Again
Once again Gemini Battle finds himself in the infirmary after being the victim of another heinous extracurricular activity event involving a large rubber boot, Gemini’s nose, and a laughing Rabid Sanchez in the background. These things seem to be becoming ever more consistent since a certain stable decided to run their way through the WCF, but Gemini could take it with stride.
When it was them.
The Flash/Black led team of Pantheon were expected to take liberties with unsuspecting individuals; they were expected to be ASSHOLES… but Thomas Bates was a different beast altogether. He can’t be trusted, and just when Gemini had decided to let him in, in a moment of haziness… in a moment of disbelief and insecurity he once again fell victim to the giant’s generosity only to be taken advantage of by his selfish and self-assuring manner.
And almost like the fucking idiot could tell that Gemini was ruing his name in his mind the oafish beast walked into the infirmary up in arms.
Thomas Bates: Can you believe that… listen, Gem…
Gemini: No you listen, Tommy. I let you into my HOME last week. I allowed you to meet my children.
Bates scoffs. Gemini no sells.
Gemini: Against my better judgement I decided to TRUST you this week as we stepped into the ring against Pantheon and the Brotherhood, and just like you did last time we faced Pantheon, you let me down. You fucking made me do all the work, and when I had everyone in position for you to win the match you fucking blew it. You fucking let your guard down and you let Sanchez steal the pin… fucking Sanchez, man. That bitch has got your number huh?
So whatever, that happened. We all know that you can’t beat Pantheon. You’ve made a fucking living losing to those assholes over and over again. But I haven’t. I’ve been building up my reputation and building up my stock. I’ve been busting my ass each and every week, refusing to take a week off for a break of any type. I’ve been fighting, unlike Corey Black, unlike Joey Flash, and unlike you, Thomas. You, as you always do, put other things first, but not me. I ALWAYS put the WCF first. Even at the detriment of my personal life.
He stops and imagines Invidia getting on the massive spaceship that the Guardians burst off into the solar system. She had left because she wanted to complete the prophecy. She wanted to fill their life’s work and find Wrath and have him aid in the quest.
But Gemini had other plans. As he stared into the eyes of the one person… the one entity that he could ever say that he truly loved, including himself, he decided to let her go. He let her go and didn’t go with her for the sake of the WCF. He allowed his most precious cargo to go off with essentially a bunch of strangers and he stood tall with the WCF.
Gemini: And every time I see a Champion taking a break… every time I see you stepping off and not even bothering to show up to the show I fucking shake in my boots. I want to escape the prison that I’ve shackled myself in and destroy everyone who decides that this week isn’t good enough for them, and maybe next week isn’t either. I’ve watched as countless ‘Champions’ barely put forth any effort unless the title is one the line.
And what does that make you. If you can’t put your all… your heart and our being into every match then why the hell are you here. I’m alone, Thomas. I’m all fucking alone, and that’s something that you can’t comprehend because you have an entire family of failed wrestlers supporting you…
Bates fist clenches tighter than Gemini has ever seen at the mention of the Bates Wrestling Family. The fire in his eyes is stronger than any fury he had ever seen from the big man.
Gemini: The whole fucking harem of Bates’ follow you wherever you go, and when they grow tiresome of your shit, you have an entire gang of law abiding bikers that fucking bow down to your every whim. And you can shout from the mountain tops about how you have forged these relationships through years of support and the foundation is rock hard. You can say whatever you want to support your own claims… you always do.
But at the end of the day, the mirror lies to you. When you look at your face and say your daily affirmations…
‘I’m good enough, I’m strong enough, and dang nabbit, people like me!’
…you are merely propelling the propaganda that you have set forth and hyping yourself while leaving everyone who supported you in the back where you feel they belonged.
