The Right Time
Invidia: It’s time.
Invidia said to Gemini Battle as she braced him for the biggest moment of his life. It took all week but she convinced him to move ahead with the plan. A situation like this was so rare. To have all 7 chosen ones in one place at the same time was unheard of. The stars were aligning and the gates of hell were set to open at midnight.
Invidia stepped into the hall where 6 people known as the chosen ones stood at attention.
Ross was an overgrown man, given surgery to make him mobile, but he still decided not to be. Lydia wore a provocative army uniform, and at least two points were at attention. She remained close by Ross as they were found together fucking the shit out of each other on top of a stone slab. Caleb Ronan stood behind them, wearing thick black glasses, suspenders and was now sporting a long beard with a curly mustache, claiming it was for Movember. He looked like this…
What a douche.
Trinity was a Japanese man who insisted on wearing a tuxedo everywhere he went. And finally Taylor Wright stood there as well, the least confident of all of them, still unsure of what his part was in this event. He still hadn’t come to terms with his reality, and the fact was that Gemini wasn’t completely sold on the idea either.
Invidia was convinced that Taylor Wright was the embodiment of Wrath. She was so convinced that she was able to convince Gemini to move forward with “The Placement.” This event could be meaningless… lives could be lost and the whole thing could be shot. But it was worth a shot. As long as a few lived the chosen ones could wait until the time was right again, but the right time may never come along again in their lifetime. It was now or never. Now seemed more appropriate.
Gemini: Unlike how Dante escaped into hell, we have to fight our way in. Three beasts guard the portal to the otherworld. Once we’re there “The Placement” shall begin. And I assure you that I do not step into this lightly. I have accepted this quest with great reverence. I believe in this journey we are going to embark upon.
A voice shouts from the crowd.
Taylor Wright: Where are we going?
Gemini: We are stepping into Hell, Ira. We are stepping into hell unlike what you have ever encountered. We all have seen our fair share of hell. Fuck, I stepped into hell with Corey Black and Thomas Bates last week. I didn’t come out unscathed, but I came out alive, and that’s what I intend on doing again.
We are so much more than what we seem. As I look around the room I don’t see aliens, and I don’t see humans. I see opportunities. And again, I have an opportunity that I’ve been destined for. After my hell last week we all ended up in the same position, unable to make a ten count. Broken… bloody and beaten.
But here I stand, making a charge. Ready to fight again, and fight I will. I did not see that as a failure, I saw it as an opportunity. I saw it as a way forward. This isn’t over for me; the World Title story is NOT OVER for me. There is one last beast I am meant to slay and there’s only one way for me to get my hands on him.
And that’s winning the World Title. So as we step into hell, know that I intend on coming out alive. I do not step into this lightly, because if we do we will DIE! It will be the end of us and I promise you that I do NOT want it to be the end of us.
I will come back and I will step into a WCF ring again because THAT is where I belong. So know that I am not doing this for you… any of you.
He stared right at Invidia.
Gemini: I am doing this for ME. I am accepting my gluttony and using it for my benefit, because I need it, guys. I need the knowledge and I hunger for it. And the knowledge will help satiate my other hunger and that’s the WCF Championship. It’s a rare opportunity when people get to fight for that title, but I have done so 6 times, but only been successful once.
I do not intend on making number seven like 5 of the rest. Number seven means so much more to us. There are seven of us. There are seven chosen ones. There are 7 days of the week… there are 7 virtues and there are 7 deadly sins.
‘The number 7 is the seeker, the thinker, the searcher of Truth (notice the capital "T"). The 7 doesn't take anything at face value -- it is always trying to understand the underlying, hidden truths. The 7 knows that nothing is exactly as it seems and that reality is often hidden behind illusions.
