Looked like nerves to me.
Id watch a fight vs a new opponent, and I think he'd do better.
Gall had no mercy though.

He did something he wanted to do and he seemed like he had fun, despite picking up the loss. I have no real thoughts on it past that, we all knew Gall was going to submit him, I just hoped there was a bit more stand up.
Still, looking forward to his next fight if there happens to be one.

It made me sad. I wanted him to win. I'm used to pro wrestling where besides from dudes who face Brock Lesnar, we don't get massacres like that in huge matches. I'm just not used to seeing Punk as a chump.
Happy for him as a person, I'll never stop being a fan, he's a once in a lifetime talent. And he's seemingly gotten laid by more famous women in wrestling than anyone in history so kudos to him.

I didn't know how much I wanted him to win until I watched the match, and I was pretty sad when he lost so quickly.

CM Punk stepped into shit that people have trained their entire lives to do.
He used his fame in WWE to literally walk into it, which steps on so many who don't make it there despite being a better fighter.

remember tho Brock lost to a no name 4th rate boxer whos claim to fame was he was a sparring partner to some of the big names ...... 3 months later he was champ

I can't feel bad for a guy who just made a million dollars and then gets to go home and get all types of sexual sympathy from AJ Lee.
The dude never has to work another day in his life if he doesnt want to.
Don't get me wrong, I wanted him to win because a) I'm not a hater and b) I got a lot of love for Punk going back years, he was one of the guys who pulled me back into wrestling after not watching for 15 years, along with Cena (yes JOHN CENA) and Daniel Bryan. And I just thought it would have been awesome if he proved all those people wrong but it turned out those people just knew what they were talking about and he was way out of his league lol. Then again, there are people who are official, legit MMA fighters who get beat quick like that.. it kinda happens all the time actually. Nobody is really giving Punk any credit for actually lasting 2 minutes with dude on top of him trying to kill him, he was defending that choke for a good while. And I'm sure 2 minutes inside a cage with somebody trying to kill you is.. a significant amount of time. I wouldn't last 10 seconds.
