The scene opens with Captain WCF walking down an empty street on a clear, warm Pennsylvania evening. A WCF cameraman and interviewer are following the along with the Captain for this little jaunt. Captain WCF’s smile behind his red mask shows that he’s happy, like a man that knows his purpose in life.
Interviewer: “Captain, thank you for the invitation to join you for your stroll this evening. You picked up a win last week in an exciting triple threat match, which gave you some much needed momentum leading into your big pay-per-view match against Sarah Twilight at Blast, live tomorrow night from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Are you nervous about participating in such an important match at this point in your career?”
The Captain chuckles a bit as he strikes a superhero pose, staring straight into the camera.
Captain WCF: “Captain always nervous before any match. But I always believe that I can win match and I made sure to prepare for such tough opponent.”
The interviewer nods and looks down at her notes.
Interviewer: “Now Sarah Twilight has been around the WCF for quite some time with a much decorated history, including being the first and only female champion in WCF history. What do you think it’s going to take for you to beat her?”
Captain WCF stops in his tracks and stares up into the sky for a moment.
Captain WCF: “You see star up there?”
The Captain points at the sky, possibly at one of the millions of stars visible.
Interviewer: “Um, yes?”
Captain WCF: “Captain always reaching for star, trying to become better, stronger. Tara Litebrite has already reached for star, she already know what it like to be above all. The Captain is hungry; want this big win more than Tara Litebrite. I need win to show everyone in world that Captain WCF big name in company. Tara Litebrite already show world this, she have nothing left to prove.”
The interviewer continues to stare at the stars for a moment after Captain WCF is done speaking, not realizing that he has finished answering the question.
Interviewer: “…Oh um, yes, very good. Do you think that Tara, sorry, Sara will underestimate you going into this match?”
The Captain rubs his chin as he thinks about the question.
Captain WCF: “Captain think that Tara may underes-ti-mate him, but I not underes-ti-mate Tara. I know what she do in past and that she one of best wrestlers in WCF. I train very hard for his fight and I not let people down, just like I not let them down in any other match.”
The interviewer smiles at Captain WCF’s endearing demeanor.
Interviewer: “So Captain, what would you say is your key to victory in this match?”
The Captain quickly stops in place and does a punch-kick combination.
Captain WCF: “Captain key to victory is to use speed and surprise, Tara Litebrite won’t be expecting Captain to have skills. I also have super hero power Tara Litebrite not have. I use devas-ta-ting martial arts moves and take out Tara Litebrite, HI-YAH!”
The interviewer hides her face for a second in and attempt to shield her laugher from Captain WCF.
Interviewer: “Ha, well Captain good luck at your first pay-per-view match tomorrow night, I know you’ll have a lot of people pulling for you to win.”
The Captain strikes another superhero pose, this one with his arm raised in the air.
Captain WCF: “Yes thank you, I try best and reach for star for fans all around world to win this big match. I will win and become star because of their help and my skills...BANZAI!”
The WCF cameraman and interviewer shake hands with Captain WCF and begin the walk back to their vehicle. Meanwhile, the Captain decides that he’s going to continue his walk through the mostly silent streets to continue to mentally prepare himself for his match. As Captain WCF walks by himself, he thinks of all the people now involved in his life that got him to this point. He thinks of his family back home in Japan. He thinks of Imperial Emperor Overlord of WCF, Seth Lerch, that first brought him into the organization. He thinks of all his friends at the Next Level Martial Arts dojo, that have helped him bring his fighting prowess up to par. He thinks of all of the fans he has now from the matches that he's been in. The thought of all of these people that matter to him overwhelms him for a moment, and the Captain speaks out loud to himself.
Captain WCF: "Wow Captain, so many people you need to make happy. But you can't let them worry you. You need to go out there and do what takes to win match, just like you did last week. Tara Litebrite is good, but she not hero of the people. That is you Captain, you're the one all fans cheer. You're the one who been going out there and showing the fans what it takes to be big star in wrestling. Tara Litebrite's star now twinkles, her time to shine past, it is time for new star to take her place and that is you!"
As Captain WCF has his personal moment, a black cat leaps out from the shadows and makes the Captain jump back a little.
Captain WCF: "Ha ha yes, I have to be quick and surprising, like cat!"
Just then, the cat turns around and a pit bull appears out of nowhere, giving chase to the poor, mismatched feline.
Captain WCF: "Oh but I can't forget to use power, Tara Litebrite may be strong, but she not super hero strong like me!"
As the Captain scans the area, attempting to locate the animal pursuit, he spots a 'Trump for President' sign.
Captain WCF: "And yes, I need to keep WCF Galaxy on my side. Trump upset many people, just like Tara Litebrite upset WCF fans in past, Captain never do that to fans. I love all fans and they all love me! I use their power to help me achieve dream win in first ever pay-per-view match!"
With his confidence at the highest level it could achieve, Captain WCF begins his walk back home. He was as ready as he was ever going to be.
Captain WCF: "Tara Litebrite, you shine bright, but the Captain shine brighter. I expect good match, but in end, the Captain will be getting his hand raised in victory!"