One who has a chart dominated by the 7 is usually easily picked out of a group. He will be somewhat introverted, perhaps shy (not to be confused with low self-esteem), never truly comfortable in social settings. The 7 is the intellectual, but his intellect is not always obvious, especially at an early age (as a child, Einstein was dyslexic and not particularly bright or a good student). His intelligence is that of a dreamer, an intellectual explorer of the obscure, the person who tends to have a somewhat off-beat perspective on the world around him. Many are interested in the metaphysical, not because they are believers, but because it allows access to the ambiguous, abstract world of questions for which there are no clear answers.
The 7 is spiritual, but not religious. In fact, the age-old questions of what life is all about, why am we here, who am we, and so forth, never reach the status of clichés, but are essential to the 7's life-experience, and unless he finds the answers he will not stop looking for them until he dies.’*
I am the number seven. When we step into the pits of hell I will be the seventh one taken. It will be me who is the most important one who guides you through this journey. And this week will be my seventh opportunity. And I will be successful at it. I will use the knowledge learned as motivation to defeat Corey black and Thomas Bates and fight inside that cell.
And let’s not forget that the Hell in a Cell is MY Match. I faced KL Henson there after he revealed my true nature, and I faced Oblivion there while the walls were electrified when he questioned my true nature. Now Corey Black and Thomas Bates DOUBT my true nature.
And I have been doubted for WAY too long. I have been spit on and insulted. And I have let it slide. I remain introverted. I stay out of the limelight because I let my ACTIONS speak for themselves. I do not need to use my words to hurt people because my fists and my feet do that for me. So this week as we prepare for our trip through the otherworld, know that I am preparing for something that I feel is far greater than what we are embarking upon.
Three years ago I stepped foot into the WCF for the first time against Thomas Bates. He tossed me aside to gain the victory over my opponent and from that moment on he has been tossing me aside for victory knowing that I will lead him there and that he can steal it from me.
I’m tired of being victimized by him. I’m tired of him not accepting the fact that there is NO SUCH THING as an accident. He was not surrounded by BeachKrew when he kicked me in the face and he will not be surrounded by anyone other than me and Corey Black this week when we st34ep into that demonic structure.
He will have nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide, but most of all he will have nowhere to toss me aside. We will be stuck in a 20x20 foot cell and the only way to defeat me is to DEFEAT ME.
And it won’t be that easy. Neither Thomas Bates nor Corey Black have truly felt what it’s like to see me at full strength… to be FULLY motivated beyond human capability. But tonight we fight our way into hell, the first people on planet Earth to ever have done so. Most people try to stay out… but I WANT IN.
And that’s the difference between Corey Black and me. He wants desperately to stay in his own world he created for himself. He forges relationships and uses them to make him stronger. He uses and abuses people while being manipulated him. His mind is broken and he knows not who he is.
But I know. I know his true soul, as I know Bates’ true soul. I can see right through them… see to the REAL them and I can break their spirits, and break their bones. I will do whatever it takes to become the World Champion and there’s NOTHOING that you se7en or the two fucktards I’m stepping into the ring with can do about it!
First we go through hell… then I go to HELL IN A CELL!
Trinity: FOR CAPUA!
All: FOR CAPUA!
Gemini was the only one who didn’t chant. They clearly didn’t get the point.
Stupid Fucking Aliens
The Fight
He brought Teddy and Grady along for reinforcements. In the past week it had become more than apparent that they were stronger than any of se7en, including Gemini himself. He knew that the Three Beasts were going to be harder to fight than the Teckarots at Albany Cove and far more superior than the Cat Creatures of the Bula Isles. Gemini had suffered mighty wounds at the hands and claws of those creatures, and the three were certainly going to be even stronger, and more evil than anything he had ever set his eyes upon.
They walked through a quiet park. In the day this park was a trove of children playing on the swings and see-saws, going down the slides and playing tag completely unaware of the atrocities taking place directly beneath their feet. Hell was literally underneath Earth, just as you would imagine. The fiery pits depicted in art are in fact the molten core of the planet.
Art imitates life.
And as they walk past the merry-go-round they see three figures standing in the shadows. Their forms don’t look intimidating, but Gemini knew from experience not to take things at face value. He never underestimated an opponent.
Not again.
