- Hank Brown sits down with Chris Avery on a small set backstage of the arena that is now being set up for this weeks Monday Night Slam.
Hank Brown: Chris, thanks for coming today. Want to ask a few questions regarding your current stance with Gravedigger and how he's denying you your rightful shot at the United States Championship title. A shot you earned by beating numerous men inside a ring at XIII.
Chris Avery: My stance for this injustice is purely based on the color and race of my skin. Because of my skin I am no longer to be fighting for a Championship that represents this great country, and this great Federation. Because of his injustice and prejudice towards me, I now have to find other ways to get into a United States Title match with the Champion. I fought for the right for that Championship and won it fair and square. If Gravedigger isn't going to give me a shot, I'll take one.
Hank Brown: What is your thoughts on you not even being on the card tonight?
Chris Avery: Simple math, Hank. There's a few roster entries that aren't even on the card tonight, and I'm not fighting them? Typical Gravedigger. I see Sanzen isn't on the card as well, but does Gravedigger give me the equal shot at proving to everyone that I do have what it takes to fight the United States Champion against Sanzen? He doesn't give me shit. Gravedigger is just a waste of my time, and the sooner he's out of here, the better off Chris Avery will be!
Hank Brown: What have you done so far in your week off?
Chris Avery: I'm trying to set up a meeting with President Obama.
Hank Brown: And how is that working out?
Chris Avery: Apparently he's never heard of me, but that's beside the point, Hank! Gravedigger can't decide that I don't deserve shots at Champions because of the color of my skin, or the race I was born with. It's racist and wrong. Pure wrong. I've talked to Jesse Jackson, Oprah, and Colin Powell and all of them are at my side for resources to use against Gravedigger. If I have to march through every single match, I will. If I have to go over Gravediggers head and go to the board of directors, and investors, I will. If Chris Avery has to go national respected media outlets like FOX News, and CNBC, then I will! I'm sick and tired of it Hank, sick. And. Tired.
Hank Brown: Explain your thoughts on Torture. What is he up to and why did he just openly snap last week?
Chris Avery: Torture has been pretty weird. I haven't heard from him all week. He won't answer my calls, and he sure as hell wasn't at home when I checked. I hope he shows up for his World Title match on Slam against Ryan Daniels. Who knows what is going on through Tortures head now.
Hank Brown: Thanks for the interview.
Chris Avery: Yup.
