I. Revenge
Mikey was after revenge on Henry Spearman for humiliating him by using the superkick against him at Ultimate Showdown. His own move did him in, and sent Mikey spiraling deeper down the rabbit hole.
Deeper down the rabbit hole.
Mikey found himself searching for Henry Spearman to prove to him that his superkick was superior and that his win over Mikey with the move was nothing but a fluke.
Deeper down the rabbit hole.
Mikey would get a one on one match with Spearman at WCF’s Revenge PPV with the winner landing the coveted last entry into WAR. Mikey somehow also wormed in a clause stating that Spearman would enter 1st if he were to hit Mikey with a superkick.
Spearman hit Mikey with a superkick.
Deeper down the rabbit hole.
mikey extreme: I should have won that match, Doc.
Mikey was talking to himself as he sat alone in the locker room shortly after the match.
doc: But, you did.
mikey extreme: No. I didn’t win that match, Doc.
doc: But, you’re entering WAR last!
mikey extreme: That doesn’t matter. I did not win that match, Spearman lost it, but I did not win. I did not get to get my REVENGE on Spearman. I did not get to make him pay for what he has done to me.
doc: But, he will have to enter WAR first.
mikey extreme: Because of his own stupidity. Because of his own doing. But he humiliated me again out there, and everyone is laughing at me. Everyone thinks that I’m some kind of joke.
doc: I assure you that nobody is laughing at you, that they wish they were in your position. They wish they could have the chance to enter WAR last, they they would have the opportunity to be the freshest man in the match the close to the end.
Mikey is having none of it. Each week he has fallen deeper into a paranoid state, thinking that everyone is laughing at him. Thinking that he is the joke of the locker room and he cannot stand it. He cannot take it.
mikey extreme: You’re a liar, Doc.
Mikey begins ro’cking furiously back and forth.
mikey extreme: You think you can lie to me? That I’m too stupid to see what you’re doing? I know that I am the laughing stock of this company. I couldn’t even beat Spearman with the superkick.
I couldn’t keep my United States championship.
I couldn’t win the hardcore championship.
I couldn’t win the television championship.
I couldn’t get into Ultimate Showdown.
I couldn’t win King of Death Match.
I couldn't even beat Henry Spearman at Ultimate Showdown.
What does that tell you, Doc? What picture does that paint? It paints a picture of a joke. It paints the picture of a guy who can’t get it done in that ring. I go out there week in and week out and I walk out with nothing to show for it. I walk out the butt of the joke.
I’m no laughing stock, Doc.
Deeper down the rabbit hole.
doc: I already told you that you aren’t a laughing stock!
mikey extreme: Fuck you.
He shrugged Doc off. There was nothing that Doc could say that was going to change Mikey’s mind or put him at peace. He knew deep down that he was talked about in the back and that he was being looked down on for his recent failings. He knew that he wasn’t where he should be, that he was being put in matches that were below his self worth.
mikey extreme: The fact that Henry Spearman even gets a match with me s a joke. HE RUINED MY chance at winning that television strap and punching my ticket into Ultimate Showdown.
He ruined my life and I will never be able to forgive him for that. I will never be able to live with that. I must get my revenge, I must take him out and take him down a few pegs. He MUST feel my humiliation. He must feel what it feels like, and until that happens I cannot rest. I cannot forgive him. I cannot allow him to get away with what he has done.
Mikey slams his fist onto the ground.
mikey extreme: He will pay for this. If I get my hands on him during WAR, he will regret it. He will regret staying in that match for as long as he could, only to fall just short by the hands of Mikey eXtreme.
He will feel that humiliation the same way I have felt it week after week. The same way he has made sure I have felt it, I will make sure he feels it.
Mikey screams as the scene begins to fade.
Blazin’
mikey extreme: Another day goes by and here I find myself having to get in the ring with Teddy Blaze. I must have wrestled Teo del Sol about a thousand times, and I beat him every time. I carried him when we were forced to tag together.
Mikey is sitting infront of the WCF cameras. He is barely making eye contact with anyone, and isn’t looking into the camera at all.
mikey extreme: But, Teddy Blaze took over. Teddy Blaze was able to luck himself into a victory over myself. He waited for me to do all the work. He waited for me to take out and destroy Brent Alpine.
And he humiliated me.
He made me look like a fool. He knocked me out of the ring and he took away a win that should have been mine. He took away a win from my collection. It’s his fault that I began to fall down the ranks of the card. It’s his fault that the locker room began to laugh at me. It’s his fault that everyone started to doubt me.