It’s my fault, at the end of the day, Bates, for letting you back in. It’s my fault for allowing me to get caught back up in your bullshit. I thought a big win for us at Slam would give us the momentum that we needed heading into a huge title match, me against the man who took it from me and you against the man who took it from you. And for me that’s what this was. This was all to get prepared for the bigger match, but for you it was to watch me struggle and then to kick me in the fucking face likes a goddamned COWARD!
He points to his face and the white bandages covering his nose and the black eyes swelling up, almost closing his eyes completely. He wished that Bates could see the passion in his eyes at this moment. He felt that often times Bates heard the things that Gemini said and took it lightly, like an old friend simply taking liberties with one another. So he chose his next words carefully.
Gemini: Thomas Uriel Bates…
I
HATE
YOU!
With each word he breathed heavy and made sure that every letter could be heard. He made sure that there was no mistaking his intentions and Bates’ response had proved that he had made his point.
Thomas Bates: I guess that’s all there is to say.
He says with a tone of dejection mixed with defiance in his voice. But that wasn’t the response that made Gemini realize he had made his point. When Bates left the room he slammed the door so hard that it broke off the hinges and shattered into pieces on the floor.
Touché.
Eliciting Emotions
Gemini: Music, man. I found myself falling into the abyss of YouTube after getting my clock run by Bates. Fearing that falling asleep while concussed may be the final sleep that I’ve ever had. I must still have some of Grayson Pierce within me because I feel so much while listening to music. Its mind blowing to have something so seemingly innocuous elicit so much emotion.
Music was such a huge part of Grayson’s life, and having all of his memories, it has in turn become so important to me. I have strayed away from it in the past few years, trying to focus more on what makes me unique rather than what made Grayson unique. But perhaps I’ve been coming at this entirely the wrong way.
Perhaps I need to embrace what makes me human just as much as what makes me Capuan. Perhaps… seeing as where we are we need to embrace our humanity more than our Capuanity.
He sits on his throne of skulls while Teddy and Grady sit cross legged in front of him like two children listening to their father tell them a nighttime story. In fact that was precisely what was going on. Teddy and Grady were still children in the bodies of men. He needed them to learn what it meant to be human before he sent them off to assist him in his current quest. He turned on a song that particularly garnered his interest.
Gemini: I don’t want to explain to you how this song is supposed to make you feel. The lyrics tell you one thing. The lyrics tell you how terrible things are. How you can expect misery to follow you wherever you go. It’s this human emotion that they insist on eliciting.
Misery.
To me it seems that all of these feelings can be pushed aside, forgotten, or used for the betterment of yourself if not for the betterment of mankind. But then as you listen to the contradicting music that moves the song along you get a bit of a different emotion from it.
You see, this song is a heavy driving beat, yet there’s this somewhat whimsical base line carrying the whole tune. The tone of the vocals seems a bit sarcastic.
“Misery… you insist that the weight of the world should be on your shoulders.”
You INSIST it. You force it to be so. Even though it doesn’t have to be it is. You are making this so, and you have the power to stop it. Do you understand what I’m saying? This song… this poetry of words and sounds go together in harmony as the human spirit does.
Do not listen to just the words… do not listen to just the sounds. Listen to how they work together. Like all people… like all humans they are not one dimensional. If they are they tend to be a bit of a sociopath which is a whole different course that I’m sure we’ll cover in our quest to become real humans. But this song, like human nature is layered, and has multiple meanings.
And the beauty is… the MOST BEAUTIFUL part of this thing that humans call music is… that there is no wrong way to interpret it. Some people hear the heavy driving force, and it give them energy. Some people hear the lyrics and thinks that it speaks to their own desperate crying pleas for help and attention. Either way it’s right.
For them at least.
Now take a listen to this one.
He turns his iPad onto the next song.
Gemini: This song pisses me off. This song gives me energy. This is the type of song I can listen to while getting ready at the gym… while in the car to the arena to get ready for my match. But this song… this very song in particular has a special meaning for me. For this week at least.
