I like how after he knocks out jimmy Ellis, and the ref stops it Ellis raises his hand like he wins. That's how out of it he was.

In my city. his hometown, we are actually petitioning the powers that be to put up a statue of Ali where they removed a confederate soldier one on UofL's campus. Best man to ever come out of Louisville.

I am okay with a statue of Ali. I am okay with a statue of Union soldiers. I am against the removal of flags, monuments, and graves of Confederates. Just because you don't like a part of history doesn't mean you should tear it down.

And let the arguments begin...
RIP Muhammad Ali. You taught me that tremendous footwork is the key to winning fights.

I can agree with this statement My view is since they're already set on taking it down why not put something decent in its place.

It is politicians who are set on the removal, as well as a lot of people with no regard for history. No historian supports these measures. Those that claim to are not really historians. Polls have shown that the majority of citizens are also against the removal. Our government is doing the same thing that the Soviet Union did, same as Nazi Germany, and the same as ISIS. It is a shame, and a crime against humanity.
I have worked to errect monuments for both Confederate and Union soldiers. They both deserve to be remembered. Striking their memory down is an act of oppression against their descendents and history itself.
