Scene opens at Club Violet in Oakland, CA. Upstairs in his office, positioned deep within the VIP section, Steve Orbit sits at his desk. He's draped in gold. Mink coat, feathered cap, manicured fingernail tapping on the desk.
He sighs and rubs his eyes.
Steve Orbit: This shit used to be so easy.
He rips a page out of his notebook, crumbles it, and throws it over his shoulder, landing in an existing pile of paper balls.
He throws his hands up and kicks back, putting his feet on the desk.
