The lights go out as the ref hits Three
DING
DING
DING
Freddy Whoa: What happened to the lights?
Red spot light turns on one by one on each section of the ring displaying men dressed in red robes that also cover their faces. Each one is holding a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. They all climb on the ring apron leaving Dune nowhere to go. The lights suddenly turn back on Vengeance is seen standing outside of the ring with two more roped men laughing.
Freddy Whoa: Who the hell are these people?
Zach Davis: It’s the Sixx Demons of Hell; they haven’t been seen in years.
Vengeance points to one of the robed men who then climbs into the ring and run towards Dune. Dune quickly grabs the robed man and hits another SANDSTORM, Vengeance continues to laugh. Vengeance motions again and the other three crawl through the rope and Dune quickly exits the ring shaking his head.
Zach Davis: Dune picks up the win and escapes being out numbered.
Vengeance starts screaming I WARNED YOU……….I WARNED YOU……….I WILL NOT BE IGNORED, Vengeance eyes light up as he starts smirking.
Zach Davis: Vengeance sending a message tonight, he will no longer be ignored.
Gravedigger: Ignored for what? He gets a chance at fifteen to become the number one contender for the United States title. What more does he need?
Zach Davis: I don’t know, but I’m sure we will find out one way or another.
The Vengeful one by Disturbed blasts over the arena’s sound system as Vengeance slowly makes his way towards the back, surrounded by the Sixx demons of Hell. After they reach the stage, Vengeance looks back towards the ring and smirks. He knew that he sent a warning sign to WCF management that if he didn’t get what he deserved people would pay at their expense. Vengeance scans the crowd looking for the various people from all different walks of life.
Vengeance looks back at the ring one more time. He looked over the ring and thought; he came extremely close to making Dune the first victim. Vengeance also knew that if he happened to succeed by doing that, it would have sent shock waves through WCF. How would the fans have reacted? How would the announcers have reacted? How would the locker room have reacted? Vengeance wanted to see all of these things happen but his plan didn’t work. His plan didn’t work on this night. But that wasn’t going to stop Vengeance, not tonight, not tomorrow, not next week.
Vengeance turns around and slowly walks in the back stage area followed by the Sixx Demons of Hell. As they make their way into the back stage area, Vengeance points down a hallway and the Sixx Demons of Hell walk down that hallway and disappear from sight. Vengeance knew if he needed them again they would be back at a moment’s notice, and there was no doubt in his mind they would need to be summoned again. Vengeance stopped by his locker room and grabbed a change of clothes and went to the showers.
After the show, Vengeance was washed away and Harley Rhodes walked out, closed the door behind him, and walked down to his locker room. As he got to the locker room he reached down with his right hand and turned the knob to the left, opened the door, walked through, and closed the door behind him. This week the locker room was small and had two wooden benches on each side of the room. Chris sat on one side and Harley sat on the other side.
Once Harley sat down, Chris just stared at him. There have been no secrets that Chris hasn’t been a fan of the way things have been going recently. He didn’t like the fact Vengeance was against everything that has been thrown at him, instead of using them as opportunities like Chris thought he should. He didn’t like that Vengeance and Harley Rhodes are becoming more and more different. Harley wasn’t aware yet. But Chris didn’t like what happened earlier on slam either. This was the reason he chose to stare at Harley and not say a word.
Harley stared back at him not saying a word. He started to get the feeling that Chris was not happy with him and that was the truth. Harley also knew that he wasn’t in this business to make his agent happy. But Harley also felt relief, he felt relief because Vengeance sent a warning to WCF management and he felt like it worked. Little did he know that was not going to be the case, he had not seen the finalized card for the Fifteen pay per view yet. While others have had weeks to prepare for the upcoming card, he wasn’t so lucky and it wasn’t a shock to him.
In a way, Harley felt a little excitement because this was going to be one of the biggest cards of WCF history and one of the biggest shows ever being a fifteen year anniversary for the company. As many problems as Vengeance has had since returning last year, Harley on the other hand was in a way proud to be working for the WCF. The main reason why he was happy was because he had a job that paid him well, while others struggled to make decent money.
