Aftermath
I. The People
It was a battle of the people. The People of Mikey’s America, and, well, Mikey wasn’t sure what people were behind Teo Del Sol or the past People’s champions, but they were defeated none the less.
Who are these people that Teo Del Sol represents? Mikey eXtreme was laughing at them. Laughing that they would choose such losers to represent them. Mikey had beaten his former foe in a People’s Champion vs United States champion match in the past and had once again beat the People’s champion. It was obvious that they could not hang with the King of eXtreme, the American King.
So what makes them important? The fact that the people like them? The same mindless morons that cheer all these worthless wrestlers that fill the roster. The same mindless morons that buy into anything that you sell them. Mikey wasn’t impressed. In his eyes, there was nobody on this roster that stood a realistic chance against him in that ring, and he continues to prove it.
Mikey was not one to rank the championships, though he was the most important champion in the WCF. Each week he would prove to the WCF galaxy that he was more of a hype train, each and every week he would destroy anyone placed in his path.
Look at his track record, it speaks for itself.
Mikey joined the WCF and was quickly sought out by Thomas Uriel Bates to join up to help create one of the most dominant, albeit short lived, stables in WCF history. The Dark Riders Gang rose up the ranks capturing their share of championship belts. Mikey eXtreme rose through the ranks of the DRG being named the Vice President, second in command to Thomas Bates.
Mikey quickly became the United States champion finding himself at the top of the cards with the Kaz Mazys, Scarecrows, and Jay Omegas. Mikey was beginning to steal the show so soon in his WCF career. He fought and clawed his way into Ultimate Showdown despite losing the United States championship, and it took three men to eliminate Mikey. A trios superkick delivered from Jay Omega, Alex Richards, and Scarecrow.
Three men, two former people’s champions and a former World Champion. Had the three of them not teamed up at that moment, Mikey would have gone far. Mikey would have done his best to win Ultimate Showdown and there would be nobody to get in his way. Mikey would have soared above everyone else in the WCF and would be worshipped by all.
Things got personal and Mikey was viciously attacked. Scarecrow took him out of action, sending Mikey crashing through the announcer's table. Doctors ordered him out of action, and WCF would not clear him to compete until the doctors signed off on it.
Months would go by before Mikey would get that okay and to do so he went through David Sanchez and Raymond Hatcher. He clawed his way back to the United State title picture and found himself in the ring with former Dark Rider, Gemini Battle. There was something different about Gemini, he wasn’t there. Instead, in his place, was an imposter. The fans were being fooled, the WCF was being fooled.. But Mikey would not fall for the ruse.
He took the belt away from the fake Gemini Battle only to find himself up against Chelsea Armstrong. All the damage that the Dark Riders had done to Pantheon during the infamous Stable Wars of 2015 was coming back to Mikey as he would put the final nail in the coffin. Mikey, along with Zombie McMorris would join forces and Dat Hawt American Darkness would defeat Chelsea Armstrong and Jeff Purse, setting the stage for Mikey’s battle with Chelsea at the biggest pay per view of 2015, One.
Open up your history books and you can find Chelsea Armstrong’s last day. December 27, 2015. Mikey made sure that nobody would doubt him again. Mikey did everything in his power and he ended the career of Chelsea Armstrong. He damn near ended the life of Chelsea Armstrong. Why? Because he could. Would he do it again? At any given chance.
He moved on.
Bernard “Common” Core felt that he was the man that America deserved. He thought that the American PEOPLE would be better off with him as their champion. He challenged Mikey to a deadly version of a flag match. Best two out of three falls, where the first fall gave you the opportunity to use a weapon. In their cases it was a steel flag pole and a kendo stick.
Mikey brought his intense style and love of violence to Core to the point that Bernard Core began to question himself. He began to question his career. If Mikey could be this ferocious and violent, if Mikey could smile and enjoy all the pain that Bernard was bringing to him, was this something that Bernard wanted to continue to do? Mikey would defeat Core, and in doing so would make Core decide to retire from the world of professional wrestling.
Two pay per views, two United States title defenses in a row and Mikey’s opponents had both found out the hard way that Mikey eXtreme is the real deal. That Mikey would go to all lengths to defend and keep that United States championship.
Mikey ran into a hiccup, he dropped the belt to Vengeance. Did he give up? Did he run from his problems like many have done before him? No, he went back and he ripped that belt away from Vengeance. He would have a flag match with Vengeance where he reclaimed the United States gold. Vengeance? Well, he would decide that maybe wrestling wasn’t for him. He would retire the following week.
