Has anybody seen this movie yet? My wife and I saw a late show last night, and while she enjoyed it as being mindless entertainment it was just a little too far fetched for me.
But I'm a movie snob, and theres only a few things that really appeal to me.

I wasnt a fan. It was OK but it was hyped up and it just let everyone down. obvious jump scares, not much in the way of horror or suspense. I'm looking forward to H40 lol

Could have been WAY better. I pointed at the spookums just before it happened 8/10 times.

I honestly found nothing scary about it. The story itself was interesting but it felt rushed and cut short, like they could have delved deeper into it to compensate for the lack of horror in a horror movie. But sadly they didn't. It was about as scary as Annabelle, which instead of scaring me just put me to sleep.
Edit: it wouldn't be fair if I didn't also clarify, that in the last 22 years there hasn't been a "scary movie" that actually scared me. The genre needs a revamp. It's all the same lately.

Haven't seen The Nun yet but Noble Savage did you see Hereditary? I felt like it was outside the box for the modern horror genre

I don't think lol I am definitely gonna watch it tonight though. I like horror movies but I just got numb to them in the past couple years. Maybe hereditary is different

So I've seen Hereditary. I had to read what the movie was about to really understand it, and although it was different the part where the headless mom goes into the tree house at the end in the theater I was in the crowd started laughing at the poor effects. But that's one movie by itself could have been okay, but it wanted you to put the pieces together, and was advertised as something completely different.
I read an early review for H40, and it said the movie was relentless, and had a satisfying conclusion. It had a take no prisoners approach to the kills. I'm excited that Nick Castle is back under the mask. I'm looking forward to it, and now its really the only movie I'm saving my money for.
If you live in Toronto you can see it early. It premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. So I'm sure Canada loved it.

Don't listen to this guy, Hereditary is amazing. Story isn't hard to follow at all.

I'm not a big fan of action based movies. Like anything similar to transporter or that God awful Italian Job is just a big turn off for me. Even the fast and furious movies were stale and predictable. A few months ago I went to see this bank robbery movie with 50 cent and ice cubes son. And I felt like just leaving the theater half way through. Only stayed because I was with a group of friends who seemed to like it.