This song signifies failure. Now listen to the words. The Hebrews are the slaves, yet where are they now. They have taken over the world. They have fought through the adversity and now the meek certainly has inherited the Earth.
On its surface it the story of Passover, a story of a plague sweeping the lands and destroying the first born sun unless lamb’s blood was smeared on the doorway of your home. To have your first born son snatched away from you in his youth… hits a bit close to home, now doesn’t it?
He looks at Grady, the reanimated soul of Teddy Pierce in the morphed body of Grayson Pierce. Even he seems to understand the gravity of these words.
Gemini: But this song means failure for another reason, a reason that may only be prevalent to me. This is one of those rare cases where no one will feel the same way about this song as I do because this song is a constant reminder of a man who stands atop the WCF Galaxy and stares down at his dominion with a sparkle in his crotch and a twinkle in his eye. He stands there, taking his sweet time to himself and enjoying watching his future opponents go out each and every week and fight for their bread.
A man who lives in a castle on top of a mountain with all the luxuries in the world at his fingertips. And I get it. I have a similar stature. And I use it to my greatest benefit. However, I do not use it as an excuse to get out of things that I don’t see fit for a champion. Since he won the title he has defended it against a man who has not won a match since 1999 and… well… THAT’S FUCKING IT!
Is that they type of man who truly represents a championship? Is that they type of man you want as the face of the fucking company? A man who only shows up when it matters to him >< How does that set an example to the rest of the roster. How can you possibly think that this man deserves a title after all that he’s put the WCF through?
Corey Black tried to DESTROY the WCF... a legacy that he helped to build for the last 15 years. He’s been the mainstay, the greatest champion of all time… fuck that…the GREATEST WRESTLER of all time. And I’m not gonna play that game where I say that he’s lost his step because he won 6 death matches in 7 days and then won a Death Match to defeat Thomas Bates at War.
And this week we step into a cell with weapons dangling all over the place, another Death Match. And many would say… nay… ALL would say that Corey has the distinct advantage. Some would even go as far as saying that Corey Black would only lose the title if he chooses to lose the title. Well, if that’s the case, I’m going to leave him with no choice but to lose the title this week at Helloween.
When he and Bates and I step into that Cell and are surrounded by the most brutal and most barbaric weapons that Seth can imagine I’m going to use each and every single one of them to my disposal to inflict pain that the two men I’m stepping into that cell with could not even imagine.
Sure, it’s cliché. To claim to dismember your opponent seems quite cliché. But lest I remind you that I am the ONLY man to ever dismember their opponent in the ring in order to win a match.
He pulls up a YouTube video.
Zombie drags Gemini to the ring and rolls him into it.
Zombie takes the sword and rips away some turnbuckle padding with his bare hands. He then buries the handle of the sword into the hole he has made in the padding so the blade is sticking outwards. He lets out an evil laugh and turns back to Gemini….who has gone! He turns around looking for him but to no avail. Suddenly Gemini quickly enters the ring with a ring bell in his hand, which he smacks around the jaw of Zombie. He quickly grabs the sword and takes a massive slice out of Zombie’s gut. He pushes him down to the mat face first, and then locks in the Victory March!! Blood just sprays everywhere from his gut and the referee just calls the match over.
Ding Ding!!
Kyle Steel: Here is your winner…Gemini Battle!!
Freddy Whoa: UGH!! OH-
Freddy faints and faceplants the announce table

Gemini: I am willing to stop at nothing to gain victory, and both of these men know it. When a big match comes I too bring all that I have. Sure I’ve come up short, but the human spirit keeps me going, boys. The thrill of the fight… the eye of the something…er…
It’s all part of what makes us human.
Do you feel it?
The passion; the desire. You want something and sometimes you can’t put your finger on what it is. This isn’t pure gluttony or lust you’re after. This isn’t the seven chosen ones that have no choice but to garner only one emotion and feed on that. We are human.
We feel envious.
