October 18th Honolulu, Hawaii
The opening scene begins with a beautiful sight. The sun is rising at Kahanamoku Beach. The water flows in light waves across the glistening sand. Occasionally, a light treading of the sand is heard as a person or two walks by. During this time, two people are sitting just out of reach of the water. With the Alpha Title on his lap and Kaiyah on his right side, CJ Phoenix stares at the majestic view in front of him. He smiles at the light and life source slowly elevating itself over the horizon.
Phoenix: There's something about a sunrise that's just so peaceful.
Kaiyah: Yeah. Especially when you're at a beach. The waves are calm. The sand is soft. Nothing but the ocean as far as the eye can see. It really clears the mind.
Phoenix: Even in a world with so much evil and wickedness, it's such a blessing to know that there are still moments like this that show just how amazing this world can be. Kinda makes me sad that this is our last week in Hawaii.
Kaiyah: Awwww booooo. I really like this place.
Phoenix: Me too. That's one of the great things about being in the WCF. I get to travel all over the place and leave a positive impact on the people I come across.
Kaiyah looks at the Alpha belt resting on CJ's black and gold swim trunks.
Kaiyah: You've also been gaining attention for your title.
Phoenix: I know right.
He grabs the belt and holds it up with both hands.
Phoenix: Say "hi" to the sunrise, Alpha Title!
Kaiyah smiles as she shakes her head. After a moment, CJ puts his title back down. He then looks at the lady sitting next to him in her her black and gold bikini.
Phoenix: Alpha Challenge mixed with slowly, but surely, earning the respect of the roster. People actually wanna take this title from me. It's a belt worth having now. That means that when it's time for me to relinquish this belt for a World Title shot, there will be people hungry for their first gold instead of it just being RNG'ed to some rando.
Kaiyah: What if they're not ready to hold the Alpha title?
Phoenix: Then they won't. And if they do, it won't be for long. You see, no matter the title, there are two types of contenders: leeches and builders. A leech needs a title to make themselves feel relevant. A builder makes and keeps a title prestigious.
Kaiyah: So are the three guys challenging for your title leeches or builders?
Phoenix: Leeches. All of them for different reasons. For example, Kidd Krazzy. He's on a mission to rid the WCF of its filth, or at least the lowercard filth. That's good. He's got a purpose. He has heart and he has guts. All good things. Hell, he even has potential. The problem is the fact that Kidd's just not ready yet. He needs to know what it's gonna take to ward off the scum he claims to want to prevent from tarnishing the WCF.
Kaiyah: Well he does have the opportunity to develop himself.
Phoenix: Right. Kidd's got the chance to really EARN some battle scars over the next two weeks. He has not one, but TWO shots at me.
Kaiyah: Well, the first one's a tag match, so it's not as big a match, but it does give him and the other two guys a chance to share the ring with you...and vice versa.
Phoenix: It's actually more important than it seems.
Kaiyah: Go home show before the Pay-Per-View and a chance to get some momentum heading into it?
Phoenix cracks his knuckles before leaning back, placing his hands into the sand.
Phoenix: Precisely, and then some.
Kaiyah attempts to imitate the sound of Billy Mays.
Kaiyah: But wait, there's more!
Phoenix: This tag match at Slam will tell me a lot about this trio of opponents I'll face at Helloween. If these guys are really worth the opportunity that they have in front of them, then they will treat this match just as seriously as they will the gauntlet. This is where I find out how badly they want the Alpha title. I want to see if they have what it takes to step up to the plate when the Alpha Champ comes storming in.
A wave passes that grazes CJ's ankles. The water's cold, yet relaxing.
Kaiyah: Think Kidd will step up?
CJ nods his head slowly.
Phoenix: He needs to if he wants to be taken seriously at Hellimination. His untapped potential is like Johnny Evil's blind ambition. I'm glad that they're the two I'm facing.
Kaiyah crosses her legs as the light waves continue to advance across the sand.
Kaiyah: So you'd rather have Jason O'Neal as your tag team partner than Kidd Krazzy or Johnny Evil?
CJ furrows his eyebrows in disgust.
Phoenix: Ewwww. Don't say it like that.
Kaiyah: Why not?
Phoenix: Because that implies that I'd want to team with that imbecile willingly.
Kaiyah ponders this for a second.
Kaiyah: Yeah, bad choice of words there. Lemme try that again.
Phoenix: Have at it.
Kaiyah: In this situation, the best thing tactically would be to have O'Neal as your tag partner.
Phoenix sighs.
Phoenix: Yes. Tactically. That's the key word. Having him as a teammate is like running a 100 yard dash with ankle weights. If anything, he's a bigger threat to me as a teammate than he is as an opponent.
Kaiyah: Damn. Are you even worried about him at Hellimination?
Phoenix: Nope. He's the least threatening of my three opponents.
Kaiyah: No surprise there, I guess.
Phoenix: That makes Johnny boy the most dangerous by default.
The sky is no longer dark as the sun has completely risen. CJ and Kaiyah stand up and begin making their way back to their hotel room.
Phoenix: I can tell by his previous shoots that he's ambitious with a strong desire to win. He's like a bull charging at a matador. Unfortunately for him, all of his charging will only lead to a slew of "¡Olé!"s. I don't consider him a leech because of his talent because he has the talent. It's because him with this title would be a worse mix than oil and water.