He called out to the creatures.
Gemini: Are you the Thr33?
No response. They walked closer. Gemini made sure that Lydia, Caleb, and Ross stayed back. They were no warriors. He led the charge with Invidia at his side. They were followed by Teddy and Grady and quite reluctantly by Taylor Wright who, though did not express the turpitude of wrath, had fighting experience nonetheless.
He called out again.
Gemini: Hello… are you the Thr33?
Three small girls came out wearing dirty white dresses. They all looked like little brides that had run away from their weddings. It brought Gemini back to how he found Vanessa all those years ago, running through the woods in her wedding dress after she had been kidnapped the night of and tortured for weeks by a deranged lunatic.
He then turned to Invidia who had no recollection of this event, though she had ultimately used Vanessa as a vessel before finding solace in Kat Pierce. It was strange to him that he had every memory of Grayson Pierce within him, almost as though they were one in the same, yet Invidia shared no experiences with her vessels.
The three girls spoke in succession, all with the same monotone voice.
Girl 1: We
Girl 2: are
Girl 3: Thr33.
Teddy, Grady and Invidia stepped up. They were not encumbered by their sight. They felt no remorse for brutally slaughtering three beautiful little girls wearing wedding dresses. Gemini and Taylor remained back, both showing true human emotion… appropriate human emotion.
Gemini: Hold. Not like this.
Girl 1: Why
Girl 2: not?
Girl 3: What
Girl 1: are
Girl 2: you?
Girl 3: A
Girl 1: fucking
Girl 2: FAGGOT!
Girl 3: Hahahahaha!
Caleb Ronan stepped forward. His body twitching, his eyes full of rage like Gemini had never seen his those bespectacled eyes before.
Caleb Ronan: TRIGGERED!
He blew up into a 20 foot tall massive creature, his eyes turned black, his skin yellow and his body a muscled mass that Gemini had never seen before. Yet his clothes remained the same size, and his beard remained perfectly kept as did his slightly askew beanie.
Girl 1: There…
Girl 2: you…
Girl 3: go!
They too transformed. The first girl turned into a scaled dragon-like creature and then soared the skies above. The second one turned into a creature that looked like a hairy rat and burrowed beneath them. The third one simply became larger but looked the same, but Gemini knew that look in her eyes. So did Invidia…
Invidia: You guys get the animals… I got the bitch.
She stormed forward and took arms with the girl as Triggered Caleb Ronan took wild swings at the dragon soaring above, shooting dragon out of its asshole every time it soared past. It burned his flannel shirt.
Caleb Ronan: That was an organic shirt, very suave!
He shouted while he continued swinging. Meanwhile Teddy and Grady played their best version of Whack-a-mole with the rat creature popping up out of the ground to take bites with its massive fangs towards the two sons of Gemini.
Battle cracked his fingers then his neck…
Gemini: Here we go…
The Placement
Invidia beheaded the girl as the rest feasted on the remains of the rat that Caleb had cooked with the ass fire of the dragon before he slayed it. They all needed a full stomach and energy before wandering off into the pits of hell.
As the head of the girl hit the floor a portal opened up where it landed. A stairway downward shown before them and Gemini led the way towards the pit.
Invidia: Give me a piece of duodenum.
She exclaimed while reaching into the rat’s stomach and pulling out a solid piece of muscle before taking a bite into it. They all followed Gemini down the stairway, spiraling down the natural rock formation that opened up in front of them.
He had become familiar with Dante’s Inferno, yet he knew that the scholar did not get everything correct. He correctly was able to use the 7 deadly sins, or the Se7en Chosen Ones, in order to help label the circles of hell, but they were not circles, or rings… they were rooms for lack of a better term.
The chambers had to be entered in order and a proper token must be left in each chamber in order to open the next one. It was imperative that all the Se7en were there plus one extra to succeed. If they failed, all the tokens would be destroyed. If they succeeded the tokens would be able to ascend back to the world with the knowledge that they will learn and then they can do with it what they must.