I’m jealous I’m not the champ.
We feel lust.
I lust for that belt.
We feel gluttonous,
Because there’s not enough pain that I can inflict on Thomas Bates or Corey Black to satiate me.
We feel pride
And I’m damn proud of what I’ve done in the WCF and intend on being here for a LONG, LONG TIME and holding that championship… proudly.
We feel greed
Because when I grab that title I will never let it go.
We feel sloth
But we don’t let it define us.
We feel wrath
And I will unleash the entire wrath in my heart on both Thomas Bates and Corey Black when we step into that Trick R’ Treat Cell. It won’t be a massacre… it won’t be a genocide… it will be just two men having their careers end at my hands.
But we feel so much more. We feel confused, happiness, sadness… we feel FEAR. And all of these things make us who we are, but only one thing defines us, and that’s HOW we deal with these emotions. Teddy… Grady… It’s not easy being human, but it’s the greatest thing I can think of.
He looks down at his two boys and sees the joy of youthful innocence in their war battered eyes.
Gemini: “"Excuse me while I tend to how I feel these things return to me that still seem real now, deservingly, this easy chair but the rocking stopped by wheels of despair.”
“My body lies but still I roam.”
So Far Gone
When you hit rock bottom the only way to go is up. Gemini experienced this as Grayson Pierce as the world crumbled beneath him, forcing him to accept the soul of Gemini and become the willing vessel of a Capuan Soldier. Bu this feeling of despair never seemed to cease. It seemed to dwell within him, and for the first time in a long time he was beginning to feel empathy for the pain he caused on Pierce.
Invidia was gone. The only thing that he cared for had left him and never looked back. He realized how little she understood about humanity, and perhaps it was this fact that hurt him the most. He loved her… unconditionally. Despite her evil ways, no matter how many people she killed, and how many towns she raided in an attempt at a feast of envy he still loved her.
And he couldn’t for the life of him understand why. She was a terrible example of a human… but she was the perfect example of a Capuan. Having no respect for human life was the key since they fed on humans. It’s similar to how humans don’t care for cows and they merely feed on them. But there’s some that do. There are some humans that see every single living being as one with worth and that all things living deserve to live their life to the fullest.
This is a fine way to think.
Gemini Battle walks through his Battle Station and sees the sea of Dr. Patel’s working feverishly at the multiple projects that they have in front of them. But this frenzy of hard work doesn’t give him the same excitement that it used to. He believed in the work that they were doing, he had changed it from human domination to human salvation, but it still wasn’t enough.
What good was a king without a queen?
He climbed to the rooftop where he last saw her, as he tended to do, and just took in the nights fresh air. It was beginning to get cold at night in New York City. He needed a jacket, but didn’t care to go down and grab one. He instead bore the cold as though it was a penance for a sin he did not commit. He ached in his heart and on his flesh.
It was the pain that he needed right now.
He saw a shooting star in the sky. He closed his eyes and made a wish.
‘I wish Invidia was here to share this moment.’
When he opened his eyes and saw that shooting star getting bigger and brighter. He turned his head at the projectile in the sky as it continued to grow in size and brilliance.
Gemini: What the fuck is that?
He’s seen many astronomical phenomena while travelling through space, but nothing on Earth. Their atmosphere was fucked. It was hard to see anything out in space, so this must be travelling through the lower atmosphere and based on the size and apparent speed it was headed directly towards him.
He embraced it, thinking these would be the last breaths he would ever breathe.
He was ready to accept death.
The space around him heated up exponentially as the projectile soared through space right towards his location. He wondered how many would die from this explosion. He imagined that it would be at least the entire city block and knowing the kind of foot traffic and businesses beneath him he envisioned the number would be approximately a hundred thousand easy.
He was ready to accept death.
The object grew larger. The light grew brighter. The heat intensified and the screaming began.
Screaming?
