Torture: So this is it. The ol' final round of a once-was Tournament. The Tournament that promised the two final competitors a shot at Wrestling Championship Federation gold. Not just any gold, though. The World Championship belt. The promise was broken. One thing led to another, and all of a sudden, Gravedigger gets thrown into the mix. This is it. Corey Black. Gravedigger... and me.
- The screen that was black quickly lights up with Torture's face. We zoom out and notice he's laying on the end of his bed. His legs touching the floor below. Tight black slacks down to his brand new dress shoes. His shirt tucked in, pressed-white, his hair gelled in style. He sits up slowly. He grabs his dark blue, long sleeve dress shirt. In doing so, he knocks down a television remote that was sitting on the bed. The remote hits the ground and triggers the television to turn on. The plasma flat screen television shows an ESPNEWS airing of a Wrestling Championship Federation Analyst. The Analyst is already speaking about the Main Event at Rebirth for the WCF Championship.
Analyst: This is what I'm talking about. How many times can Torture and Corey Black escape the fog and stand up against the deck of cards. Everything is stacked against them, and somehow they manage to pull through. This time is different. My bet is on Gravedigger. Maybe Corey Black, but right now I can almost guarantee that Gravedigger wins in what could be a huge blow-out. Torture, face it. The only two-time Championship you'll ever hold on to is the Peoples Championship.. and let us be totally honest. You were given that title to you once. Enough said.
- Torture turns the Television off. He throws the remote that he picked up off the floor and tosses it to the bed. He walks over to the dresser and slips on his watch. A man from downstairs yells out. The one an only replies.
Torture: I'm coming down!
- Standing in front of the mirror, he checks himself once up and down. Making sure everything is perfect. He smiles and leaves the room. He heads down stairs where we pick up on a new camera.
- Downstairs in the living room there is five ESPN staff members. One producer meets Torture at the bottom of the stairs.
Producer: Okay, it's simple. You've done this before Tort. The interview is going to ask you a few questions, and you just answer looking into the stationary camera. You received the questions yesterday and thought of the answers correct?
Torture: Yes sir. I'm ready.
- The One and Only sits down in the chair in his own living room. The staff members turn on the production lights around the chair. The camera starts rolling, and an ear piece is inserted into Torture's ear. He can hear the interviewer start to set up the segment live on ESPN. After a few seconds, and a quick montage of Torture from the last five or so years, the interviewer begins.
Interview: Thanks for being a part of the show today, Torture. Real quick, want to ask you, how are you feeling about going into this match? You've been beaten down and out the last three or so weeks.
Torture: I feel okay. Ribs are a bit bruised, and my head has been knocked in a few times, but it's nothing I haven't felt before. I can walk, and run, and lift weights still, so everything must be okay. I feel I'm mentally and physically ready for this Pay Per View.
Interview: You've been in all kinds of matches, especially with Corey Black. Now you have Gravedigger in the mix. You have victories over both men, however, you've never pinned Corey Black? Any thoughts?
Torture: Yeah. I have a ton of thoughts. On one hand, I respect the hell out of Corey Black, but how can you go through your entire career on a path to the Hall of Fame when the road keeps ending with Corey Black's name being the one I haven't basically defeated. It irks my chain a bit, because we've been through so much hell together..
- He stops. He looks around.
What am I doing? I'm talking as if I like the guy. I don't like anyone. I don't even like ESPN. I think this whole thing is a god damn joke.. then why am I telling myself this? Tell them that? Tell them THAT!
- Torture looks down and smiles before looking back up at the camera.
Torture: You know what. No. I don't have any thoughts. Corey Black is good, but he's not the best. He can walk around with a duffel bag full of masks, he can cut his face off, he can stitch his face with a pizza from The Hut, either way, he doesn't bother me. I've beaten him in the Royal Rumble in XCW, I've beaten him in Tag Matches, I was the better teammate when we were on the same team. I mean, come on. You really ranking Corey Black in this match ahead of me? I'm Torture. How can you bet against the guy that doesn't lose! It pisses you off. It pisses him off. It pisses Skyler Striker off. It pissed of Jack of Blades. I don't care who it pisses off, the fact remains. I put the work in around here, and I get the rewards. I'm still the World Champion from when I held the belt last. According to me, the real factor, No one has officially had the World Championship since I've had it since I never lost it.
Keeping up? Good. I'm not done.
Gravedigger is nothing but a smoke and mirror show. He doesn't exist to me. The matches that I've been going through the last three weeks mean nothing to me. It's in my contract, you know? I'm a warrior. I'm a fighter. That's what I do. I go to the ring and bring punishment and justice to this god forsaken hell hole. You think it's great seeing these sex segments? What a poor taste in judgment. Most of this stuff is even coming from Logan.. a wrestler who has been locked into the Hall of Fame. Are you kidding me? They throw him into the Hall, yet leave blank walls because they can't throw my name on there? I'm sick of this shit. How long will it be until Wrestling Championship Federation grabs it's own head out of it's own ass. I'm not here to take control of WCF, I'm not here to own this Federation either. I have millions of dollars. I could just buy this place. My point is simple. I want to win the World Championship title, beat Corey Black, and fix this place. I will be the one with the most power, and with that power I will help build a better tomorrow for WCF. Even if it means I have to bring in friends to do it. As for this interview. It's finished.
- Tort stands up and rips the earpiece off. The camera goes black for a few seconds before going to the Interview who then turns the conversation into something else. Torture opens the front door and yells at them to leave the house. The staff members of ESPN quickly grab the camera and production lights and scatter out of the room. They throw their stuff into two trucks and leave the driveway. Torture sits down on the couch after slamming the front door.
- He picks up his cell phone. A few seconds pass by.
Torture: Yo. Change my flight. I'm not flying out there on Saturday, I'm flying out there now. I need to get out of this place. I'm leaving L.A. for the week. Yeah. That works. I'll get my bags.
- Tossing the cell phone to the table in front of him, he leans back and relaxes on the couch. The scene fades out.
