This is the majority of the problem with you, Thomas. You think you represent the greatness which can save this nation, but I know that it is beyond saving, especially with your soft stance on the hard issues. If there is talk again of secession, then let me go on record as saying every single one of those speakers is definitively insane. You do know the definition of insanity, don't you? Secession failed before, and it would fail again. Don't you know anything about history? If we do not learn from our history, we are doomed to repeat the mistakes we made before. You think you represent the greatness which can save this nation, but I know that it is beyond saving, especially with your soft stance on the hard issues. If there is talk again of secession, then let me go on record as saying every single one of those speakers is definitively insane. You do know the definition of insanity, don't you? Secession failed before, and it would fail again. Don't you know anything about history? If we do not learn from our history, we are doomed to repeat the mistakes we made before. Secession is a historical mistake, and to attempt it again would be pure folly. You, my friend, are stuck in the past, yet you know so little about it. You say I need to learn from history, when it fact it is you that could benefit from a lesson. The Secession of 1861 was successful, but so too was the Conquest of the Confederacy by the Union. Does this mean that secession should cease to be a tool in the hands of the States dissatisfied with the corruption of the National government? Secession is not a failed concept, Mr. Riddik, it is a concept used time and time again in the course of human events. Our own ancestors seceded from the British Empire in 1776, and again from their own government in 1788. Not to mention the history of secession on a global scale, of which includes your beloved Norway which dissolved their own Union with Sweden in 1905. No, Mr. Riddik, Secession is not a historical mistake, but rather a necessary tool in the arsenal of Liberty. Men are born with certain unalienable rights, and when a government deprives the people of these rights, it is the duty of the citizenry to throw away the chains of oppression and either change their government, or withdraw its consent for the government and entrust such consent with another. I do not expect you to understand liberty, nor do I expect you to understand the laws of this once great Nation, nor Mr. Riddik, do I expect you to understand the history of humanity. You claim that your way benefits the human race. How so, Mr. Riddik? You wish to throw away the chains of slavery from one, and transfer it to another. I wish to throw away the chains in its entirety. You take the beating from the liberal elites and seek your revenge in the name of “benefit” rather than seeking a lasting balance to secure the liberties of all humanity. How dare you step up to me as though you have a superior knowledge of the history of my great nation, or any of Greater Scandinavia! Either way, you are barely even correct, as the combination of Norway and Sweden was much different than that of the United Kingdom and the Thirteen Colonies, and especially that of the Union and the Confederacy. That was a personal union with the King of Sweden having but diplomatic control over Norway, not unlike the puppeteer Soviet state and their Eastern Bloc satellites. Norway had the freedom to its own army, its own navy, its own parliament, and many other rights, while Sweden protected it from the imperial aims of imposing neighbors like Britain or Russia. This union should have been expounded upon, not dissolved, and it would have had not the damn Danes been so stubborn. Secession does not solve problems, it expounds upon them. How can one group of people claim that they are leaving an unjust government for the greater good, and yet leave the people they do not take with them to the whims of said unjust government?
Secession is the coward's way out, I assure you. Instead of actually doing something about the government you oppose, you opt to seek the protection of another government, such as Britain and France in the Confederacy's case, thus weakening the "once great nation" you claim to weep for the destruction of. You dare try and tell me that I do nothing for my cause? If only you could know, boy. Thomas, I've done far, far more than you could ever imagine. While you pour your sweat in the early morning hours under the desk lamps as you write your manifestos for the political restructuring of the United States of America, I have shed my blood, my brothers' blood, my sisters' blood, and the blood of those who dare oppose the future of shared prosperity at the expense of their personal power and greed.
Tell me this, Thomas, do you honestly believe that you can achieve any kind of change whatsoever through the political system of America? Are you fucking stupid? Do you know why I'm voting Trump, Thomas? It's not for his promised political reforms, it's not for the change he aims to bring to this country or the reformation of the global balance of power he speaks of. Most certainly not, for he will be able to achieve absolutely none of this. I am doing it for two reasons. On one hand, I am doing it for my own personal amusement. The rage he brings out of social justice warriors and the sniveling subhumans inhabiting this country is extremely entertaining. More importantly, however, I am voting for him to take this country one step further towards its destruction. This country, my friend, or what's left of it, is beyond saving through any means the people who live here would accept. Because of morons like you who cling to the solutions of the past (or failed solutions such as secession) as though they are a god given truth, the future of humanity will stagnate and fail to achieve progress beyond the inevitable decline in which we are stuck.
To break away from the monarchy, what did the founding fathers have to do? To break away from the Union, what did Lee have to do, eh? Take Risks. Innovate. Find new ways to do things, because the old ways aren't working. It is said that the downfall of every great nation is inevitable. Why is that? Almost every nation in the world today has been the subject of absolute destruction at one time or another. France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, every Balkan state, Turkey, Russia, Spain, Poland, Denmark, and the list goes on and on. Every one of these nations has been forged anew from the ashes of the fires which consumed them entirely. Whether it be from enemies foreign, or domestic, the future of humanity has been shaped by the implosion of nations which collapsed under the unbearable weight of their own failures. Not even the good ol' USA is immune to these issues. Four, four presidents, assassinated. One civil war. Countless physical attacks during election years that were politically fueled. The problem must not be lack of freedom, nor the right amount of freedom... It's too much freedom.
The way I see it, it doesn't need to be this way. There are ways to govern a people for their own good, and for the good of the nation, but this has never been attempted in the history of humanity. No matter what, there has never been a single perfect nation which was willing to sustain every one of its citizens, from the poor, to the rich, to the leaders, to the soldiers. I know why, though. It's because that is impossible. The freedom to choose what you want to be is nothing but an illusion. In the government's eyes, we are all equal, and we are all equally worthless. The problem is, the "government" does not only include those in positions of political power. In fact, in many cases, it includes very, very few of said demographic. In reality, with all the smoke cleared and the mirrors shattered, the governing body of all nations is the rich. Currency drives the whims of nations, for their benefit and their demise. You fight, without knowledge of it, for the profit of those in power. There is absolutely no difference between the leading democrats, the republicans, the libertarians or Jeffersonians of whatever else. They are all profiteers using you like common house tools, and you are too stupid to know that. I know that things have to change drastically before the human race can accomplish true prosperity as our forebears wished us to have. I refuse to let a pissant like you stand in the way of progress. |