It sounded like a human voice screaming at the top of its lungs. At a closer listen it sounded like a woman’s voice. Of course she was screaming in fear. The object was not an object, but a human being sent through the atmosphere at the speed of sound and headed directly towards him.
He was no longer ready to accept death.
He wanted to know what the fuck was going on. And as the screaming woman came down she crashed hard and created an indent in the concrete atop Gemco Towers. The dust and slate that rose fogged the area. He was afraid to look at the destruction, but couldn’t help himself. He was expecting to see a glob of red goo and maybe a couple of bones. No human could fall from that distance at that speed and come out unscathed.
And it was no human that just landed next to him. He stared down as the woman brushed herself off and then brushed off a man with her.
Gemini: Invidia?
Invidia: I’m back baby. And look who I brought with me.
She points at the man with long black hair, a rugged beard and with clear muscles bulging from his shirt.
Gemini: Should I know him?
Invidia: its wrath, baby. I’ve got him! We can move forward with the plan now!
Moving Forward
He made tea. It was an act of nervousness for him. He decided to leave Teddy in the dark about the situation for now, not totally sure what to make of this situation. And he decided to leave Invidia in the dark about Grady. That’s something she doesn’t need to know about just yet. But he was most interested in this human that she claimed was Wrath. He was showing no outward rage of any type, and in fact, seemed perfectly normal. Perhaps Wrath had acclimated to human living just as he did?
He poured the hot water into the tea cups and let them pick their own flavor. She picked Chamomile… so he felt more confident that it was her. He chose black tea and Gemini chose some Earl Gray. The steeped their teabags and Gemini asked.
Gemini: How can you be so sure he’s Wrath?
Man: I’m not. My name is Taylor Wright. This bitch fucking came at me at work and kidnapped me. I was just about to make my fucking return too! I missed out on a huge payday.
Invidia: If you’re not Wrath then how did you survive that fall? Only a Capuan could have survived that!
He seemed lost for an answer.
Gemini seemed more convinced. He wasn’t a stranger to having to convince someone that they were Capuan. Many of them get lost in their human personas; the human will overpower their delicate sensibilities. But this didn’t seem like a consequence of Wrath. Yet he was found in a separate dimension and he had no idea how things worked there.
Taylor: I’m not a Capuan, or whatever you said. I’m a New Yorker.
Gemini: Well if you’re a New Yorker you must know about Gemco LTD. We sell covers… all types of covers. In fact we are the biggest cover manufacturer in the United States. I hear there’s a larger one in India yet I have not been illuminated to that yet.
Taylor: I’ve never heard of you. I moved to Chicago a few months ago. Been working with the Mayor over there to help clean up the streets. A good guy really. Helped me out a lot. Until he got me arrested.
The idea of working with a crooked Mayor of Chicago got him thinking about something.
Gemini: It wasn’t David… never mind.
It couldn’t be him. He felt stupid even thinking that it could have been.
Invidia: I found him near a wrestling ring. Like you said, they seem to flock to it. Wrath has ALWAYS been a wrestler, and when he fled to the other universe he went to another wrestling company. Hilarious.
Taylor: I moved to Chicago to start my life over.
Invidia: I don’t think you were always Ira. But you are now.
Taylor: Ira… I thought you said Wrath.
Gemini: It’s the same thing. Now listen, Taylor… you say you’re a wrestler?
Invidia: Oh, fuck. No, Gula. I didn’t come here to introduce you to a new wrestling fuck buddy. I’ve brought him here to complete the task. We need to introduce him to the others and we need to finish what we’ve been working on.
Teddy: Mom!
The giant oaf of a man barged through the locked door, destroying it like it was a fucking piece of tissue paper and ran towards Invidia whose eyes opened wide with excitement.
Invidia: MY BOY!
He leapt up into her arms and she spun him around like a baby. It was quite funny to see the tiny woman carrying the large man with ease. She stopped spinning and stared at Gemini.
