I just try and use context over length. A depth of meaning or entertainment value or something to compensate for shorter posts. I do this mainly because of how much I work, and how little time I have to do this, and I want this to be fun for me. This is part of how I unwind. You can't unwind when you post 10k+ on a very tight schedule. Remember to do it because you love it. Not because someone else does it. Stay true to yourself in what you love about doing this.

This is nothing. Back during the last Stable Wars, we were cranking out 20,000+ word Roleplays. I know I broke the barrier, so did The Game (as another character), and several others. Several of us might as well have been writing novels. ICE Beckman was well known for doing at last 20,000 every roleplay. To be fair, those high word counts just happened. I wasn't aiming to put out that many words in the roleplays, though I did have a lot to say about my opponents, combined with the stories told with the character I was running at the time and the group I was a part of. As an unintended consequence, I put out quite a few RP's with a high word count. The worst part about the whole word count thing was how many people got upset about it, though other people had been breaking said thresholds for so long. Yet nobody had issues with it until said Stable Wars happened and certain people started to shine as a result of the hard work. I still felt like because we happened to break said thresholds we were ostracized for it, which was total bullshit. We worked hard on those roleplays, only to get shit on for it. So yeah, having a high word count will probably just lead to getting shit on by the members of the fed, in general. At least, that's how it was about a year ago. Hope that if people do start in on the higher word count roleplays that others will keep those feelings to themselves. Nobody likes having their work shit on because they have a lot to say in regards to their opponents and/or their stories. I know I sure as hell didn't appreciate it.

You can rest assured that if you write 10 thousand words against me, I'm not reading it lol.
Roleplays to me are supposed to feel like either a vignette, an interview, or a short promo. They are supposed to kind of be something that could air on a TV show. If you've got a 15 page script with multiple scenes and plotlines it just seems excessive and outside the scope of what I would consider a true roleplay. Not that it's wrong to post long roleplays, just that you won't ever really see me doing it. I tend to keep the story or vignette portion of my rp to about three pages and then my shoot is 2-3 pages.
I will say though that the fact that we have guys who post novellas as roleplays contribute to developing an actual "world title divide". What I mean is that there is a clear cut divide between the main event scene and the undercard and guys have to actually decide to put alot more effort into replaying if they want to be the world champ. I like that. It gives you the choice of kinda deciding for yourself where on the card you want to live
That's not to say someone who writes five pages instead of ten CANT win the title, only that it's less likely.

If you tend to write short role plays the world title belt is likely going to be out of your reach under normal circumstances, especially if it's being defended at a PPV, when people are allowed to post 3 rps. But the People's and Internet Titles don't require high word count posts to win. And if WCF does bring back the Tag belts one of the things I think would help the division would be a word limit on role plays for contendership matches and title matches. It would be a way to encourage collaboration among people in the fed too.
