Dateline Newark, New Jersey: Wrestling Championship Federation's World Champion Stuart Slane was spotted Friday in the company of the young woman known to the WCF Galaxy as Miss Esther. Esther, a licensed nurse and former missionary, was a member of WCF Television Title holder Brent "The Shine" Alpine's "Earth Moon Son" wellness team before being abruptly terminated last week for undisclosed reasons.
There has been a history of animosity between both the Slane and Alpine camps prior to this meeting. It began when during the WCF Classic tournament, when Stuart Slane was able to pin The Shine as the result of an outside distraction instigated by a known confidant of Slane's, pig right's activist Circe Cicero. The following week saw Slane attacked backstage at Slam after competing in a tag team match. The individual behind this assault is still unknown, but rumors abound that it was likely Percy Macro, Mister Alpine's mysterious benefactor.
It is unknown at this time the purpose behind the rendezvous between Mister Slane and Miss Esther. Sources say the pair met at Newark's trendy Burger Walla restaurant for lunch, and that the mood at the table was described as "convivial". WCF News has contacted both Stuart Slane and Brent Alpine for comment, but have yet to receive a reply. The two champions are in Newark to participate in WCF's Sunday Slam broadcast.