Invidia: We’re not finished… but I gotta catch up with my boy! WEEEEEEEE!
She continued spinning him around in circles in his arms as his face lit up with joy and they exited the room through the large hole in the wall Teddy had just created leaving Gemini and Taylor alone. After a moment of awkward silence Taylor spoke up.
Taylor: Yea, I’m a wrestler.
Gemini: Me too. I’ve got a title match in my promotion this week.
Taylor: Fuck dude, congrats. You gonna win?
Gemini: Hope so. Gotta Tall Mountain to climb… literally. One of the guys I’m facing they call the Mountain. He’s over 7 feet tall- over 400 pounds. I pinned him once, he pinned me once and the other two times we were in triple threat matches he tossed me like 40 feet to get me out of the way. Have you ever been tossed 40 feet, man? It’s surreal.
Taylor: I was just dragged across an entire dimension; away from my friends and family to this place I’ve never been that looks totally different from where I’m from. So yea… I get it.
Gemini: Sorry, dude. Forgot.
Taylor: Nah, I’m overhyping myself. I was the Ambassador of Urban Relations in Chicago… well the other Chicago I guess. I worked for a Mayor Sanchez and when I couldn’t beat a guy he wanted me too he decided that he was going to frame me for arson… well… we agreed to frame someone else and I actually lit the bar on fire but still, he fucked me.
Gemini: So you’re not a very good person either.
The mayor Sanchez line was not lost on him. He didn’t feel it was time to bring it up.
Taylor: Nah… guess I’m not.
Gemini: acceptance is the first step towards salvation, my man. I don’t want to sound like a preacher, but I’m all about second chances. As long as you prove that you deserve it. Now I don’t know if you’re Wrath, or what. But you survived a pretty hefty fall. I’m gonna let you stay here for a while to rest up and recoup. If you want I can get my head Multidimensional Scientist Dr. Patel to try and find a way back to the other dimension where you’re from.
Taylor: Thanks. Yea. Ok. Sure.
Gemini: Don’t worry. One word answers are often a side effect of dimensional plane travel.
Taylor: Nah, I’m just not like articulate and shit.
Gemini: Sure… yea. So… let me show you to your room.
Taylor: Actually… it sounds dumb. But listening to you talk about wrestling kinda made me feel a bit more at home. Could you… could you hang out for a bit and talk a bit more about it.
Gemini: Yea man. Sure. It started Fifteen years ago when a young and hungry wrestling promoter named Seth Lerch had decided to start up his own company. I wasn’t there but I imagine that he had been in a few and saw how horribly they were run and thought he could do a better job. And I wouldn’t doubt that to be so. Many people started off with a pocket full of change and a heart full of passion and failed. But Seth didn’t allow himself to fail, but most importantly there was one man who refused to let him fail, and that Was Corey Black.
Corey Black has been in the WCF since day fucking one. He has seen it through the good times and through the bad times. He has fought alongside Seth Lerch and fought against him, but the whole time doing what he felt was the right thing not just for him but ultimately for the company. He’s been a staple of the WCF… no… he’s been a staple of the wrestling community for a decade and a half.
We are currently in the middle of a Civil War in the WCF. Corey Black has instituted the help of a few guys who just 6 months ago decided to bail out at the first sign of trouble. It’s gotten him a bit of heat, but at the end of the day I truly believe that Corey BELIEVES that he’s doing what’s right for the company. Team WCF vs Team Pantheon should just as well be called Team WCF vs Team WCF because no stable has been as influential and as synonymous with WCF as Pantheon, regardless of who is in it.
Corey’s story is long and drawn out, and I don’t mean that in an insulting way, I mean that it’s been told for fifteen years and is ever changing and growing. Unfortunately, I was not here for the beginning of it, or the majority of it in any way, but I know the general idea.
