I've been thinking about this all day.
Match: Main event MVP: Reigns
Dude stepped up to the plate and worked his ass off with one of the best pure wrestlers in the world in AJ Styles. Roman sold his ass off, looked like a badass, and had a hell of a match. Sure Styles made him look better than he is, but the point is he was operating at 1000% and fuckin killed it last night. It was his best match ever IMO.
I'm not exactly on the bandwagon so to speak but Reigns kicked ass last night. If their plan is to stick him with amazing opponents until he is turning out matches like that all the time, I think they're doing the right thing. Dude gets an A+ from me at Extreme Rules and I'm someone who was ready and prepared to shit all over that match.

Dude gets an A+ from me at Extreme Rules and I'm someone who was ready and prepared to shit all over that match. The match also illuminated to me one of the reasons I don't like him overall - he REALLY doesn't have a diverse movepool. He did in this match, for the most part, but he had to pull out stuff we don't see him use often. I'm sure there's an argument to be made that having cool moves to pull out for big PPV matches is a good thing, but when your entire moveset every other week is boring, there's a problem. Even his finishes aren't particularly good looking IMO - Superman Punch is fine, the Spear kinda isn't. They both feel like they should lead to a better finish and be used as trademarks. To be fair, I don't like the Phenomonal Forearm as a finisher either, so whatever. The Springboard 450 works better for that. I'll give Roman his due when he can have matches with shitty opponents and make them look good like AJ and DB did for him. But he can't. The Roman vs Sheamus matches were flops, but I can guarantee AJ could pull something worthwhile out of him.

Intercontinental Title Match.
Styles/Cesaro/Reigns/Rollins.
Styles and Roman had a much better match than they managed at Payback, even if it was a glorified spotfest. Rollins run in at the end was probably the saving grace there. I'm glad Roman's able to hang in there with guys like Styles, I mean, he didn't look fantastic but he still managed to make AJ look decent. Cesaro had another good showing in the fatal 4 way, but in defense of the others, everybody was on pretty top form and I'm just a tad bias towards him.