The Capuans were not the only planet with the Se7en, nor was earth the only hell they could attain this knowledge from. Earth is not special, nor are the Capuans. But this moment certainly could be. Only once before has The Placement been done successfully and that began this thing that is currently known as life. A successful placement can either help move the world forward in unimaginable ways, at least that’s what the prophecy states.
Gemini was hesitant to allow this knowledge of the world to fall into the wrong hands, and he was not fully convinced that he was doing the right thing. But he did know that he and Invidia were the last two to be left as tokens before the knowledge can be known. He would happily dispose of the rest if he ended this quest knowing that it would behoove him to do so.
This could be the next chapter of the rest of the world… or could just be another excerpt of failed attempts.
They reached the bottom of the steps and found a gargoyle. The stone creature was human form, scars on its head and muscles larger than Teddy’s. Caleb Ronan had reverted back to his human form, and was hiding behind Grady at the sight of it. It let out an uncomfortable grown, and an even more disconcerting aura around it.
It looked oddly familiar to Gemini.
Gemini: Jaymz?
Jaymz was a creature… or a demon… Gemini wasn’t quite sure that he knew from another world. He also knew that their paths would cross again when a certain stable with tolerance for zero came back into his life. He didn’t think it would be like this though.
Jaymz: Gemini Battle… so nice to see you again.
Something told him that it wasn’t nice for him to see him.
Jaymz: And you brought me a delicious sacrifice.
He said staring directly into the eyes and soul of Gemini Battle.
Gemini: Yes…
He reached back and pulled out a man. It was the deranged lunatic that had attacked Vanessa all those years ago. He had kept him alive all this time and knew that he would come in handy. He was a violent pedophile and rapist. He was the worst type of human being that could possibly walk the face of Earth.
Jaymz: You disappoint me, Gula. You disappoint me greatly. This vile wretch certainly belongs here, but as a sacrifice he is hardly passable.
Gemini: But is it passable?
He questioned. The quest may end here where they stand. It may be over before it began. And all for a poor sacrifice. Had his humanity gotten the better of him, not to bring a person pure of heart?
Jaymz: Yes… yes it is... for you.
He said disappointedly.
Jaymz: But remember that I did you this little favor… because I’m sure a time will come where you will have to repay it.
He agreed and thanked him. He wasn’t totally sure that time would come… he would have to make it out of hell alive first.
Just like he would have to make it out of Hell in a Cell this weekend against Corey Black and Thomas Bates. Once again he was forced to step into the ring with two of the most dangerous people he had ever stepped into the ring with.
The three of them all must have felt a bit slighted at their positioning on the card because the devastation that they put each other through in that trick r treat cell was some of the most dangerous things to ever have been conducted in a sanctioned WCF ring… XIII aside.
The three men put each other through hell, so much so that Gemini feels safer where he is now more so than he did in the ring at Helloween. His tension did not ease as he saw his positioning on the card this week at Slam. Facing these two was not a prospect he was necessarily looking forward to after what they put themselves through, but it certainly was an opportunity he was going to savor.
As he walked through the fiery pits of hell they came across the first chamber. He entered the chamber into the next room the se7en followed along with Teddy and Grady. This was
Pro Solitudinis
Gemini: Trinity… this is where your trip stops.
The room looked barren… not Baron. The walls were a hue of gray and the floors were made of concrete. There was nowhere to sit, no windows and no doors. They were effective locked in. But there was one thing of distinction. On the wall there was a series of writing. He knew not what it said, but he knew that Trinity was to stand there. He positioned the Japanese man into the words and tentacles reached out and trapped him against the walls. Trinity sat back, enjoying the embrace.
A voice boomed through the air from nowhere.
Voice: In this room there is nothing, but you will want for it. Your avarice will not be rewarded in this room of solitude. You will be forced to sit with your own selfish thoughts, and made to relive the horrors that you have set towards earth with your greed and disrespect for human kind. You reap what you sew.
