(The screen fades into asphalt. It is dark, and gleaming. There is a puddle near the top of the zoomed in screen. The reflection of a street lamp is seen in it. It is flickering slightly. Suddenly a shoe slams into the puddle, causing a splash and great disturbance in the scene. The screen pans up to see a figure running away from the camera. The screen changes to in front of him. We can see that the figure is male by his build. He has a black hoodie on and some non-descript pants. He is running fairly fast His hood is up and we see his chest rapidly moving. The camera view switches back to behind him. Almost immediately afterwards, he trips and lands hard on the pavement. He stumbles up before crashing to the ground again. He rolls over, almost in the fetal position, panting frantically. Several odd, high pitched moaning noises escape his mouth. A full moon shines brightly above him. Another street lamp is behind both of them. The figure squirms in pain, and violently jerks around. His jerks slowly turn to spasms. His midsection pulses outwards, followed by his feet and head. As the feet and head come up, the hoodie falls off his head. We see a very frantic Twister. His eyes are dilated and twitching nervously. The breathing gets heavier. His midsection thrusts out one last time as his eyes roll to the back of his head. The breathing and convulsions stop. His head lies in a pool of rainwater and blood. The screen fades out on the unconscious body…)
Voice: He is in critical condition. Stabilize his neck; he seems to have some pretty bad wounds here.
(The screen fades in to the same area, but it is daylight. The area is dry except for a puddle here and there, and a large blood stain in the middle of the road. A little to the left we see them loading Twister into an ambulance via a stretcher. His hair is matted to his head and stained red. He is still unconscious, but a slow, gentle rhythm of his chest going up and down is seen. They load him in and the ambulance takes off, sirens blaring. The screen fades out until the beep of a heart rate monitor is heard. It is going steady.)
Nurse: Doctor, do you have any idea what happened to him?
Doctor: It seems he overdosed on an illegal substance that we haven’t identified yet. It could very well be PCP considering his condition.
(Twister stirs in the bed and looks up. We see he has a huge brush burn on his right check, nose and forehead. He looks very much a mess. His voice is groggy as he speaks.)
Twister: W…where am I?
Doctor: You are at St. Angel’s Hospital. It seems you overdosed last night which caused you to meltdown.
Twister: ….Drug overdose….
Doctor: Yes, what exactly did you do?
(Twister does his best to get angry, but is still weak, and has a hard time maintaining intensity.)
Twister: I don’t do drugs any…
(His voice trails off.)
Doctor: Well, I don’t mean to interrogate you in your state, but things like this just don’t happen you know.
(Twister tries to get up, angrily, but momentarily realizes that the effort is fruitless. He collapses back to the pillow.)
Doctor: Ok, that’s enough for now, we’ll see you later.
(He motions for the nurses, who follow obediently.)
(Twister closes his eyes. The screen fades out yet again…momentarily the sound of a woman’s voice is heard. The screen comes in with it. We see Twister in new clothing, carrying a gym bag in his right hand. He is walking towards the camera. He is staggering a little and stumbles slightly once in a while. A nurse is chasing after him, talking frantically.)
Nurse: But you can’t leave. You are in no state…you’ve only been here for two hours, you need more time…ummm….if you won’t stay for you, stay for me…
(She is older, and probably not high on Twister’s list of women. He makes no notion that he even hears her.)
Nurse: Oh darn it; is there nothing I can say to change your mind?
(Twister gets to a yellow taxi where he puts his bag in the popped trunk. He goes around the right back seat and gets in. The door is still open. He lifts his head sheepishly, and it shows how run-down he is. He is only able to get a meek whisper out before closing his eyes and slowly closing the car door.)
Twister: …Thank you…
(The screen fades out.)
