After his disappearance only a matter of months ago, a certain person wandered the Earth. And so, he went, searching for his own salvation, something that had eluded him for the longest time. Falling away from contact with the outside world, he either packed up for sold some of his belongings and traveled far and wide. He often sat and listened to what others had to say about salvation, faith, and perseverance. However, none of that mattered. It didn’t make sense. How can other people interpret your hate, your anger, your passion when they were not there, experiencing these feelings as he did? So he kept walking alone, impulses and memories still haunting him.
Maybe, just maybe, he could find his answers in solitude. Along his journey, he encountered the most “holy” of sites that humankind thought existed. He grazed his hand against the Western Wall. He sat under holy trees that line the Ganges. Still, those peculiar places held no meaning. No special experience that others were enveloped with.
That is, until one peculiar day. He was visiting a familiar temple located in Nekomi, Japan. Not daring to step into the establishment, he paused for a few minutes. Thoughts swarmed his head, images of her face suddenly appeared within the inter sanctum of his mind. What did he have left to live for? After his last match, he felt abandoned and lacked the punch he needed to win the Crucifixion Match. That’s the reason why he left in the first place, right? Her face kept popping up in his head. Finally, she lipped inaudible words that only he could understand.
He took his steps towards the temple, eventually coming up to the door. He knocked and after a few moments, a girl with black hair and blue emblems on her face answered.
“Yeah? What do you want?!”
It took a few seconds to absorb the sight. When finally recognizing him, her pupils shrunk in size.
“Where have you been?”
His face is gruff, merely unshaven and worn from the journey he partook. In the utmost sincerity, he answers.
“I can tell you later. But right now, can I use your phone?”

A few months later…
“It’s been some time…”
As the camera comes on, a dark figure can be seen with a light to his back. With the light behind the figure, his face is still concealed in darkness.
“Since I’ve stepped into a WCF ring…”
A shot of his hand can be seen clinching. Another shot reveals his light indigo eyes pierce through the darkness.
“I couldn’t find the competition elsewhere that I got when with the WCF…”
Light starts to engulf the darkness as the figure’s arms spread to emulate a crucifix.
“Behold! For I have returned…”
The person is revealed to be none other than David Alastair. However, he looks quite different from before as his dark hair replaced the streaks of blonde of old. His eyes show a sense of maturity and understanding, but battle-worn at the same time. He stares blankly into the camera, before smirking.
“I have returned. After my disappearance from the face of this company, I have become new. Shed the skin of old to reveal the essence of a new age. But first, let me fill you all in…”
Flashes of his bouts in Yggdrasil Pro flash before one’s eyes… From battling “The Valkyrie” Lind to standing toe-to-toe with Headbanger Bane, from holding up one of the Yggdrasil Pro Tag Team Titles to destroying Ricky Crush with the “Abandon All Ye Hope” Flip Piledriver, a shot goes back to Alastair’s clean-shaven face.
“As I said before, I had no trouble against the opponents I have faced since leaving the WCF. Now, I feel like raising the bar.”
The chorus of Killswitch Engage’s “When Darkness Falls” comes in as David steps away from the camera and poses by placing his right arm high above his head, with his eyes staring up to somewhere above.
“Dreamt since the dawn of man, we are reborn…”
The camera fades to black again, then words resounding “David Alastair... Coming Back to WCF... This Sunday…” appear on the screen before finally going back to darkness.
