Hank Brown: See.. stuff like that worries me. The fact you're not telling me where we're going.
Alex Richards: You worry too much Hank. But I'll ease your mind.. we're going to a farm.. The Brotherhood farm.
Hank Brown: That doesn't really ease my mind much Alex because I get the feeling we won't be welcome there.
Alex Richards: Of course we will Hank. We brought party favours.
Alex reaches into the back of the van and pulls out.. a can of gas and a blowtorch.
Alex Richards: Lots of fun.
Hank mutters to himself.
Hank Brown: It's like I'm interviewing Oblivion again.
Alex either doesn't hear what Hank had to say or he ignores it. Either way he continues.
Alex Richards: So.. the WCF thinks I'm dangerous now...
Hank Brown: You are travelling with a blowtorch and gasoline.
Alex nods.
Alex Richards: Good. Let em think that. See.. I'm the same guy I've always been. Just my circumstances have changed. I'm not the bad guy.. I'm a Guardian. We're always the good guys.
Hank Brown: It doesn't really seem that way to me Alex.
Alex Richards: See, here's the thing Hank. When Bonnie Blue retired that leaves one Guardian in the WCF. That means the Guardians are dead, right?
He doesn't even give Hank a chance to respond.
Alex Richards: No! The Guardians are not dead. The Guardians are too important to let die! I was the fourth member to join the Guardians. After Polar Phantasm, Jay Omega, and Bonnie Blue. Polar was the original leader of the Guardians, then when he departed Bonnie Blue took over. I'm the last of the original Guardians left. So I had a choice. I could just be the easy going Alex Richards I always was. I could pretend that I didn't really care. I could have picked another tag team partner and cashed in that title shot Bonnie and I earned. People would have thought that would make me the good guy, right? But no.. that would have been really being the bad guy. Because letting something important to you die just because it's easier.. that's the kind of stuff bad people really do.
Hank Brown: You could have just recruited new Guardians.
Alex Richards: Who Hank? Who would have joined me? That's the problem. That's why I was so angry that no one seemed to respect me. That everyone just considered me Bonnie's lackey. So I had a choice. I could continue being the nice guy.. or I could take that respect. There was no real choice. I was not going to let the Guardians die. So I did what was necessary to help us rebuild. I never thought of myself as a leader. But that's okay. Back in the day I never thought it was going to be world champion either. Then I captured that UCI world title.. defeating the highly regarded even here Howard Black. You'll find Hank I can do pretty much anything I put my mind to. I'm going to make sure the Guardians rise again. And to do that that means people like Odin Balfore.. they need to fall. And I'm okay with that.
Hank has to know they aren't really going to the Brotherhood farmhouse. For one they certainly aren't in Pennsylvania. But Hank hasn't survived for so long in the WCF by questioning every little thing. He has learned to go with the flow and see what happens. But when the GPS tells him to take a left and then that they have arrived at their designation. Hank looks at the sign in front questioningly.
Hank Brown: Leo's Llamas?
Alex meanwhile talks to Hank while continuing walking past the gates and right outside of a pen filled with llamas.
Alex Richards: You thought we were going to the Brotherhood Farmhouse, right?
Hank lies and says yes.
Alex Richards: So it's a disappointment, right?
Hank Brown: Yes.
Alex Richards: That's why we're going here. Because it's a disappointment.. it's a let down. Now you know how everyone looking forward to the Cult Following show felt. But the Archduke of Mass Confusion he knows how to make lemons out of lemonade! This week on Slam I'm going to punish Karma Bishop for her sins. And I'm also gonna make the best of this situation. Get the blowtorch Hank... we are going to BBQ some Llamas!
The Llamas in the pen seem unconcerned continuing to fight among themselves as Llamas are want to do. Hank on the other hand..
Hank Brown: We are seriously going to roast Llamas alive?
Alex Richards: I'm just fucking with you Hank. Everyone knows they are better deep fried! I didn't bring any oil so that's a no go luckily for you. Even though Llama is delicious.
Hank Brown: We can stop at a restaurant on the way back.
Hank clearly trying to defuse the situation. Alex winks though.
Alex Richards: But like I was saying coming to a Llama farm instead of the Brotherhood farm is disappointing. Like Cult Following was disappointing. But can you really be surprised? The Brotherhood has always been disappointing. Is it really a surprise the tribute show to them was as well? I competed on the Brotherhood show and I'll admit it.. Spencer Adams beat me. But at least I brought it. The Brotherhood didn't bring it. Most of them didn't even bother to do the promotional work for their own show. And their efforts in the ring showed it. They were simply going through the motions. They were overshadowed on their own show by the outside talent. No one who watched that show thought the Brotherhood were the stars of the show. Because they weren't. They wrestled without heart. So.. what happened to the Brotherhood?