He had some issues with some personal demons. He summoned an internal spirit known as Creeping Death to make him stronger, faster and more devastating than ever. It was Creeping Death that helped lead him to the promise land of the WCF Championship multiple times. It was Creping Death that toppled the monster Odin Balfore, a Nordic God who channeled his energy into human form in order to compete and was considered the most dominant rookie in the WCF until Jonny Fly then Joey Flash came along…
Taylor: You guys have GOD’S wrestling in your company? Did anyone ever think that they were just schizophrenic or something?
Gemini: Sure… people think that they’re schizo… but when you’ve been around the universe as I have you take everything at face value. There are of course some deeper and hidden meanings behind everything, but if you refuse to believe what your own eyes are telling you than you have been defeated before you even begin.
And that’s the problem with the other man in this match, Thomas Bates. He refuses to live in a world where demons roam the underworld, and where space and time travel is not only accessible but a common occurrence. His brain can’t wrap itself around the fact that we have created this universe, not the other way around. We were brought into it but what we put into it is what makes it real, and makes it unique.
So he rides his motorcycles for charity, and believes that violent murderers are merely seeing these things in their own mind, and believes that I am a human like he is. And that’s why he lost to Corey Black at War, because he couldn’t truly see the devil that lies within the tortured soul of Corey Black.
The man is not fighting his demons any longer; he has become his demons, and learned how to control them. When he doesn’t need them he forces them deep inside, building rage and building energy, just waiting to be let loose on the world! Meanwhile on the surface he’s a condescending and pedantic asshole who is easier to send into a tizzy than Dion Necurat when you call him homeless.
He’s easily manipulated. And it’s a shame because when the demons are in control he’s nearly impossible to manipulate. But it’s this that perhaps makes him the most dangerous. You see he’s being manipulated by the men he’s brought in to fight by his side. They knew the only way they could come back and earn a decent paycheck again was to side with the man who truly is Team WCF in Corey Black. And with his blessing and only his blessing were they allowed to come back.
But when he steps into the ring it’s not Corey Black you’re stepping into the ring with. It’s not the man who you can call a ‘pussy’ and have him go off on a tangent about not liking cats for 45 minutes. It’s the man that defeated Odin Balfore at One… it’s the man that defeated Steve Orbit at XIII, and it’s the man that dethroned Thomas Bates at War for the World Title.
I understand this, and I have a healthy amount of fear but most of all I have respect for this. Thomas Bates cannot come into this world and expect to be successful when he can’t believe what he is seeing. He came into my home and met my children and scoffed at them. He couldn’t believe that I could reanimate the soul of a dead child into the body of a human.
But this is the world; this is the world we’ve created, Taylor. And this is the world that you’ve entered by falling through the space time continuum and into my building. I’m not sure what the world was like where you’re from, but I assure you that this world will be different in many ways.
Taylor: The world where I came from wasn’t too different from this... well… the wrestling world where I came from wasn’t too different. That same passion and aggression is the same where I’m form. The intensity and drive is the same. Some things change, but most stay the same, now doesn’t it?
Gemini: We live, we breathe, and we fight! The basic principles of the universe I imagine would be similar wherever you’re from. But the most important thing, no matter where you’re from, and no matter where you go is to believe. You have to believe in things that seem unbelievable. That’s what religion is, now isn’t it. Religion is a belief due to a misunderstanding of the world. But when the world comes into focus and you can see that the Earth is not flat, and that the sky isn’t actually blue, it just appears blue due to the infractions of light through the particles then you have to believe that.
I am an alien. It’s not a psychological state that I’m in-Gemini Battle inhabited the body of Grayson Pierce and when Grayson Pierce escaped the body remained. This phenomena I cannot understand… but I believe it to be so because I have no other choice but to believe.
But Thomas Bates chooses to be ignorant of the world. He chooses to be ignorant of his own incredulities and overstimulates his own self-worth. He chooses to be a loser. And if he keeps this up; if he keeps up this inability to accept the world as it is rather than what he sees it fit to be then he will never again be the World Champion.
