So it wasn't as good as some in the past but still a great show as always
Ty Dillinger is way over.
The tag team match stole the show, though I could have gone with one less tandem showmanship move in the beginning. I marked the shot out at the post match stuff.
Nakamura vs Aries was good. Not as good as nakamura vs Sami zayn but that's just my opinion.
The women's match may be the match that brought this whole show down. They're very slim in the women's dept and Asuka can't carry nia kaz through a match yet
Joe vs balor delivered as always. Great psychology. Great wrestling. Great entrance and great ending. Can't wait to see where they go from here.

Dillinger is the one guy they feed new people to because he can make anyone look amazing.
Tag match was great. Little sad they dropped the titles but hey main roster can't be too far away with brand split looming. Not to mention the chemistry between those two teams is amazing and they have yet to put on a bad match.
Aries and Nakamura put on a decent match. Still not Zayn vs Nakamura good (Match of the year I think thus far)
Jax needs to be more polished before getting high profile matches. She could work on her selling a bit more as well. But I do agree it was a down point of the show. Asuka did what she could to make Jax look strong and still win. But if they're going to sell us Jax as a beast they need to build her up more.
Balor and Joe was great. Wish it had a little more time.

I think they need to move Tye out of the role he's in. He's too over. La Sombra (I still can't remember wtf his new name is without looking it up) risked having his debut hijacked because the fans love Tye so much and don't want him to just be a jobber to the stars. If they want to debut a heel against him that's one thing but even so, I think he's someone they need to move on up to bigger things. Especially because I feel like they should try pushing one of their homegrown guys instead of the indy guys just a little - didn't expect myself to be saying that ever.
Other than that Naka/Aries was my personal match of the night, Nakamura doesn't really need help being a big deal but I thought it was a great showcase for Aries since it seems like he hasn't gotten the attention he deserves.

I disagree. As a more-than casual fan but not anyone who was into JaPanese wrestling, the way they're treating nakamura is perfect. AustinAries is way over in the states with the crowd they're targeting. Having him and nak put on a clinic like that, and even more so with Sami zayn wm weekend is perfect way to showcase this guy and make sure he doesn't fall victim to funaki itus.
Granted he's way better than Kung funaki but you get my drift

It just seems like everywhere I go Nakamura is the talk of the town - he was clearly more over at Full Sail too - he's probably the most over guy in all of NXT, besides maybe Finn, and that's just because Finn has been there longer. Aries has never quite had the same hype as someone like Samoa Joe and he was close to getting lost in the shuffle with Nakamura. This match made sure he didn't, but putting him with Nakamura it made sure he was relevant. I mean, he beat Baron Corbin before Mania and Corbin never even got a win back IIRC, so it really shouldn't have been an issue, that should have told us they were planning on making him a big deal.

Aries and Finn should get into a program unless Finn is called up. Clearly Joe vs Nakamura at Brooklyn. Hopefully Peyton Royce and Billie Kay get used more. NXT has a bright future.
Also PAUL FUCKIN ELLERING

Am I the only one who likes the Revival? I am a sucker for old school, cut the ring off, heel tag team wrestling They're also very good heels, so if you're the only ones that like them, it's because they're doing their jobs. I kinda like them but they also have the same issue Blake and Murphy did with me - they just LOOK like jobbers. I spent a decade saying looks shouldn't matter but they don't stand out without a significant amount of focus put on them. So I don't know. They're obviously talented but I would have never guessed they were talented enough to become the first 2x Tag Team champs in NXT history unless it was just because AA is getting the call up.

Best heel tag team I've seen since the golden age of tag team wrestling in the late 80s when there were Demolition Rockers Brain busters Conquistadors Power and glory Killer bees Strike force Hart foundation Powers of pain Fabulous rougeou brothers Do I need to name more?

As a mark, seeing Paul Ellering wander out and nod at those big SOBs instantly legitimized them in my eyes. That guy has a history everyone knows and he hasn't made a dozen and a half returns or appearances, so for him to put stock in these guys it feels very important. I'm looking forward to where this goes.

Also PAUL FUCKIN ELLERING Heard the crowd was chanting "Who are you?" towards him. God, I hope that's not true.. I haven't been able to watch it yet, maybe I'll get around to it tonight.

No no, they were chanting that at the two big SOBs who came out of nowhere, surely. We know nothing about who they are.
