Fade in to Mikami walking down a backstage hall in the same arena where last week's Slam took place. This segment must have been recorded sometime during or shortly after that show, as he is still wearing his wrestling gear, plus a plain white T-shirt.
Mikami: As big of a fan of the WCF as I was, it is a great honour to be in possession of one of these belts. I don't know about how it looks on me, though.
The camera pans down to show the belt wrapped around his waist as tight as it can possibly get, emphasising his below average frame in a company full of giants.
Mikami: I would feel much better about it if I had been allowed to punish Logan as I intended. But I cannot question. There is always a plan, and there will be other opportunities. For now, I must do what I said I would. I must prove my commitment to justice. I am surrounded by madness here in the WCF. Torture is...or was?...having wild mood swings, rookies are making pornography in place of interviews, and Logan...Logan is Logan.
Mikami stops in front of a door and turns to face the camera..
Mikami: I must be an example, a shining beacon of hope in this darkness. It may be cliché, but I am not a screenwriter or university student. Merely a wrestler, to be used as an instrument of justice. That is why Chris Avery is going to get a chance at this belt. A chance that he won, and deserves. I am sure I will be able to get booked against him. The price for that match, however...I feel like he is going to get "more than for what he bargained" as you Americans say. I am sure the same will end up being true for myself. But this is not a choice. I must do this. I must face the man responsible for all this madness, a man for whom I have expressed clear contempt, and make a deal with him. As I have said before, I am under no obligation to do what he says. He is my employer in name only...but the fact remains that he is in a position of authority. He deserves my respect. He deserves all of our respect.
Mikami knocks on the door a couple times before entering and closing it behind him. A sign on the door reads “GRAVEDIGGER”.