This week there is no way for him to toss me out of the way. We will be encased in a cell with weapons surrounding us. I can’t be thrown into the crowd for him to clean up the scraps that I’ve made of our opponent. This week there is nowhere to run, but most importantly there is nowhere to hide.
Bates has crossed the line with me one too many times. He’s irresponsible and he’s…. he’s downright fucking selfish, you know. He feigns concern for the beaten down masses, yet he refuses to fight with Team WCF even though he fucking created it. He started this civil war, and refuses to take part of it. He was the man who escalated this to level that it has become. And it didn’t have to be this way.
When Pantheon returned they were a nuisance. They are going to do what they do before they all ultimately fight with each other and crumble just like every version of every stable has done. But he truly saw himself as better than everyone, and after War when Joey Flash invited his boys out Thomas Bates saw fit to come out and confront them.
Let them have their moment. I mean what the fuck, man, you think you’re better than anyone you step into the ring with, but you ain’t anything but a giant piece of shit in sheep’s clothing. I’m sick and tired of watching you go out to the ring every week with this shit eating grin, and this undeserved pride in your eye. You were a Champion elsewhere, but just like me you were a failure here… until we joined forces. It was me that brought the best out of you and you that brought the best out of me. People say that I rode your coattails but without me you would never have been Trio’s Champion - you would never have had that opportunity to fight Dune for the World Title, and without me you would never have finally ‘earned’ your World Title at Revenge.
We brought the best out of each other and at the end of the day you tossed me aside for the betterment of you. You refused to face me one on one and you threw me away like a piece of garbage to pin fucking Brent Alpine to win the World Title. Listen to that stat… you pinned Brent Alpine to win the World Title. Like the bitch you are you took the easy way out.
Then you went ahead and allowed Corey Black to get a title shot at War. And as I’ve said, when I saw that I stepped back. No one was more deserving of a title shot than he at that time, including myself. But I knew my time would come. But you didn’t do it in an effort to give the man what he deserves his just due; you did it because you were afraid of me. You did it because you knew that if you had to step into the ring with me one on one you would come out on the losing side of things.
You saw what many consider the old man of the WCF and thought that you could make a name for yourself by taking him out. You saw the man widely known as the greatest that the WCF has to offer and you thought that by picking up this ‘easy’ victory that you would be able to take over that mantle and call yourself the greatest to ever step foot in a WCF ring.
Oh how wrong you were, Tommy boy; because you are incapable of recognizing power when it stares you right in the face. You are incapable of understanding the widening array of possibilities that occur while fighting in the WCF… you are incapable of understanding anything that isn’t human.
And where your weaknesses lie my strengths occur. I can’t toss a man 40 feet through the air to eliminate him from competition. I can merely knock ‘em out with a swift kick to the head. I can’t summon a slew of biker fags to the rescue at the drop of a hat, but I can summon the demons of the underworld if I so find it fit. I can enter the dark and come out the other side brighter than ever.
I am sustenance.
I am fear.
I
Am
GULA!
Gemini finds himself standing on top of his chair waving his arms in the air as the newly formed relationship with Taylor Wright seems to be getting off to a terrific if not inauspicious start. Taylor seems to pay this no mind, as though he’s been present while a passionate orator pronounced his hatred over those he was set to destroy.
He stared down at his new friend, a man he felt an odd connection to. He wasn’t sure if he was a fellow Capuan or merely a fellow warrior but he knew there was a deeper connection between the men. He thought about Invidia’s return and what this would mean to his future. He thought about Grady and what his reality will do to Invidia’s.
But most importantly he thought about Helloween. He thought about being trapped in a cage with a maniac like Creeping Death and an outlandish monster hell bent on destruction with weapons hanging within reach at any moment and with death and destruction in the eye of all three men.
For many that’s a nightmare.
For Gemini… That’s home!
