::The scene opens to Jordan Ciserano sitting down on a couch in the green room of the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He is looking at one of the many TVs in the room that is turned on to ESPN 3 where they are talking about WCF’s “The Ultimate Showdown.” Jordan turns the TV up to hear what they are saying about the show, after listening to the analysis on the main event of every champion going up each other when Jordan mutes the TV shaking his head, he turns to the camera and begins to speak in a slightly annoyed tone::
Jordan Ciserano: All this talk about “The Ultimate Showdown;” who the champions are, where they’re from, how they got their start in wresting, when they got the title, past matches leading up to winning the title, but yet I haven’t heard a single word about my upcoming match against Greg St. Matthews at that same show. Not a single mention of myself or my opponent because one mega match is taking up all the media attention away from what could be the best match on the card. That said, I’m not asking for much, a little here a little there and I’m happy. Let the champions get the attention they deserve but also let a future champion get what he deserves as well.
Jordan Ciserano: The lack of coverage does have some pluses to it though, Greg and I can now have the match of the year and blow everyone away leaving them thinking “how didn’t we predict that” or “where did that come from” two results I’d be very happy with. Due to the lack of coverage I am able to steal the show, take it from where it is and boost it up higher than anyone thought possible putting my name on the map in WCF and putting my name in any and all talking points in the future. I can take this show and use it as a great opportunity to launch myself to where those champions are gaining more than any talking head thought I could. The lack of coverage has missed something quite major though… That something major being my first win back in WCF!
::Jordan stands up from his chair and starts to clap for himself, because there is no one else in the room it is only him. After a few seconds pass of clapping he slowly stops, looking around to see if anyone is near the room, and starts to clap again excited about his achievement.::
Jordan Ciserano: Jordan Ciserano, in his second match back from all around the world, won his first match against not one, not two, but three other wrestlers! That match, oh boy it was a great one. It was one of those matches you can look back on and say “damn I look good” something I’ve taken the privilege in doing several times since then. Three other men, three similar but separate strategies formulated from my mind and executed by my body to take them down. I don’t think I’ve felt that good in the squared circle in a long time; people cheering, fans chanting my name, commentators excited to see what would happen next, and, at the end of it all, I won.
::Jordan points at himself with both his thumbs and puts on a huge grin, so big that you can nearly see a sparkle of light shine off of them when he does.::
Jordan Ciserano: If you can’t tell I’m proud of myself, maybe a bit too proud, but proud none the less. Everything that I was saying leading up to that match, all the hyping, my story, my motivations, it was all shown in that performance. Winning titles around the world, traveling as far as I could and wrestling as much as I could to get better at the sport, using all that gained knowledge since I left WCF to my advantage and showing those three other men how a champion wrestles. All of that is what I wanted, all of that I got not because of anything else but myself.
Jordan Ciserano: In past times, this would have all been possible through a stable, a stable that I relied on for support in and out of matches. Since I’ve returned I’ve had to show that I know how to fight here without them, without someone to lean on when I was weak. My last match showed that I can fend for myself erasing all questions of if I’d be good enough as a singles competitor with no outside interference… another thing to be very proud of, something the media and the locker room should be taking note of. That said, I can tell you somebody in the WCF locker room saw this, and he must have felt a bit threatened that he would be overlooked after that fatal four way match, that man was my opponent last Slam, and is my opponent for “Ultimate Showdown” Greg St. Matthews.
Jordan Ciserano: After my amazing performance and flawless victory, Greg delivered what seemed to be a completely accidental superkick. If that was truly the case, that he waited just a bit too late a stuck me I would’ve been fine with it, he wanted to win and he wasn’t going to stop until he knew that the match ended. Hell if I was in that situation I would’ve done the same exact thing trying to break up the pin and keep the fight going… it’s what he did next that prompted the thought that he had that little bit of fear. He got on the top rope and jumped, wanting to hit me, wanting to hurt me, so that he retained his place on the card. Something incredible happened instead…
::Jordan looks at the camera straight on::
Jordan Ciserano: I ROLLED OUT OF THE WAY!
::Jordan stands up from his chair and takes a giant bow in each direction. First to the camera, then to his left, then back, then right, back to the camera for one last giant over-exaggerated bow. He holds his hands up high with a giant smile on his face winking to the camera before sitting back down, feel up, proud of what he did.::
Jordan Ciserano: Yeah, all of you probably thought that I was lying about that strategy, that I could never actually pull it off after getting hit with a big enough move to knock me down, but it bloody worked didn’t it? You bet your ass it did!