Three challengers in a row and Mikey had forced them to retire. Mikey had made sure that their sacrifice to the dark lords was official. They would not be seen again because Mikey owned their souls. Mikey was the greatest United States champion the country had ever seen.
But yet, the people select guys like Scarecrow and Teo Del Sol to be their representation. Mikey was better than the people, Mikey eXtreme was the King.
II. America: Land that I love.. In Canada?
Mikey eXtreme: Where the hell are we going?
Mikey was upset and sick of being in Canada. He was the United States champion after all, he didn’t care about these idiots.
vidalia: We’re going to Toronto, I believe.
Freakshow nodded his head.
Mikey eXtreme: Are you fucking serious? Canada still? When do we get to return to the greatest nation in the entire world? Mikey’s America. The Land of the free because of me.
Mikey laughs.
Mikey eXtreme: No, but, really? When the fuck do we get out of this dump? Being outside of MY country has been terrible. How am I supposed to enjoy everything that makes America great if the WCF forces me to be in the hat?
Honestly, do these Canadian idiots even deserve to watch me wrestle? What makes them worthy of watching a United States title match? I’m not the Canadian champion, I’m not Lance Storm. I’m Mikey Fucking eXtreme, American to the bone.
But yet, here I am, driving through Canada. Defending the greatest championship in sports, the WCF United States championship. Here I am, about to take it to a WCF “legend” and an up and comer.
Mikey rolls his eyes.
Mikey eXtreme: I’m not even kidding, this is the shit I have to do for an INFERIOR country? This is an insult to everything that I stand for. This is an insult to the American way. This is an insult to apple pie. This is an insult to baseball. This is an insult to ALL things American!
As the American King, I must do something to make a stand. But most importantly, I cannot lose this belt infront of those Canadian scum. I can’t let America look bad and I sure as hell can’t let it happen for the world to see. I cannot let the world laugh at America.
Freakshow honks the horn at someone ahead of them and flips them off as he speeds around to pass them.
Mikey eXtreme: Fuck this place, man. Just fuck it. There’s a reason that no Canadian hockey teams made the NHL Playoffs this year. It’s simply because Canada sucks. You ever see a year where no American baseball teams make the playoffs?
vidalia: Are there Canadian teams?
Mikey eXtreme: Well, one. And it sucks too!
Mikey laughs.
Mikey eXtreme: What good ever came out of Canada? This is the home of Jay Omega, a man that cost me a victory in Ultimate Showdown. Believe me, I will never forget the pain that he helped cause me. I will never let a Canadian get the better of an American. It’s disgusting.
There is no better country than Mikey’s America..
III. The Orbit
There are not many people in the WCF that Mikey eXtreme chases, but Steve Orbit’s single United States title reign lasted for 161 days. A title reign that Mikey eXtreme was chasing when Vengeance got in the way and ended it at 98 days. But that doesn’t mean much for Steve Orbit, if Mikey can’t match him in days, he can sure show the world there is another way in which he is better than Orbit, and that’s violently in the ring.
Mikey eXtreme: One hundred and sixty one days.
Mikey was sitting in his hotel room talking to himself.
Mikey eXtreme: The man held my belt for 161 days. MY belt.
Mikey’s eyebrows paint an angry picture.
Mikey eXtreme: I will go down in history as the longest reigning United States champion. Steve Orbit does not get to take that away from me. Steve Orbit does not get to be over me when it comes to MY United States championship.
The American people deserve better. Fuck, I deserve better.
Mikey lets out a sigh.
Mikey eXtreme: Now, now he thinks he can insert himself back into the United States title picture? He thinks that he can muscle his way into my world and that I’ll budge? He thinks that just because he was one time the staple of the United States championship scene that he stands a chance with the true greatest United States champion?
Mikey lets out a small muffled laugh.
Mikey eXtreme: The day that I let Steve Orbit reclaim this title will be the end of America. It will be the day that America, as we know it, falls to the ground and crumbles. It will be the day that I have been fighting against since I liberated this championship from the ones that don’t deserve it. The day that I saved America from the downfall that it was headed towards.
Steve Orbit will not be able to stop that. He will not be able to foil my plans and ruin the America that I am building. No matter how hard he tries, there is nothing that he can do to upset the plans I have set in motion.
Steve Orbit does not represent America, he is everything that’s wrong with this country. A pimp? What kind of role model is he? The future of this country cannot be put in his hands. That kind of filth and immoral behavior cannot and will not be the future of Mikey’s America. We have to fight against this, we have to rid this country of things like this. We have to keep Mikey’s America alive.
We can’t let some pimp take control.
Mikey looks deep into the camera.
