OOC: I deleted a scene to cut back on the lenght of my RP #2. However, I'll never be able to use it again, so Im posting it here as a "leftover."
This scene took place before the carousel dream, but its another dream. I didnt feel 2 dream scenes back to back flowed well. and I like the other dream better. So heres the deleted section.
He opened his eyes and looked around wildly. He was still in main room, still sitting in his throne and the only light coming in was from the hallway. “All a dream” he thought. But he quickly realized it wasn’t as he looked to his left and saw a TV tray sitting by the throne with the food that Claire had cooked. There was a hamburger on the plate and some frozen crinkle cut fries, …he hated frozen fires. Frozen tater tots are acceptable, but not frozen fries. He touched the hamburger bun and could feel that it was a little stale. …How long had he been sleeping here, he wondered? He pulled out his cell phone and the screen lit up his face for the first time. He wore a white hat that was turned backward and his face was painted like a skull with white-out contacts in both eyes. He didn’t wear a shirt and the colorful tattoos that covered his torso could be seen around his chest and shoulders. 3:57am the phone said. Shep turned the phone off and set it down on the armrest of the throne.
He sighed and slumped back down in the chair, hearing nothing in the quiet house except for the faint ringing in his ears. It was still hard to sleep as he hadn’t gotten over losing the Tag Title match and couldn’t wait to take his frustrations out on the entire roster at War. It had been over a week since they had lost the match; and both Jason Cash and Crazy J had insisted it was ok because the future of Zero Tolerance was bright and success was inevitable. But still, he couldn’t stomach the thought of losing to Tomohawk and Cap WCF and he had decided to keep the frustrations and rage bottled up until War was here. Cash and Crazy J had told him to let it go and not to dwell on it. But he couldn’t help it...It was going to stay on his mind until he fought, and won, War.
Shep froze, not even exhaling his breath. He heard something…Or did he? He wasn’t sure. He let the air out of his lungs as he heard it again, and this time he KNEW there was something in the room with him. His body tightened in fear as his eyes scanned the room. The sound came again for a third time and he knew where it was. It was in the front corner of the room, hiding in the darkness where the hallway light didn’t shine. He strained his eyes and fixed them on that spot, as a faint noise came from that corner of the room again.
Shep stood up from the throne, putting his bare feet to the tile floor as quietly as possible. The noise came again, and this time movement came from the front of the room….Something moved from the corner, following the wall that led to the entryway. Little clicking noises came from that area on the tile floor, and every few seconds the clicking, tapping noise came again. Shep knew what it was. It was claws tapping the tile floor with every foot step. He started to shake, his heart pounding faster than ever and sweat beaded up on his forehead as it came into view.
A massive orange leg stepped out of the darkness and into the light that flooded into the room from the hallway. The massive tigers front half appeared in the light and froze, looking at Shep. He didn’t know what to do; he knew he had no way out with the tiger standing in front of the entryway. The tiger looked at him with its brown eyes, the mix of black and white patterns on its orange face stared directly at Shep.
Its long white whiskers extending off its face and Shep could almost count each and every one. The tiger swung its back half from the shadow of the room and now stood directly in front of him. Shep was still frozen in fear as the tiger slowly approached him. He saw the tigers ears pull back, its eyes narrow, and its gigantic teeth started to show as its lips pulled back into a snarl. Shep couldn’t take his eyes off four large teeth as the tiger opened its mouth and lowered its body. Shep knew what was going to happen next and the voices commanded that he RUN!! He took a step to the right and the tiger pounced.
It all seemed to happen in slow motion. He saw the tigers toes pull apart on its front legs as it flew through the air, the sharp claws grabbing most his attention as the tiger struck him. Shep went down to the floor with a loud thud and he let out a yell as the tigers paw landed on his chest and dug its claws into his flesh. He could feel one claw make contact with his collar bone and rigidly grind across it. It didn’t hurt as much as the bite did.
He could feel the tigers warm breath wash across his face as the tiger plunged his face down into Sheps neck. He could feel the teeth sink in. He could feel the strength of the tiger as it closed its jaw with his pink flesh and pulled back. He could hear his skin rip and felt the skin being torn apart as he reached up with both hands and grabbed the tigers face on both sides. He twisted as hard and as fast as he could and he felt the tigers body convulse for a second before it stopped and dropped all its weight on Shepard. Dead….dead…He had killed the tiger. He laid there under the tiger as his body began to slow down and the adrenaline rush wore off. He wasn’t sure how badly he was injured, and he hoped it was only a matter of seconds before Claire came in to call an ambulance as he passed out…