Hank Brown: To be fair the group hasn't been together in awhile.
Alex Richards: That's a cop out Hank. They used to have heart and now they do not. Someone killed their heart. My opponent this week Karma Bishop she killed the heart of the Brotherhood. When she betrayed them and sided with Jason Slasher she drove a dagger through the heart of the Brotherhood. When Lester Parish died the Brotherhood died in everything except for name only. Karma killed the Brotherhood and she didn't even have the lady balls to do her own dirty work. She got Jason to do it for her. Because she knew that someday she might need to use Kevin Bishop again so she would have that weak defence. You know what I see what I see Karma Bishop?
Hank Brown: No.. I don't.
Alex Richards: I see a less accomplished Lilith. Because even Lilith won a few titles to call her own. Karma can't even say she did that. But like Lilith she causes as much drama as she can then runs away and leaves others to deal with the consequences. She killed Lester Pariah but she let Jason Slasher pay the ultimate price for it. But that's always been par for the course for Karma. Kevin Bishop I never liked but at least I could respect him as a competitor. Karma doesn't even earn that courtesy because to be honest she's not a competitor. She's a coward who allows others to take her beatings for her. Which is why I'm looking forward to facing her so much this week. So she can finally get a small taste of what she has coming to her.
Alex Richards: Make no mistake about it.. Karma is no match for me.. and even she knows it. She admitted as much a few weeks ago when she stated on television the reason she left the Dark Carnival was because Jesis wanted to go to war with the Guardians and she knew they would be unable to defeat us. Makes me sick.
Hank Brown: You don't agree the Dark Carnival were no match for the Guardians?
Alex Richards: I agree with that totally. Which is why during our brief battles with the Carnival we dominated. The difference is, Kylie, Lilianna, and Jesis never backed down from the challenge. Even though I disliked pretty much everything else about them I did respect that. Karma joined the group because she needed some more meat shields once again. That's kind of her thing. She always surrounds herself with other people. But make no mistake. She isn't a member of the team. She never truly belongs. She merely uses them so she doesn't have to fight her own battles. Why doesn't she fight her own battles?
Hank Brown: I don't know Alex.
Alex Richards: Because she can't! She has never been able to fight on her own! She has one skill.. the ability to manipulate people into accepting her. Until she betrays them! Time and time again she's done this. I'm the last Guardians left in the WCF and I'm proud to represent them! Karma didn't represent the Brotherhood, she didn't represent the Dark Carnival.. she doesn't even do a good job at representing herself!
As if on cue one of the llamas spits at it's brother or sister, who can tell with llamas? The spit upon Llama backs off.
Alex Richards: That's Karma in a nutshell. If you force her into any kind of confrontation she shows what an absolute coward she is. You saw the effort she put forth against my tag team partner Bonnie Blue during their two matches, no? I watched those two matches and I was filled with contempt. Karma wrestled those matches like she was merely trying not to get hurt. Like she was biding her time until it would be acceptable for her to fall. Karma fought like someone trying not to lose face, not someone trying to win. In short she fought actually the way you would expect someone like Karma Bishop to fight. She dropped her stablemates to avoid fighting us. Even when she competed against Bonnie she fought like someone who didn't want to be there. She was lucky though. The match wasn't personal for Bonnie. Bonnie won the match and moved on. I'm not going to do that. I'm not just content with winning this match. I need to send a message. I need to teach Karma a lesson on what happened to users like her.
Hank Brown: You seem to have some hostility towards Karma.
Alex reaches over the fence and pets one of the llamas on it's shaggy fur before answering a slightly sinister smile on his face.
Alex Richards: I've never faced Karma before and I hated the Brotherhood from our battles in the UCI. I hated the Dark Carnival too. But yet I still hate Karma Bishop more. You know why?
Hank ventures a guess.
Hank Brown: Because you didn't like Lilith?