Trinity still embraced his position as a door opened exposing the fiery pits of hell beyond. He stepped through and the 6ix followed. The portal closed behind him and they continued onwards, watching as human beings burned but never singed in the pits of fire around them.
He thought about greed. He thought about how he had once been greedy himself, fighting, and killing to get what he craved. He thought about how he craved the WCF title more than anything in the world right now, and reveled in the fact that he was putting his own greed aside in order to fulfill this quest for Invidia who walked proudly aside him as they headed towards their next location.
He thought about the greed that Thomas Bates displayed when he bailed out on him to run for congress, and the failure that he had become. He thought about the greed of Corey Black as he joined forces with the very team that tried to destroy the WCF just 6 months ago.
He didn’t forgive any of them. He didn’t forgive Bates for exposing his backside as he let the WCF burn to the ground. He didn’t forgive Corey for allowing him to be manipulated by people smarter but not stronger than he. They are all playing to his hubris to get what they want. It was asinine that he didn’t see it.
And he was the only one that seemed to see it. Where they all fucked each other in the ass, and were certainly the greatest unit in the WCF recent memory, including the DRG, they all had their own agendas. It only seemed like a matter of time before it all exploded. Yet it never did. Somehow their conflicting personalities all worked together and they were able to make their greed work for them, rather than against them.
But Gemini didn’t believe that Corey was able to keep up with them. They were going to outwit him and all of the relationships that he had destroyed by allowing them back into the fray of things were not going to be brought back to civility with a mere apology and a severe beat down by his now allies.
Corey Black was a liar.
Thomas Bates was a cheat.
They both do these for their own benefit. But neither of them can see the forest through the trees. They are unable to see anything other than what is right in front of them, and because of this they will fall.
Pro Crassa Cibum
They didn’t enter a chamber this time as the world around them simply became a room full of gelatinous liquid. They all had a hard time breathing, but Ross came forward through the sludge knowing that it was his time now. They found the familiar writing on the wall and placed Ross there. The familiar tentacles trapped him to the wall, and again the demonic voice came from out of nowhere but seemed everywhere.
Voice: You may not look it any longer, but your sloth had brought you to this place. Where in the prior room the one known as Trinity was meant to live without his Greed you are meant to dwell in your own filth as you will be forced to eat and defecate where you are… and I assure you both will happen.
The portal opened. Ross too understood his placement and remained calm. Lydia couldn’t help but give him a nice grab of the dick before she left the only person Gemini had ever seen her with.
He knew loss.
He knew how she felt.
And as they walked through the cavern where fire now rained from the sky around them falling on poor souls trapped to their chairs he wondered how his opponents felt about loss.
Corey Black certainly was not used to it. He was a legend in the company; he was not one for losing very often. In fact, in Gemini’s entire tenure here he could only envision maybe 2 times that Corey Black had actually lost and one of those times was to both Gemini and Thomas Bates in the Trio’s finale 2 years ago.
Funny where they stand just over a year later. That match now had 5 former World Champions in it. If you would have said that 6 months ago people would have laughed. They would have said they knew of three, and could even potentially imagine Thomas Bates being the forth… but Gonzo was dead… so who was the fifth?
He was not one to take his shortcomings lightly, Gemini Battle. He knew where his faults lie and knew that he had to overcome them in order to succeed. He knew that he was considered the weak link in that entire match but he still overcame and overwhelmed since then. He had that victory and in defeat Corey Black took time off.
He left. He hardly fought again, and it wasn’t until the WCF broke that Corey Black came back. Because if anyone truly is the embodiment of WCF it’s Corey Black, which is why it’s so sickening to see where he is now. But since then he has not suffered a loss yet. He defeated 6 men in 7 nights to become the king of the Deathmatch, the first ever and very appropriately so.
He then defeated Thomas Bates to win the World Title. The closes thing to a defeat was last week at Helloween where Gemini and Bates took him to the limit and nearly defeated him.
Nearly.