Mikey eXtreme: But, there is another reason that I must defeat Steve Orbit. I must prove that I am the best. I must prove that I am capable of beating the very best that this company has to offer.
Orbit has done it all. The World title, the hardcore, the television, the tag title.. He has high acclaim from all these idiots in the back. The entire roster riding this guy’s dick. Oh, he’s a legend.. Oh he’s the best.
A legend?
Do we really throw that word around so easily? Sure, he’s held the belts, but how can you be considered a legend if you haven’t beaten the best? How can you be considered a legend if you haven’t beaten the King of eXtreme? When I started this journey, 17 years ago, I had one goal in my mind. I was going to be the very best (like no one ever was). This goal has led me on a journey, bouncing back and forth from federation to federation looking for the best of the best.
I heard that WCF was supposed to hold those “bests” but then I find the Steve Orbits, the Logans, the Jonny Flys. Guys that everyone talks so highly of. I hold victories over Logan and Fly. Soon, I’ll hold a victory over Orbit. The so called legends of the WCF will all eventually for before me.
Do you know why? Because I don’t only claim to be the best. I am the best. Ot only am I the greatest wrestler that this federation has ever seen, I am the greatest wrestler that has ever laced up the boots. You put me in a category above the rest, and if you don’t, I will bring you to a world that you’ve never wanted to find yourself. I will bring you to my ring where you will learn first hand the tenacious and ferocious style that I bring.
My goal going into Aftermath is to force Steve Orbit to hang up the boots. Just like Vengeance, Bernard Core, and Chelsea Armstrong before him. He’ll become just another statistic in Mikey eXtreme’s book. He’ll become just another shmuck that thought he could hang with the best and then realized his definition of “best” was drastically different than mine.
Steve Orbit is nothing but hype.
He won his first world title by pinning an injured Sarah Twilight. That’s right, not only did he win that title by beating a woman, but she was injured. He couldn’t have a more embarrassing win if he tried, and the outcome? He lost that belt just as quickly as he was gifted it. But he won it back, I’ll give it to him. He beat a bunch of nobodies: Waylon Cash, Oblivion, Jayson Price? Come on! I could have beaten these guys in my debut clusterfuck. He gets this match for a world title? He held the belt for a while but come on, with the names he beat for the belt I’m sure there were none better in the hunt.
But that’s all Steve Orbit is, lucky.
He held the Hardcore title because he was beat in Ultimate Showdown. That’s right, he lost the match and was awarded a championship. Sure, those are the rules of the match, but he did not win that belt. It was yet another gift.
The Television title? His two reigns can barely be called that. He won the belt, and lost as just as quickly. He won it back quickly, and then lost it just as quick as he regained the strap. Two jokes of title reigns. And this is your WCF legend? Come on!
How did Orbit win the United States title? He was awarded it for losing Ultimate Showdown. That’s right, your longest reigning United States champion was awarded the belt because of a loss. I’m starting to wonder how he held the belt for so long.
Add the tag titles to the list of belts that Steve Orbit shamed. If it wasn’t for Zombie McMorris there would be no credibility at all.
Thats the legendary Steve Orbit, huh? I guess it's not that hard to be considered a legend around here. He's on the same level as Shiro. He's a nobody that somehow someway has gotten people to think that he matters.
I mean, really, do we want Orbit in this picture? What happens to the legacy of one of the all time WCF greats once I beat him? This match only serves as a way for me to prove once again that I am the greatest. This match just lets me burn through the WCF past as I blaze my way as the WCF future.
Goodbye, Steven. You've had a hell of a run. Now it's your turn to run, now it's your turn to go into hiding because I'm coming for your soul and I won't be happy until it's added to my collection.
The scene fades.
The Ride
Its been a long time, almost too long.
Mikey eXtreme stood in front of his custom DRG motorcycle, a smile adorned his face. The memories of the Dark Riders brought Mikey to a place that only few things could. It was one of the few times in his life after his parents were murdered that he can remember having fun.
Though, this also brought him memories of a friend that was no longer with us. Bryan Payne, Mikeys childhood best friend who got caught up in the ongoings of the Dark Riders, ultimately being murdered in retaliation.
The memory of Bryan’s head in that box the night of the DRG party in Mexico still haunts Mikey to this day. His best friend was gone and Mikey always blamed himself. Why did he introduce Bryan to this world? Why did he have to bring Bryan into the DRG? Sure, Bryan is an adult and the decision was his alone, but Mikey will always blame himself.
He should have saved him.
