'Sup roughnecks.
So we had a decent leak in my basement the other night (big rainstorm and flash flood), and we are looking to figure out how to get the problem fixed, if we even can get it fixed. Still working on the RP, but if for any reason I drop off for a day or two, that's what's going on. This house is becoming a shit show...

God. The same thing happened to me. It's awful. I had laminate flooring and I had to redo the whole basement.
Generally you have to find the points of entry, look for any cracks in the wall. Or if it came through the windows. Sometimes it's just something you have to deal with or fucking redo the entire foundation
I had a raised foundation and they did a shit job so at the seam water would flow in from even a snow storm melting. So shitty. Luckily I'm out of that hellhole.

Flood damages are messy and costly, even small ones. You have my sympathy man.

The good news was that it leaked from the ceiling and we caught them right away, so the damage is pretty minimal; just staining on the ceiling tile and a few spots of water on the carpet. Its just that the leak came from eight different places.