Gemini was no stranger to near victories, and each one of them haunted him to the core. He lived with each defeat and used them to become stronger. He never forgot. He’ll never forget losing to Felix White at Blast. He’ll never forget losing the US Title to Mikey eXtreme. He’ll never forget the countless defeats at the hands of Joey Flash.
And he’ll never forget the night that Thomas Bates defeated him to take his World Title away from him. He’ll never forget it, and he uses that as motivation to ensure that it will never happen again. In ever defeat Gemini Battle became stronger.
But in every defeat Thomas Bates became weaker and weaker. He still remembers the day that they lost the Trio’s Title the week before Helloween last year. He used it to get out of the shadow of the two larger men surrounding him, but Bates used it as a way out. He had no title any longer. He had suffered an embarrassing defeat as Gonzo did against Dune and he was done.
He couldn’t handle the defeat any longer, and after Bates lost at War he has not been the same man either. Where Gemini Battle fought to earn another title, and demanded to be in a three stages of hell match as well as the War match after he lost the title Bates has been meandering along trying to figure his way out. If Seth didn’t book this week he would have already been back down in North Carolina trying to find a way to run for President next week.
Gemini learns from his failures. The other two run from them.
Pro Libidine
Fortunately for Lydia she didn’t have to suffer long after watching her beloved taken away from here. The next chamber they entered housed only a chair with the same familiar writing on it. Gemini led her to it and sat her down. The tentacles ripped off her clothes and inserted every orifice. She smiled, accepting what she thought was her fate. He smiled quickly faded into a look of shear agony as the demonic voice spoke aloud again.
Voice: You have lusted for too long. You used your sexuality for your own good and hurt many on the way. You have broken hearts… now you will have your insides broken.
They didn’t exit this room as much as it faded away as they reappeared in another pit of fire and despair, where fire creatures danced around naked men and women, touching them, burning them, but never singing them.
He thought about the pain that they were enduring. He thought about the pain he was about to endure. He always loved getting into fights, even as a tiny alien, because he knew he could take the pain. And he truly felt that it gave him a physical advantage in the ring as well.
He enjoyed getting hurt so much so that he was willing to put his body on the line every time he stepped into the ring, knowing that he could never die, but hoping that he could find a way to do it. This is why Gemini Battle was always so much intrinsically better than Grayson Pierce. Pierce had the human element of fear for his life, whereas Gemini had to fear for it. His body may die, but his spirit will always live on.
And even though he knew that many humans didn’t believe in this theory he convinced himself that this is true for them as well. When he steps into the ring with other wrestlers he aims to kill them. Knowing that it’s against the rules he generally refrains from that… he’s not Jay Price killing Scarecrow after all, but he knows that he can inflict ungodly amounts of pain on his opponents.
He knows that at the end of the day that they will give up because of their human natured fear for their own life. They don’t understand what happens when you die. And in truth Gemini didn’t 100% know either. He was hoping this quest could open his eyes to this and countless other questions he needed answered.
Pro Spurcitia
They finally made it to the next room after what felt like an hours walk through the lustful sinners. The room was absolutely filthy. It looked like a dumpster exploded and intrinsically Caleb Ronan stepped forward and found the cryptic writing by filtering through the muck and filth on the floor. Once he found it he stepped on it. Tentacles came up but this time they looked like spaghetti covered in brown sauce. Ronan could help but make a look of disgust.
It appeared that each of the tokens was becoming less comfortable with what they were being asked to do, and Gemini feared what his task would be when his time came. This time the voice didn’t speak. Caleb simply fell into the sludge and garbage and was devoured by it as he yelled.
Caleb Ronan: TRIGGERED!
But nothing happened. He knew his fate. The voice didn’t find it necessary to discuss it further. He stepped out and the remaining thr33 looked at each other. Gemini, Invidia and Taylor were the only chosen ones left. Teddy and Grady still stood by waiting for their next task, but knowing there likely wouldn’t be one other than find a way out of hell.