::Jordan laughs more at the camera in a more exaggerated way than the bows before it. He looks around the green room and laughs at each object in the room before composing himself trying to get back on track.::
Jordan Ciserano: Sorry about that outburst, it just feels damn good.
::Jordan smiles one more time and then fully composes himself.::
Jordan Ciserano: So after my personal victory roll, he decided to challenge me. Now I don’t know about you, but when someone who just tries to challenge you, you have to be a bit hesitant… not scared or anything, just best if you think things through when the emotions die down a little so I left it up to Seth. Apparently Seth either thinks this will be match of the night as I do, or he wants to see some flippy shit along with rolling out of the way for a good twenty minutes. Personally my money is on the second one, but I still have hope that the first can come true without all the flips and rolls.
Jordan Ciserano: I do have that hope too because after that match I think I struck some sense into the self proclaimed “adrenaline junkie.” I think that after I won that match and after I rolled out of the way he realized that he can’t pull off some of the things that he may have pulled off against other opponents. He can’t do Moonsaults, 450’s, and Phoenix Splashes against me, he has to stay on the ground for the majority of the match or he’s going to get beat pretty quickly. He’s going to try it once, land himself on the mat and into a submission and then he’ll be done for the rest of the match, and most likely the rest of the month.
::Jordan makes a flipping motion with his hand, starting from the ground and going as high as his arm can reach before slapping it down with his other hand.::
Jordan Ciserano: I feel a bit bad for the guy though, he’s in a real “Catch 22,” dammed if he does, dammed if he doesn’t. He goes high flying he finds himself in a quick loss and a tough submission, he stays on the mat he exposes his weakness and plays to my strength giving me a huge advantage and a better chance to win the match. No matter what he does, he’s at a huge loss, it’s just a matter of how good he wants to look while in this predicament.
::Jordan slicks his hair back before his next works.::
Jordan Ciserano: Myself on the other hand will have no problems looking good in this match. I’m feeling fresh, I’m feeling loose, I’m feeling confident, I’m feeling the best I’ve felt in a long long time. I’ve see Greg in action, I’ve got to wrestle him and I managed to beat him. Now I get to wrestle him again, one on one this time, but that just means he has less people to hide behind before I get to him. I know his style of wrestling, I told all of you how I was going to stop it and I did, so unless he decides to learn and master a completely new style of wrestling within the two weeks between shows, I don’t think the odds are in his favor for this match.
Jordan Ciserano: I know this is going to be worn out by the end of this event but at “Ultimate Showdown,” there will be one. Not three, not two, not for a championship, not for any special prize, not for a number one contender spot, not for any reward but knowing you are the better man and that better things are to come in your career. Before Slam, I made it a goal of mine to show three other wrestlers how a champion fights, this week my goal is to add onto that and show how I could fight as a champion.
Jordan Ciserano: In this match, I know there is no specialized perk, and I’m fine with that, because when I win this match against Greg St. Matthews; the media, the suits, the crowd, fellow wrestlers, everyone who is anyone and knows someone will have no choice but to recognize that I deserve to be higher on the card with some gold around my shoulder. I’m not asking to be given that opportunity, I’m giving all of you the reason why I deserve that opportunity; I’m proven, I’m skilled, and I win. At Slam it was against three men, at “Ultimate Showdown” it will be against one, next week it could be against five, but the results will remain the same until and after you see me with gold on my shoulder, my name in the lights, and my face on TV… that result is victory.
Jordan Ciserano: I have my plan ready, I have my strategy proven, I have my motivations set. Greg St. Matthews, you challenged me after trying to hurt me, now only two things will hurt, your body and your ego. This match marks the continuation of a journey, a journey that has been on a slow rise for years, boiling until it’s too hot to handle. This match marks my way up, through a ceiling that was set years ago, and into new heights. When looked back upon, this match will be know simply as one thing, a turning point, where I go up, and you my friend goes down.
::Jordan points up to the ceiling then down at the ground::
Jordan Ciserano: I am going to win this match. I am going to dominate this match. I am going to win this match, I am going to out wrestle you in this match. I am going to win this match. I am going to out strategize you in this match. I am going to win this match. I am going to rise in this match. I am going to win this match. No matter how hard you hit, no matter how much I fall I will win this match, I will elevate myself, and I will be seen as a championship contender. Best of Luck mate, and Best Of Luck to your flips as well.
::Jordan smirks and winks towards the camera with all the confidence in the world that he will be the victor in this matchup. He keeps that pose before saluting one more time at the camera motioning it to turn black.::
