Thursday, noonish? 40,000 ft above sea level, 525mph...
Doc is sitting in his Gulfstream on the way towards New York City. Though he preferred to let his brand handle itself, Doc still made trips to sit in meetings with his UBS managers and brokers.
Looking off into the clouds through his window, Doc poured himself a glass of his signature Moonshine. "So, it looks like it's going to be a good day today. I hope this meeting goes smoothly."
"I hate business stuff, honestly these guys could use a little more meditation in their lives..."
Doc simply smiled and turned to the man, "Master Ryushi, just admit it, you'd prefer a moneyless life where people do and share things because it is the right thing to do." Master Ryushi just smiles and shrugged as if to say, 'well, it'd work'.
"Yeah, I know...
Look, I'm all about giving back where it's needed. But damn if I'm just going to give it willy nilly. That's why I've had my people looking into this Lester. I don't know if this is some sorta cult thing, or if'n he's really helping people. Hence why I'm meeting with the people at UBS, I need to know if I'll be indemnified if things do not go well. His little compound and retreat could well use a nice donation."
The Shaolin master just shook his head. "Don't you think he'll see through these mind games?"
"What mind games? I'm dead serious, if this is legit, then investments like this are warranted and a good thing. Even if the guy doing it is some big ass nut job who is the big guy in a tag team with our People's Champion. Funny though, Lester's partner goes by the sobriquet of 'The Plague', and he spells his name Parish, not Perish..."
"Why would that matter, the guy is a huge mountain of flesh..."
Doc chuckled, "Come on, you know how wrestling works, imagery and recognition are huge parts of the business. For a guy to use the Parish spelling, even if it is how his last name is spelled, instead of the more sinisterly sounding, and implicating Perish kinda defeats the purpose of being a badass who is teamed with the plague. Everyone knows that the Plague of the dark ages went hand in hand with the perishing of the populous. Now that would have evoked some serious imagery for the Brotherhood...
Take guys like Creeping Death, Oblivion, and Zombie McMorris. Those guys' names alone invoke a certain level of fear and apprehension. Even Lester's team mate does this to an extent. However I look at Lester Parish and I do not get intimidated."
"But he's so big and powerful, plus he's scary looking to boot..."
"So is a whale shark. Big, powerful, scary looking, and could probably kill you as easily as look at you, but is a big oceanic puppy dog.
Lester's last name is indicative of a safe haven and home for the peoples of a church. Which when coupled with the safe haven he built on his farm actually fits... Until you look at what he is trying to accomplish in the ring as a destructive bad guy. Maybe that is the reason for the spelling. Don't know, but it's a bit off putting that this big softie is trying to be a bully badass."
"Oh, you mean a Heel if I got the term right?"
Doc nodded, "You could say that, honestly I think they could've gotten off to a better start naming themselves Plague and Perish. Though that woulda been easy to go into PP jokes facing them together. After researching him and J, well, despite his size and strength, I'm not worrying about him as much. It's true in a match like this that you cannot take anyone for granted. There will be all kinds of fists, feet, bodies and weapons flying around the ring. These hardcore clusterfucks are rife with all kinds of violence and bodily fluids that the odds of ZMac walking out still the champion are not very good. He doesn't have to be involved in the pin to lose, but for the others of us, well it's not as bad of a situation. Where we are looking to prevent others from making the pin, etc. ZMac has to literally watch everyone. I could, for example simply focus on one man the entire match, slowly and deliberately beat him down, do a rookie killing, or even just leveling Obli or ZMac. I'd wait for the right moment to roll their carcass into the ring for the pin. The champ can't do that, because just as soon as he thought he was safe, there is a pin and he has to break it up to keep the belt around his waist."
"But won't you be doing that as well?"
Doc nodded, "We all will, but where all we'd have to do is disrupt the count and go back to our beatdowns, Z has to take out the guy making the pin to keep him from just repinning..."
Doc is interrupted by the pilot's voice, "We are beginning our decent and final approach into Teterboro Airport. Please take this time to secure all loose items..."
"Well, we can finish this at a later time..."

After an uneventful landing, Doc's jet taxis to it's assigned spot on the Tarmac. There waiting is a large black limousine and the driver is standing ready by the back open door.
Doc and Master Ryushi walk down the steps as the driver smiles and welcomes him to the New York/New Jersey area...
