I'm running out of ideas, and motivation for Nathan Chambers. It's like I reached a block where I can't even roleplay for this week, and it's frustrating me. Like I seriously don't know what do because I've never been in this position before. Apologies to everyone in the match but I'm seriously on the verge of banging my head on the wall every time I think of Nathan Chambers. What do I do?
It's like in other feds, I'm in. It's perfect. Nathan, something is missing. Has anyone ever dealt with this?

Yeah, I was handling a character a few months ago called Emeka Nnamani. I was happy with the idea - a young millennial struggling for identity. He was torn between his strong Nigerian heritage, his metrosexual post-modernist moral relativistic flamboyancy and the pain of growing up homeless and around domestic violence. It turned out that this was too abstract and I couldn't connect enough with it on a personal level.
I went back to Alpine because he's probably an amped up version of some fucked up aspect of my personality.
Hope you're able to get back on track because I like your work.

I for one like Nathan Chambers and his perfection shtick, I think where you are at right now is good shit, come on man you lost the title you were building up and you failed twice at capturing the world title... You should be pissed and unhinged. Your mother should totally be belittling you even more now. Right now you feel like imperfection and that should fuel you to claim it all back. Plus you have a tag partner who is going to leave you with tag titles on your own...
An idea is to defend them in handica matches where you force your opponent's to write an RP together to go against your own... Just an idea

Have him hit his head and wake up thinking he's Andre Holmes. Boom. Problem solved.

Have you considered going for a different title?
8 months as People's champ had me kind of blase lol. (Tried to correct it to Blaze).
Maybe you're getting a bit of Groundhog Day? Maybe go for the TV title and try to do the best possible RP in under 2000 words?
A change in the creative process might be good for the old ticker. Don't try and write a world champion RP every week until you can feel like you can handle it.

Nathan Chambers thinks he's perfect right? Wouldn't he think that he can't lose? Meaning, that even though he has lost, he could be thinking that he's been winning and has an undefeated streak? Maybe even painting a Toy Store WCF World Title belt pink and calling it his new World Perfection Championship?
Just some ideas. I know how hard it is to come up with new ones after a while.

It happens. Happened to me with Neforian. I had this great idea for a character who is the embodiment of other peoples evils but it just ended up being far to different from myself to come up with a continuing story. So i wrote a ten week story that turned him into something a bit more easily managed.
Try introducing co characters as well. I was having a really tough time just coming up with a new monologue every week. I have introduced two side characters and will be introducing a fourth one shortly (probably this week). It has made it alot easier to come up with ideas. Each character has his own personality and they play off each other

You could have a co-character who plays the "straightman" to Chambers. Abbott and Costello this up.

I've turned Henry into the straight man and his friends are the misfits. I just started writing my first roleplay with the group. I'm 1500 words in and haven't even started the shoot portion. Really a breathe of fresh air

Working the delusional angle could probably help Nathan. As a heel, he doesn't want to own losses and can probably come up with all sorts of reasons that he REALLY didn't lose the matches he was in. I felt when you broke out Chambers that he was going to be a gold mine with lots of overall potential regardless of direction. I still think that is the case.

As a point, 'Perfection' is a hard angle to post for long term, just because you've cut your wrists in character development. The best way around this is to create 'out of wrestling' imperfections that are getting in the way of his strive for perfection. The character needs something to improve upon to help round him out and to keep long term posting more active.
Or, just add in a secondary character that is so imperfect you have the duality of opposites to play with. Sorry my response took so long, but I had to think about what would best suit the character.