Mikey doesn't even know how it happened. Just one moment, Bryan was missing. Mikey didn't think much of it, they weren't joined at the hip. Perhaps he was joined to someone else's hips. It never would have crossed his mind that a Mexican drug cartel would kidnap him and kill him. It never dawned on him that a prospect would be targeted.
They were cowards. Too afraid to go after the big guns. No Bates, no Gonzo, no Gemini, no Anderson, and certainly not Mikey eXtreme.
That was their biggest mistake. Mikey would swear revenge and with the Dark Riders Gang, they obliterated the cartel. Mikey would take the final blow as he slices the blade through the leaders flesh.
Mikey eXtreme: I haven't ridden this baby in so long.f
The days and nights the DRG spent together riding to and from venues built a team dynamic that could never be matched. The Dark Riders weren't just a team, they were a family. Together, they were unstoppable and over the course of their run, they proved it again and again.
With the Trios tournament around the corner it was only right that the ominous road of their bike's would start to rumble. It was the Dark Riders who won the tournament last year becoming the first Trios champions.
Though, those Defilers of Logic consisted of a slightly different grouping of the Dark Riders, this year Mikey would fill the shoes of Gonzo, who was lost not too long ago. Mikey would dedicate his participation this Trios to the late member and a true friend.
Could Bates and Pierce recapture those belts? Mikey was sure he could make up for the imposter playing the role of Gemini and he was sure that he could fill those mighty shoes of Gonzo.
But Trios could and would have to wait.
Mikey eXtreme: I have a country to fight for.f
Mikey climbed on top of the bike and started it up. It roared like a beast forced awake from it's slumber. Mikey grinned.
Mikey eXtreme: The DRG will ride again but in the meantime I have things to take care of.
Orbit and King will get the full force of eXtreme.
The scene fades.
Hank Brown does the Batusi
The scene opens to find Mikey eXtreme sitting next to an agitated Hank Brown.
Hank Brown: I dont know why I even bother.
Hank was almost at his breaking point. It seems that Mikey is starting to get the best of him.
Mikey eXtreme: Because you're American, and you must find time to speak to your king. It is your duty as a citizen of Mikey’s America to worship me.
Hank Brown: That is not my American duty, Mikey. That is the exact opposite of what this country stands for. That is the exact opposite of what our ancestors fought for.
Mikey laughs.
Mikey eXtreme: What You don't understand, Hank, is that I dont care what this country was founded on. Principles mean absolutely nothing. I won this country fair and square. I am your king and if I want you to do the Batusi than you will do just that, because I am your supreme leader. I am your King, and I am your American hero, Hank Brown.
Hank Brown: You can't just win this country in a match, Mikey. That's not how anything works. Did you even go to school.
Mikey eXtreme: What kind of asinine question is that? Have you been hanging out with Bernard Core? Did I even go to school? Is that the kind of question you should be asking the leader of your country.
Hank Brown: Well, yes. That is a very important question that everyone in the country deserves to know about the person leading them.
Why should we trust a dimwit.
Mikey's blood boils over.
Mikey eXtreme: Do you dare to disrespect the King?
Hank realizes the path he is going down and tries to backpedal.
Hank Brown: I mean no disrespect Mikey, I am just trying to figure out what makes Mikey’s America so great.
Mikey’s breathing is slow and loud.
Mikey eXtreme: You think that you can trick me into forgetting what you said? I’m no mental midget, Hank. You’re not going to pull the wool over my eyes.. Or ears, in this case.
I thought you were here to ask me questions. Did you abandon that to personally attack me?
Hank tries to speak, but Mikey doesn’t give him a chance.
Mikey eXtreme: Do you know how unethical that is? Do you understand that you have a job to do? Ask me a question.
Hank Brown: What are your thoughts on Steve Orbit?
Mikey eXtreme: He’s a piece of shit.
Hank Brown: Oh, come on! The language, Mikey! This is for TV!
Mikey eXtreme: Bleep it.
Hank sighs.
Mikey eXtreme: You know what, Hank?
Hank Brown: What?
Mikey eXtreme: You’re going to do the Batusi.
Hank laughs.
Mikey eXtreme: You’re going to do it, now.
Hank Brown: Don’t be ridiculous, Mikey.
Mikey eXtreme: Are you testing your king?
Hank looks into Mikey’s eyes and can see that Mikey is not joking around. He begins to Batusi.
Mikey eXtreme: You’re a fucking clown, Hank. But, this proves my point. Do you see how quickly I was able to control you, and make you do my bidding? This will be the same thing that I do in this match. I’ll pit Orbit and King against each other. Let them finish what they started last week on Slam, and then, I’ll slip in and I’ll take the win.