You were the beginning of my downfall, Teddy. You are the reason that I can’t face anyone in that locker room. You’re the reason that I have to fluff the card and fight guys like Psychopomp. You’re the reason that Dat Hawt American Darkness isn’t tag team champions. Because, why would Seth give us that chance if I can’t even win such an easy match? You think he’s going to trust us with the WCF tag titles?
This is your fault Teddy.
Slam will be the end of you for that. Slam will be the beginning of the resurgence of eXtreme. Slm will be an awakening, but it will be a final resting place for you, Teddy. It will be your doomsday as you step into that ring with me.
Do you think I’m going to let you get away with what you’ve done to me? I’m going to savor every minute of the beating that I bring to you. Each and every whimper that escapes you will be music to my ears.
You’ll try to use your speed and agility to best me, but it won’t work. You will be extinguished just like the rest of these morons in this match. You will meet your end, at the end of my boot. You will remember what it’s like to step into that ring with the REAL Mikey eXtreme.
You may have traded in that People’s championship, Teo. But, that internet strap isn’t going to save Teddy. That internet belt won’t do a thing to save him. It doesn’t change anything that he is a champion. It doesn’t change anything that he has something that I don’t have.
It only makes it worse.
I have no fear of Teddy Blaze. I know he is underestimating me right now just like everyone else, but he will pay for that. I have no fear of anyone in this entire company. I am more than what they take me for and they will ALL pay for this.
Bang, Bang.
Mikey is joined by none other than Hank Brown.
hank brown: Mikey, you have a big match coming up on Slam, its the main event and you’re taking on three champions. How does that make you feel?
mikey extreme: It doesn’t.
Hank Brown is already annoyed with Mikey.
hank brown: Let’s break it down, the current People’s Champion is Kevin Bishop, and he’s in this match. What do you think about him?
mikey extreme: I think he was a lousy United States champion. He helped destroy that belt that I spent all those days building. He took something that I held dearly, and made it into a joke. Then, he left it to die.
hank brown: But, what about this match?
mikey extreme: Hank, I don’t care about Kevin Bishop. The last time I stepped inside that ring with him, Dat Hawt American Darkness was walking out victorious. We put on the match of the week. We tore the place down.
Do you think I’m worried about Kevin Bishop?
You’ve got to be kidding me, Hank. The People’s champion? That belt means nothing to me because it represents these stupid people that fill that arena each and every week. It represents those morons that boo me because they can’t be me.
He’s their champion, Hank. He’s not my champion. He’s not even on my level. You think I’m worried about some guy who wishes he could have been in the same breath as me when it comes to that United States championship?
I chased people out of this company. I ended people’s careers.
Believe me when I tell you, Hank, Bishop is not even on my radar. He’s a god damn joke.
hank brown: and what about CJ Phoenix?
mikey extreme: Wait, who?
hank brown: The Alpha champion.
mikey extreme: The.. what?
hank brown: The Alpha championship. It took the place of the United States championship.
Mikey cringed.
mikey extreme: MY United States championship should not be spoken of like that. It should be treated with the respect that Mikey’s America deserves. Do you think someone like CJ Phoenix would stand a chance in MY America? Do you think I would have let him get close to my championship?
And now, now he holds a broken beaten down version of it. Now he holds a dead championship that makes me sick to my stomach. He holds a part of my past that should be honored, not ripped apart and forgotten.
He’s making a mockery of everything that I stand for. He’s trying to humiliate me by destroying my past with that joke of a belt. He thinks that it’s funny to make jokes at my expense? That he i better than me?
There is NOBODY better than Mikey eXtreme. There is nobody that can honestly say they are better than me.
I’ve run into a lot of bad luck as of late and that’s that. That’s all.
hank brown: You’re a little edgy today, Mikey.
mikey extreme: Fuck you.
Mikey gets to his feet and Hank Brown dives out of the way, expecting a superkick that doesn’t come. Instead, Mikey looks at him as if he’s insane.
mikey extreme: What the hell is your problem?
Hank dusts himself off and gets back to his feet.
hank brown:: Nothing, I was just expecting something different.
Mikey rolls his eyes as he begins to walk away. Hank turns to talk to crew members to make sure they've got everything when all of a sudden he feels Mikey tap him on his shoulder. He knows he shouldn't turn around, but he does. He turns right around into a vicious superkick that sends Hank straight down to the ground. WCF crew come rushing to his aid as Mikey begins laughing like a maniac.
