As I'm walking down the torch-lit corridor with grey brick walls, I forget my destination. What was I doing here? I hear not a sound but my own rhythmic footsteps and light breathing through the cold stale air. In spite of being indoors, this place seems foggy. Or perhaps that's just my mind playing tricks on me again. I pause for a moment as I am startled by my own shadow. Definitely just my mind playing tricks on me.
I continue to walk down the seemingly endless hallway passing torch upon torch. I have yet to see a single door or even loose brick. I fear I may be trapped in here forever. Suddenly I hear some sort of faint speech in the distance. I feel a bit of hope rise up inside of me and continue to walk down the monotonous hallway hoping to reach the voice that will help me escape this hell. After a few minutes I see a faint light at the end of the tunnel. The voice keeps getting progressively audible. I know I will soon be out of here.
I finally reach the end of the corridor. The light at the end of the tunnel must have been an illusion. I'm in some sort of dark chamber that seems to be filled with a fine mist. So the fog was real? Perhaps my mind wasn't playing tricks on me all along... I can hear the voice loud and clear now. I can finally make out what it's saying.
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere kitty kitty kitty kitty... Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere kitty kitty kitty...
This doesn't seem right. Am I being toyed with? Am I just in someone's game of cat and mouse? Fear swells up inside of me, and I can't seem to do anything but stand there.
A figure starts coming closer through the mist. As I finally begin to make out the image of the figure, it speaks to me.
I am truly glad you could grace us with your presence today!
Quit the fucking games man... who the hell are you?!
You ventured into a castle, and you didn't even have the common courtesy of researching it's owner? Why don't you have a seat over here...
One by one, ceiling lights activate to illuminate the entire room. The mist instantly disappears and I am left standing in an enormous room with two thrones facing each other. The man strangely dressed in royal attire slowly walks over to one of the thrones and gracefully sits down.
Don't be frightened now. I'm not going to hurt you. Come along and have a seat.
I hesitantly walk to the vacant throne and sit down. I can finally make out this man's strange attire. He's wearing a solid white tuxedo with a royal purple cape lined with white fur and a solid gold crown. He's also carrying a solid gold scepter.
Who the fuck are you? Why am I here? Did you lead me here? Where am I?
I am Prince Jimmy Dean. I have summoned thee to be my messenger. You are currently in the dungeon of my castle. I did not take you here by force, I merely persuaded you to venture your way through my castle. The powers of persuasion can be incredible, my friend.
Prince Jimmy Dean pulls a red hot cattle prod out from behind his chair. He asks me to hold out my palm, and I hesitate to do so. I don't want to go through such a painful experience as getting branded. He waves it around and assures me he won't prod me with it. As he's waving it around like a traffic controller waving a baton, he accidentally nicks my bicep, leaving a small burn.
I am truly sorry about that. I'm sure you'd be happy to relay my message, correct?
What message did you want me to relay, and to whom?
The message is for an acquaintance of yours that goes by the name of Thunder.
How do you even know I am in contact with him? This isn't making any sense.
Never mind that. Relay my message, or face the consequences.
I don't even know anyone named Thunder, but I know the consequences will be dire if I don't comply with his agenda.
Fine. I'll relay your message simply because it means I will be able to get out of this creepy castle.
Spectacular. I want you to tell this 'Thunder' that he does not stand a chance against the great Prince Jimmy Dean. He will not obstruct Prince Jimmy Dean's path to victory. Prince Jimmy Dean will do anything in his power to obtain the belt, even if it means doing things that aren't exactly considered moral. Got it?
Yes. Crystal clear. Can I go now?
You're free to go. If I find out that you don't relay my message, don't bother living to your aspirations because I will find you, and I will kill you.
I swallow the dry air in fear of losing my life. How am I going to find this Thunder guy?
Ok. Do you mind pointing me in the right direction out?
My ears start ringing as if a grenade went off right next to me. Prince Jimmy Dean disappears seconds before a bright white light fills the room. I can feel myself getting tired. My eye lids get too heavy to keep open. I close them and instantly doze off.
I wake up in my own bed feeling extremely groggy. I get out of bed in a stupor and think about the extremely vivid dream I had the previous night. I feel a slight pain on my bicep. I look down to see a small burn on it.
Impossible.
My mind goes numb from sheer disbelief seconds before I faint.