Kaiyah: Or a cat and a dog.
Phoenix: CatDog. CaaaaatDog. Alone in the world is a little CatDog!
Kaiyah: I never quite understood the logic of that show.
Phoenix: It's a cartoon. They tend to give the finger to logic.
Kaiyah: I know. It's just...how does the whole bathroom situation work?
Phoenix: I'm not sure. I tried thinking about it, but it's one of those things that I'm fine not having the answer to.
Kaiyah: Oooh. Speaking of having the answer to things. What are we gonna do until Project: Satellite is complete?
Phoenix: Improvise. We'll come back here Saturday and do a mini-series.
Kaiyah: Works for me. What are we gonna call it?
Phoenix: Who knows. I'm sure we'll think of something.
By this time, Kaiyah and Phoenix have arrived at their room. After entering the room, they close the door and the camera fades to black.
October 22nd Kahanamoku Beach
There are more people here at the luxurious Kahanamoku Beach this time. It's just after 2 in the afternoon as visitors are enjoying this time in various ways. A couple of volleyball nets have been set up as a few groups of guys and girls alike are running a few games. Occasionally, there is a football or a frisbee being thrown near the water. Everything seems to be going pretty well...except for Phoenix and Kaiyah. They're having a bit of a struggle setting things up. The camera pans to our protagonists, where a foldable table lays on its side.
Phoenix: Dammit. Table fell again.
Kaiyah: That's because we haven't put anything on it yet. It needs weight to hold it down, just like these chairs.
Kaiyah places the chair on the sand and sits on it, but the unbalanced sand causes her to fall backwards out of the chair. CJ laughs hysterically.
Phoenix: You sure it isn't the sand that's the problem?
CJ takes Kaiyah's hand and helps her to her feet.
Kaiyah: Yeah I think it might be the sand.
They use the legs of the chairs to press through the sand until they're comfortably embedded. CJ sits on one of the chairs to test out their plan, and the chair remains still. Satisfied with their success, they do the same with the table. Once it's firmly planted, CJ places his Alpha title on the center of the table along with his phone on the other side. It begins recording the two after they've adjusted themselves.
Phoenix: What's up YouTubers! It's been a while, but I'm back, and I've got my ever charming good luck charm, Kaiyah, with me.
Kaiyah: Charmed.
Phoenix and Kaiyah look at each other.
Phoenix: So Kaiyah, tomorrow's the go home show before Helloween. Lots of people will be looking for momentum heading into the second October Pay-Per-View this year. First thing I wanna talk about with you is the Pantheon.
Kaiyah: Okay.
Phoenix: They've been riding a tidal wave of momentum every since they popped up at WAR. Is there a chance that they get slowed down on the way to the Hellimination match?
Kaiyah: If they do, I would guess that it would be from either Pomp and Bishop or Bates and Battle, especially the latter. Thomas Bates and Gemini Battle will be a part of the World Title Triple Threat match against Corey Black. A win over two Pantheon members would further solidify them as threats for the World Title.
Phoenix: That's true, but it also serves as a possible problem for them this week. Even though they were the Tag Team champions heading into the Ultimate Showdown match a few months back, they're gonna be opponents a mere seven days after being teammates this week. That might make them a bit of a dysfunctional team.
Kaiyah: Like you and Jason O'Neal?
Phoenix: I...think so. Yeah actually. You would think that two guys from the good ole Bayou Boot that is Louisiana would work well together and wreck shit. When he first showed up, I was like "Hey, he's from the boot too. I like that". Saw him in the ring and he's an okay wrestler. Dude's got moves. Then...it happened.
Kaiyah: What happened?
Phoenix: I made the mistake of sitting through one of his promos.
Kaiyah: Was that why you were throwing up for 45 minutes?
Phoenix: Yes. It was awful, and now I have to sit through even more of these mentally biohazardous vomit inducers. On top of that, I also have to go through promos of the guys I'm facing this week.
Kaiyah: Funny how you're shooting at your own tag partner.
Phoenix: Oh I'm sure he's doing the same. I've nothing against Kidd Krazzy. He'll get better...or maybe not. Maybe he'll fade into obscurity like so many former WCF guys that have come before him. As for Johnny Bravo, he's the guy that won the Battle Royal, so at the least, he's earned the right to truly call himself a contender. I know he's gonna show up this week, and he'll do so again at Helloween. This is where I see just how much they want to prove themselves. Of course, though I wouldn't be surprised, I'd be a bit bummed if I steamrolled these guys effortlessly before Helloween. I wouldn't even have to put in the effort, but with me being the workhorse that I am, I'm gonna run through them like a bowling ball through pins.
CJ looks at the camera.
Phoenix: You guys better bring your S+ game this week, because it's the only chance you'll have at scoring a win against me and my ball and chain ankle weight set of a partner. I'm gonna let you know right now, once these weights come off, not a single one of you have a chance of taking my title.
He picks up his phone and points it at a group of people playing football.
Phoenix: Just like how that pass has no chance at being completed.
The guy tossing the pigskin overthrows his intended target by a country mile.
Kaiyah: You...you gonna help them out?
Phoenix: Yeah. A lot of passes not being completed.
CJ cuts the camera off before catching another horribly overthrown pass. The camera fades to black as he shakes his head.
