Okay, so I don't want to make my debut for while. For more reasons than one, but above all, I want to get a good grasp on the way things work around here before diving in. That being said, How do debuts work? Like, is a rookie just put into a match on the SLAM card for a debut? Or can there be a story line with it or what?

Unless you tell Seth otherwise he will book you. He will see that you've posted your application and assume you want to be on the show. So if you do wish to wait, it's best to send him a message before he puts the card together. That usually happens Monday nights during or after WWE Raw.
As for debuts, most new people get put in a match with other newcomers. It could be a singles, tag, or a mass "clusterfuck" match depending on the circumstances. There isn't any storyline beyond that usually.
Hope that helps.

That being said, How do debuts work? Like, is a rookie just put into a match on the SLAM card for a debut? Or can there be a story line with it or what? You can message the owner (Seth) personally, and explain your circumstance (as much or as little detail you want.) And, explain you want to debut later.. If you know when you are ready, give him a date (cards are ran every Sunday.) If you don't know as of yet, that's fine, just let him know you will message him personally when that time comes. The next Sunday's card is usually posted on Monday or Tuesday, by the latest. No fueds, rivalries, etc. are needed for debut. You just need to complete a roleplay for the RP board. Create a thread, and go from there. They just re-posted 'tips' on how to RP under the OOC section (I believe.) That's your out-of-character section for tips, general BS, etc. Internet board is used like a 'promo' or small spots for character, but the RP is what is used to judge who wins/loses. I hope that helps. Good luck & welcome to WCF.

Actually, that helps a lot! Thanks dude. And after closer inspection, I'm okay with just being thrown into the ring, pun intended.
