"Five days ago on WCF Wednesday Night, WCF World Champion Jayson Price dropped a bombshell on the crowd in Reading, Pennsylvania when he announced that he would be coming back to Reading on February 24th to defend the WCF World Title against an opponent to be named. Price stated that he wanted to be the World Champion that WCF and it's fans needed and wanted, and that being the first World Champion to defend the title on Wednesday Night was the first step. Fans had been expecting the news of who Price would be facing to come this Wednesday, but WCF.com has just received word that Seth Lerch has hand picked Price's opponent and announced it early in an attempt to hype the historic defense. In a tweet sent out to the WCF fans, Seth announced that Jayson Price will be facing Adam Young on February 24th in a Ladder Match for the WCF World Title.
While some may question why Adam Young is being given the shot at the World Title, it's been well documented that in the past few weeks Young has been taking shots at the World Champion on Twitter, challenging him to face him and calling him out for not giving him an answer. It would appear as though Seth is killing two birds with one stone, giving Adam Young the chance to pull off what would be one of the greatest upsets in recent memory, thus humiliating Price, while at the same time forcing Price to compete in a dangerous ladder match just 4 days before he is set to defend the World Title against Joey Flash at the Timebomb Pay Per View. As it stands, whether Price wins or loses on Wednesday Night, Seth is no doubt pleased with himself.
We tried to get in touch with Seth after he posted the tweet but he's declined to comment other than to say 'Make sure your subscriptions for the WCF Network are up to date before Timebomb!'. We'll have more to say on this story as information becomes available."
