hey guys I'm writing to make a few things known. As you all know I was robbed at work last weekend, since then I've lost my job due to a "policy violation" that occurred during the robbery. So after Ultimate Showdown. I'm going to be taking a hiatus for a few weeks to get my shit all back together. I'm sorry for any problems this might cause. ML&R

You can get fired for breaking any company policy. None of us know or should know what happened during that tragic event and I'm pretty sure not one of us are Lawyers. Best of luck and come back soon.

I think we all know we aren't lawyers (except for Bates) or the circumstances of the issue, or if he lives in an 'At-will' employment state where you can be fired for no cause, but.. There is nothing wrong with brainstorming, offering words of encouragement, and also offer possible resolutions to a shitty situation to a fellow brother of WCF. I mean, really? That had to be said? FYI, Bates, I was thinking of going 'all-in' also..even at age 41. I am thinking about getting my law degree. I have credits towards business law, and plus ALL my electives were in Criminology. Currently, I just have a BS in Finance, and was working at Corporate HQ of the U.S.'s fifth largest bank. But, being in that near-fatal hit-n-run accident, and now having permanent vertebrae/neurological/spinal issues... The bank illegally let me go, and working on my own EEOC case against them (as well as my child custody & support case) without a lawyer. I am working with PA's Office of Vocational Rehab for disabled people that can/will work (like me.) And, part of it is tuition assistance to go back to school (which I am strongly considering.) Good for you, Bates!! |

Dude, so sorry about losing your job. That sucks considering it resulted from losing your job. Seems stupid. You got robbed. Unless you didn't follow protocol, you shouldn't been fired. Well good luck with your search.