He didn’t know how this was going to end for them. He didn’t know how it was going to end for any of them. The suspense was what was driving him to the next place. He wanted to get out. He NEEDED to get out. He wanted to get to Slam this week at fight for the World Title. The same title that eluded him for so long that he =finally grabbed only to have it unceremoniously stripped away from him the next month.
The WCF had been plagued by weak title holders since Joey Flash lost it to Logan. No one had been able to get a firm grasp on it. Many people saw this as a sign of weakness, but Gemini saw it as a testament to the ability of the competition.
Gemini, selfishly and probably foolishly saw himself as better than the competition. He didn’t feel that he deserved to lose the title, but he felt that he deserved to earn it again. He knew he had to travel through the muck and filth to get his spot back, and he did that with his success at One. Even in defeat he came out looking like a champion and though he wasn’t satisfied with his performance he was proud of it.
He felt that he understood pride and didn’t truly see it as the sin it is when done correctly. He used his pride to help give him the confidence to step into the cell at Helloween and fight his heart out. But he could see where it would become an issue.
In men like Thomas Bates, where his pride make him unable to believe things that his eyes are seeing. If he was here right now he would claim to be in a factory that makes fire rather than being in the pits of hell right now. Because if he doesn’t understand it his pride makes him pretend that it doesn’t exist.
And Corey Black has so much pride that he underestimates the people he steps into the ring with. His pride makes him think that he’s better than he is which is an amazing feat because he truly is the best that the WCF has ever seen. My defeat of him doesn’t make Gemini batter than Corey Black, it makes him better than him THAT NIGHT.
And that’s all that it takes. It takes three seconds of him being able to get over on the two men and to be better that night. And he planned on it, as long as he could get out of this place.
They stopped before the next room.
Mors cubiculum
These words were familiar to Gemini and Invidia. They had entered and barely escaped many rooms with these words written on it. He looked over at Taylor Wright who had fear in his eyes and sweat dripping down his forehead into his mouth.
Death Chamber
Taylor Wright: What now?
Invidia: It’s your turn.
She smiled, completely uncompassionate about the situation as she pushed him into the room and forced him to stumble onto the spot where the words were written. A Pendulum swung and chopped Taylor’s head right off his body before Gemini could even say a word.
He couldn’t believe she did it. Gemini was ready to step away, to allow Taylor to make the decision that was in front of him. They both knew what was going to happen. Not necessarily the means, but they knew the end and Gemini felt that Taylor should be able to make his own choice.
As quickly as the room appeared the room faded and they were alone again. The voice had no need to speak again, but Gemini couldn’t help himself.
Gemini: What the fuck? What in the actual fuck was that all about?
Invidia: It had to be done. You’re next, remember. Let’s go.
She was confident and she was strong, but worst of all she was right. It had to be this way. It had to end like this. They had gone too far. Gemini decided before the last room that he wanted to complete the task, and Invidia sensed that. She knew him better than any other.
But she couldn’t understand why. He couldn’t explain it to her either. He felt drawn to the completion. He felt like he was destined to complete this task. Taylor was the only odd one out. He was the only one that they were unsure of and with Invidia’s heinous actions they now knew that they were going to complete the task unlike any other in millennia.
This excited him. This made him eager to go on knowing that he could complete the task, earnt he knowledge of the world and go to Slam to retain his World Title with the confidence that he’s never had before. All he had to do was complete whatever task was set for him and then the World Title was as good as his.
Amicus meus est, Miser
This was it. The room of Misery that Gemini was destined to be in. The entered the room and it looked like the first room. Gray walls, rock floor and words emblazoned on the wall beyond.
His excitement grew as he accepted his fate at the wall. He kissed Invidia, he hugged Teddy and shook Grady’s hand. This wouldn’t be the last time he saw them, but it would be the last time he experienced them in this way.
No one knew what to expect when the task was complete. And he was entrusting Invidia to complete it in the next room. He trusted her fully, even though she truly had done nothing to deserve it.
He stepped towards the wall. Put his back to it and waited for the tentacles.

Nothing happened. No tentacles. But the voice came.
Voice: YOU ARE NOT GULA!