This United States championship is going no where, Hank.
Mikey gets up and storms out of the room while Hank slowly stops doing the Batusi.
Ethan “is no” King
The Pride burst onto the scene rather quickly. Mikey didn’t put much stock in them, they weren’t that special in his eyes. Childhood friends trying to make it in his world, trying to make a name for themselves in the WCF. They could do just that, but there is no way in hell that Mikey is going to let that happen with his name. Mikey will not play part in that rise.
As luck would have it, Ethan King would find himself up to the plate. He earned himself a shot at the United States title by not being able to defeat an opponent. Yes, Mikey has to defend his United States championship against two losers. Orbit, who lucked his way to just about every title reign he has ever had, and Ethan King who couldn’t even put away the “legend.”
Should Mikey have the night off? You’re damn right. He has no time to fight these unworthy opponents. But, he’ll step in that ring and do it anyway. Why? Because he loves being in that ring, more importantly, he loves to dish out violence. Ethan King and Steve Orbit are going to feel like they’re in a match against TXO and TVO, a violent and eXtreme onslaught is coming towards them.
Mikey eXtreme: I’ve been thinking of the right words to say for the better part of this glorious morning.
It was 7:30 PM, and Mikey was sitting on the edge of his hotel bed in a robe and slippers. Underneath was his wrestling gear. Mikey didn’t own much clothing.
Mikey eXtreme: But there aren’t enough words to express my disappointment in this match. It was clear to me on Slam that these two were not cut out to be in MY match. They were not cut out to be in any ring that I am nice enough to grace for these morons that watch the WCF.
But, here I am, being forced to do battle with the both of them. Here I sit, the greatest United States champion that has ever lived, and I have to step inside that ring with two guys that couldn’t get the job done last week.
That’s right, while I defeated the current People’s champion, these two could not get a victory. That’s the difference between me and them. I get the job done. I am a true King.
Ethan King can change his name, as far as I’m concerned. He is an embarrassment to all Kings. Jerry “The King” Lawler, King Louis the XIV, King Mikey eXtreme.. Hell, he’s even an embarrassment to that fat slob from the King of Queens.
I almost feel sorry for the kid, I’m sure it went straight to his head last week when they told him that a draw was just as good as a win against someone the caliber of Steve Orbit. I’m sure he thinks that he is now a better wrestler because of that draw.
But, what he doesn’t realize, is that Steve Orbit is so far below me.
He couldn’t beat Steve Orbit and I’ll tell you right now, he will not beat me. HE will not even come close. Vengeance got lucky when he beat me. Vengeance got lucky when he pried MY United States championship away.. But that won’t happen ever again. This title will not be taken from me again. This title means everything to me. This title is who I am.
Who is Ethan King?
A scared child who hides behind a mask. Why do you think he hides? Because deep down inside, he knows he is a failure. He knows he will never live up to the hype that surrounds The Pride. That’s fair, but, he won’t ever live up to that hype.
Hell, after I get done with him, he might not even be alive. After I get done with him, whatever remains of him will have to be shipped to his parents.
”Dear King Family,
It is my deepest regret that inside this box is the remains of your son. He lived a short life, and I’m sorry I took away any potential grandkids. But, on the bright side, hopefully this is the end of the King family line.
Sincerly,
A True King
Mikey eXtreme”
Mikey laughed.
Mikey eXtreme: You know who Ethan King reminds me of? Teo Del Sol. They’re virtually the same exact person, well, minus the championships of course. But, they will both share another similarity, they will be defeated by the United States of Mikey’s America. Teo is already a victim in my book, and I’d love to add Ethan King’s name to the list.
He thinks he is the future and he couldn’t be any further from the truth. He’s just the latest flash in the pan. The future does not matter. The present is all that matters. I am your present day United States champion and I can guarantee that I will be holding this belt WAY into the future. I can promise you that once I get done with the lifeless body of Ethan King, that his future will consist of feeding tubes and hospital bills.
Does the WCF cover hospital stays?
Mikey shrugged, he didn’t care.
Mikey eXtreme: It’s a shame, Ethan King is so positive and happy. Yet, he has no idea what is instore for him. He has no idea what lurks around the corner. He doesn’t realize that the end is near. He doesn’t realize just how good I am.
He might be a King by name, but I was bestowed my title by the Dark Lords. Ethan King is just another sacrificial lamb. Throw him into the pile of names I will forget once I thoroughly destroy them and leave them for dead in MY ring.
God Bless Mikey’s America.
The scene fades.
((OOC: Sorry for the lack of quality. Very, very busy week.))
