Stuart Slane was released into the care of a Wrestling Championship Federation representative after displaying "concussion-like" symptoms during the June 5th broadcast of Slam. The WCF Classic finalist was attacked twice after his scheduled tag match. The first assault took place in the ring and was instigated by one of Slane's tag partners for the evening: Current Hardcore Champion and WCF Classic finalist Nathan "Perfection" Chambers. Mister Slane left the ring under his own power and was on his way to the Santander Arena locker room when he was ambushed and severely beaten by as yet unknown parties. He was found unconscious and suspended from the ceiling feet first with an apple forced into his mouth. After being lowered down Mister Slane was examined thoroughly by WCF Medical staff, who agreed not to transfer him to the local Reading hospital if he remained under supervision for tonight and reported for additional tests Monday morning.
At this time it is unknown who is responsible for the second attack, but given it's close similarity to an earlier incident involving WCF wrestler Steven Orbit and the camp of Brent Alpine that occurred before the pair's scheduled Television Title Contender's Match, it seems possible that they also played a role in Mister Slane's condition. WCF News has reached out to representatives of Mister Slane, Mister Orbit, and Mister Alpine for comment, and is waiting for those parties to respond.
