READING, PA - On January 1, 2018, the WCF held its annual One pay-per-view at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. However, aside from those inside the arena, the world has yet to see it.
The culminating event of 2017 has been already been hailed as an overwhelming success by top WCF officials, with a sell-out crowd in attendance and a buy rate of just over five million. In a first, though, the pay-per-view provider chose not to air the show live, citing the “high likelihood of extreme violence and adult themes ill-fit for children and impressionable teenage youth” that WCF has been known for for nearly two decades.
The over five million WCF fans who paid for One have not been silent about their outrage at having their money taken only for the airing of the show to have been “delayed indefinitely”, according to the pay-per-view provider on January 2, 2018. The provider has been flooded with calls, letters, and emails regarding the matter. And since January 3, an ever growing crowd has gathered in protest outside the provider’s New York, NY offices, which in turn has innocent employees in fear of their lives. One employee had this to say:
“I stepped outside and caught a Bates Boot to the face. I wouldn’t have known to call it that if it hadn’t been carved into the bottom of the guy’s boot. Now I’ll never forget. And Leslie the receptionist tried to flee through the garage but was almost trampled to death by a mob shouting “SIX GOD! SIX GOD!”. It wasn’t our choice to delay the air date. I’m a mailroom clerk, for Christ’s sake!”
The matter has become so out of hand that even the President of the United States, Donald Trump, commented on it via his infamous Twitter account on Friday.
"Pay per view loves Donald Trump. Hand me the rights to One Seth Lurch, I'll get it up. I always do! No problems in the sack. I'm a great lover, the Best at sex."
Trump later added:
“WCF is one of America’s Great Company’s. If I were running it, which I could do if I wanted to but I don’t want to (for now!) it would be even Greater. Sad!”
And later:
“Seth Lurch may have the wrestling world in the palm of his hand, but the Thing I’m holding with my free hand as I type this is Bigger and it Works! #TrumpsBigWorker”
WCF Owner Seth Lerch refused to comment on President Trump's typically bizarre tweets, but with regard to the pay-per-view provider and the airing of One, he had this to say:
“WCF is a worldwide institution and the fact that the biggest show of the year is being withheld from our fanbase by a bunch of pussies, for lack of a better term, is a travesty. I’m working on getting the show out to the masses as fast as possible, and I can say with confidence that the airing of One is imminent. Stay tuned.”