Alex Richards: Nobody likes Lilith! But no.. I hate Karma because she is the exact opposite of everything I stand for! People may not agree with some of my actions lately but at least my actions make sense! I'm loyal to the Guardians and I'm loyal to my friends. I swore revenge on Odin Balfore because he forced my best friend into retirement. Whether you agree with that or not at least I'm standing for something. Karma Bishop on the other hand is wrestling's version of a cockroach. Everything around her dies and she's still standing. But in the end she's still nothing but a fucking worthless cockroach. I work hard in order to be seen as my own man.. Karma wants everyone else to do everything for her! Well there is no one left in the WCF to save you now Karma. you've alienated everyone. You've shown your true colors to all of them. Which means you have a problem. A rather large 300 pound plus problem. Your problem is a man who beat Odin Balfore, is a man who's undefeated since his return to the WCF. This is particularly a problem for you because you haven't ever beaten anyone better then |Adam Young. Karma never wanted a piece of Alex Richards because she always knew what the end result was going to be. She worked hard to make sure every other member of the Dark Carnival got in the ring with me while she was able to avoid it. Don't think I didn't notice that. Don't think that is going to go unpunished. She's the girl who literally ran away from the Guardians. I'm the guy who metaphorically slapped Odin Balfore in the face. How do you think this is going to end? There is only one possible solution. I'm going to hurt you Karma and I'm going to enjoy it.
Hank Brown: See comments like that are why people wonder about you Alex.
Alex Richards: Why? Because I'm speaking the truth? Well sometimes the truth needs to be heard regardless of how painful it is to hear it! The real sad thing about Karma isn't her wrestling talent.. although granted that is pretty damn sad.. it's the fact that she is actually responsible for raising a child! This is why I fucking hate Karma. I know first hand how much bad parents can screw up a child! It took all of my will to become the man I am today. I could have been lost forever because of what my parents did. Now Karma Bishop has a child with a serial killer she created! Karma is going to want to lose this match quickly because I intend on making her motherhood a non issue. I intend on beating Karma to the point where she will no longer remember she has a child let alone that she will be able to screw that child up. Because I know she's going to screw the child up. Because she uses everyone she was ever encountered so why would an innocent child be any different? Kevin Bishop is too blinded by love to see you for the serpent you truly are Karma but I do. He won't save Darren from you.. but I can. Because good, evil, whatever we are perceived as the Guardians have always been the defenders of the innocent and the punishers of the wicked. Karma.. I've been waiting for this moment. This is the first chance I get to make my impression as the new leader of the Guardians. I am not going to let it go to waste I promise you that. Now Hank.. shall we make our exit?
Hank Brown: But what about the Llamas, the blowtorch, and the gas?
Alex grins.
Alex Richards: They just happened to be in the van Hank. You're the one who drew that conclusion. You think I'm the evil one but yet you thought the worst of me when I simply came here to clear my head and enjoy these fine animals. You did mention Oblivion and fire though. I remember going to a fair with Pantheon and Oblivion, Night Rider and Denise D'Evil. Oblivion started a fire. You know how that fight ended?
Hank Brown: I don't really recall.
Alex Richards: I'll never forget. You see the scheduled eight man tag team match against the Beach Krew ended in a draw then led to a lumberjack match where Wade Moor took the world championship from my friend Jay Omega. You know what the lesson is Hank? You do evil things karma, actual karma, is going to catch up with you. But when you're on the right side of karma, things just tend to fall into place the way they are supposed to.
Alex Richards: Karma.. you're a shitty mother.. you're a shitty person but seemingly no one cares. They were just all waiting to see whether you or Kevin Bishop kill each other first during your next lover's spat. Well unfortunately for you Karma.. I care. I see you.. I see everything you are. I know you're the type of person who makes me wonder if Darren is even your real child.. because you're the type of person who would steal a baby from a hospital just to accomplish your own sick goals. I know there is only one way to deal with a diseased cockroach such as yourself. It's to crush it under your heel. Then make sure it's dead. Karma Bishop.. your evil deeds are finally going to catch up with you. The last Guardian standing is finally going to strike that death blow against the mother of the sickness that destroyed the Brotherhood. Goodnight.. your karma has finally come due. You quit The Dark Carnival to avoid facing the Guardians once Karma. After this week you’ll quit wrestling to avoid ever having to face Alex Richards again..
Alex grins.
Alex Richards: If retiring is even an option for you afterwards. And know this Karma.. you screw up that child and I will come find you again Karma. When I do I’ll make what I do to you this week seem like a mere tickle. I know people like you. I've dealt with people like you my whole life. You have no pity, you have no feeling for anyone except for yourselves. There is only one way to get through to you.. that's to hurt you. If I can save your kid by hurting you you damn sure can believe I will.
Hank looks a little surprised.
Hank Brown: Have you ever even met the kid?
Alex Richards: No.. it doesn't matter though.
Hank Brown: You actually do care though. You really are concerned. You.. aren't really like most of the people I interview.
Alex Richards: I'm not like anyone else Hank. I never have been. I never will. That's my strength Hank. Good, bad, whatever you call me I have my own value system. Karma flies in the face of it. So she's going to face my wrath because what she's done. More importantly what she will do in the future. I don't need time travel to know what she needs to be stopped. I also know that there is no one more suited then me to do it.
Fade To Black
