We're basically doing this on a step by step basis being as half of this party is unfamiliar. So we started out with choosing race/class. Now we're doing ability scores. Then I we'll do feats/skills etc. That will have to be done individually being as each class has their own set of special feats and such.

Soooooo everything was at an 8 before I even added anything. Do those count or do I use the 32 points to add to those?

So we basically helping each other creating our characters one step, one stage at a time? I know how to create a character, but this way is complicating. So do we that thingie to establish our STR AGI and so forth? Use up all the points?

You can absolutely make your sheet at your own pace of course.

I would be willing to help people create character sheets as long as they are okay with me knowing all their stats lol. I use a program called redblade, here's a result: The problem is that Redblade only generates HTML files, and thus what I had to do is copy and paste from screenshots of the end product, meaning that it is a pretty time consuming process lol. So basically you would have to Skype me all the details on your character, and then I would be able to create a sheet from that input. This sheet would only be shared with the user and with the DM unless otherwise requested. But please, it is time consuming lol, so make sure you're sure about your character before we get started. Here's a link to Redblade if anyone wants to check it out: home.redblade.org/It's also useful because it has a market and equipment screen, although we'd need to know our starting GPs too. It doesn't really provide information, you'll want to use the guides for that, but it's a good builder.

Keep me on standby if something should open up. Also, I'd check out Myth Weavers if you wanted a place to keep your sheets. It's www.myth-weavers.com.

And Sarah said this is something you could learn on the fly. For players, it's really not that bad. It's when you get into DMing that there is just so much more haha. Plus, even when you don't understand something as a player, that is what the DM is there for, to explain it.

I have NO clue how to do my sheet or what I should do next... I am completely lost. I mostly played MERP 25 years ago, and just occasional DnD.. And, I won't lie. I am really confused now. I feel like a bonehead.. And, I don't want to slow the play down because I don't even now how to read/complete a character sheet. You know what I mean? *sigh*

This should help for anyone who really isn't familiar. Use this is combination with the ability point calculator and you should be okay. Make sure you change your character level to level 5 and it will generate your skills points and available feat points for you. Also, starting GP will be ... 800. dnd3rd.sourceforge.net/

The standings so far:
Dwarven Rogue
Elven Rogue
Halfling Bard
Human Barbarian/Fighter
Need race/class from:
Lilith Jeff Purse Butcher
And I'm going to go ahead and say for this group, we'll eliminate Rogue as a class option since we already have 2. I mean we could have a third, but probably best if we don't.
Also like to mention we as of yet have no healer. Again you aren't required to have one. Just understand the risks of not having one are pretty great.