Gemini: Fuck that. Yes I am!
Voice: NO… HE IS!
The Tentacles burst forth through the walls and grabbed Grady and pulled him close and as quickly as they grabbed him they were transported into the next room.
Gemini: NOOOOO!
Invidia: What happened? What does this mean? You’re not Gula? Who are you?
She took a defensive stance, but stepped back when she saw no reproach from Gemini. He was just as shocked as she was. This was the same man that she had grown to love and lust over. This was the same man that she felt envious of other relationships over. But he was not Gula. Not anymore.
Gemini: Months ago when Grayson escaped…
He postulated
Gemini: It must have been then. But if I’m not Gula… if I’m not Gluttony any longer… then what am I?
Invidia took him by the hand and looked into his eyes. Her soft touch soothed him and she whispered in his ear.
Invidia: I don’t give a fuck.
And she wasn’t kidding. They found themselves in the final room and Invidia strolled over to the space on the floor where the cryptic writing was and she allowed herself to be sucked into the floor beneath her without even a second glance towards Gemini or Teddy.
Gemini looked up at Teddy who had a tear in his eye as his mother left him again. True despair and as the tear welled up and dropped to the floor the room sifted again and a large red devil sitting on a throne of fire stood before them.
Gemini: Lucifer?
He spoke… it was the same voice that was forcing them to cower in fear earlier.
Lucifer: Gemini, you are far more than you can even believe.
He pats the seat next to him. And Gemini understood. He was meant to sit at the left hand of the Devil. He was the son of Lucifer and was the embodiment of all evil. He was no longer just gluttony, but all of the sins rolled into one. He was a better version of Creeping Death.
So he stepped towards the open place but was stopped by an unknown force.
Lucifer: No.
Lucifer was oddly calm. He always imagined a creature full of hate when he met the devil, but this creature was calm, cool and collected… well maybe not cool, but not as hot headed and he physically actually was.
Lucifer: You are not the prophesized one. He is.
He pointed at Teddy and he realized that this miracle birth, just like Jesus was born, made him the son of Lucifer. The embodiment of all evil.
Teddy walked over, not completely sure what to do but accepting his fate as the others did. He was not supposed to come. Gemini did everything in his power to stop him ad Grady, but in the end it was all meant to be. Only one question was left.
Gemini: What about me?
Lucifer: You have fought well. You have fought valiantly, but I fear that you do not fully understand the quest yet. You are no longer the embodiment of Gluttony, nor are you a Capuan any longer. You are human, just like I once was.
But just like me you have the chance to become so much more. You have the opportunity to become an angel. From there it is your choice whether you become a fallen angel as I have become or if you become a true angel and ascend to the heavens.
Gemini: I… I am no angel meant for the heavens. I belong down here.
Lucifer: Your belief in that proves otherwise. However, now is not your time. But it will come.
Gemini: What about the knowledge of the world?
Lucifer: You were meant to bring ME the knowledge of the world.
Gemini: But…
Lucifer: Last year, around this time Wrath had imbued gold with the knowledge that I needed. The Omega Man was aware of my needs. And you had that gold… for a short time. And that’s when all the pieces began to fit together.
However, your foolish and weak natured mind and body lost that gold. But that opportunity knocks again. I need that Gold. With that Gold I will have the knowledge that I seek and you se7en will be rewarded with what you deserve.
But I NEED THAT GOLD. Bring me the gold, I will take the knowledge, and you can have the keep the gold.
One year ago the Omega Man imbued it. He remembered touching the World Title and becoming sick. He remembered winning the World Title and the surge of strength it gave him then, much more so than any of the other titles.
And as if it hadn’t dawned on him already, he realized what his fate was. He realized what he had to do. As he looked at Lucifer and his paternal son sitting next to the demon he knew that his destiny was not yet fulfilled.
Grayson Pierce was tasked with a list of responsibilities the final of which being winning the World Title. There was so much more to that list that met the eye.
Gemini: I will do it… I will win the WCF WORLD TITLE!