This made Harley smile and he forgot that Chris was still staring at him. After about 5 minutes of his day dreaming, he finally realized that Chris was still staring at him. Not only still staring but giving him the death glare that no one wants to see. Harley gave Chris a small smirk and Chris started shaking his head. Chris was getting angrier by the minute, Harley wasn’t waiting for him to finally say something, maybe he would feel better or so he thought.
Chris: What the fuck was that? What in the fuck are you doing? Who the hell are those people in those robes? Are you trying to get us fired from this place, or do you want to just do nothing the rest of your career? Do you honestly believe in that brain of yours that you would win any type of war against management?
Harley Rhodes: First off you really need to calm down. You getting angry at the actions of Vengeance isn’t going to solve anything.
Chris’s frustration grows and he interrupts.
Chris: Are you kidding me with this? Why are you talking about yourself in third person? You are Vengeance; you’re responsible for everything that happens.
Harley shakes his head in disagreement
Harley Rhodes: NO….NO I don’t understand why you haven’t gotten this concept yet. Why is it that I need to keep explaining myself to you? I take no responsibility for Vengeance’s actions. That face paint transforms me into someone else. I get that it’s strange, and maybe you or anyone else will never understand it. Maybe I don’t understand it. Maybe just maybe, some things are better left alone, and shouldn’t be understood.
I will never take responsibility what happens when I turn into Vengeance. Vengeance and I are two different people. Some people may like it, some may hate it, but the fact is that we are different in so many ways. To be honest with you, I hoped Vengeance never had to return to the dark, hardcore ways that plagued his wrestling career but the people who sit around and do nothing get left behind.
I got tired of Vengeance being a no one. Sure Vengeance is a former hardcore and internet champion but what did that get him? Can you answer that question? Not a God damn thing is what it got him. I sat back and watched people return for the past 4 years and they all get praised, and people get excited. Do you remember what happened when Vengeance returned? Not a single person gave a fuck, that’s what happened. Everyone reaches their breaking point sometime during their life when they can’t take it anymore.
Vengeance reached his. I’m not going to apologize for anything and there is no reason why I should. Vengeance didn’t get any respect when he came back, and you think Vengeance should give respect back? Why should he? I have heard all the excuses in the world why these people come back and get pushed right back to the top, it’s beyond stupid. Why can’t you see this, can you explain that to me?
Frustration continues to build inside Harley
Harley Rhodes: I think if anyone should get an explanation it should be me. Vengeance is a former champion just like the rest of them, and I have been in main events. And with the wave with new talent that has walked through these doors, Vengeance is a god damn veteran. What other excuses are going to be thrown at me? I have never been world champion? Is that what is next?
Do you know why Vengeance has never been World Champion? The answer is actually simple, it’s because I have never been given the chance to be World Champion. Vengeance isn’t good with that and I will not apologize for not being good with it. Speaking of titles do you know how many title shots this company has given Vengeance in the past 4 years? Do you know Chris? The answer is 3. 3 fucking title shots, 2 of them happened in the first 6 months after I signed a contract.
So how does that work? They want to push Vengeance, and then they don’t? Why should I be good with that Chris? Vengeance is tired of being ignored. Vengeance is tired of being the little person, tired of being the surprise win each and every week. You would think a former champion would get a little more respect than that, but that doesn’t happen to Vengeance. Maybe someone should explain to me why Vengeance gets over looked while everyone else that returns is fed with a golden spoon.
Vengeance was forced to start from the bottom, while he sat back and watched other returning stars get main event spots, title shot after title shot. You should explain to me why Vengeance should apologize? You can’t answer that because there is no answer for that. Vengeance is tired of being ignored Chris, there is nothing you can say or do that will change that, trust me on this.
Frustration quickly turns to anger inside Harley
Harley Rhodes: Vengeance made a promise and I can almost guarantee you that he will stay true to what he said earlier tonight. He will make examples out of people if that’s what it’s going to take to get noticed, although you may dislike that from a business stand point, because that’s what you do, you are the agent, but a little birdy told me this will work. They will have no choice to pay attention to Vengeance.
Everyone knows you can only ignore something for so long. You can only ignore that thing until it starts making noise. When it starts making noise you silently pay attention. When that noise gets louder you pay more attention, and finally when that noise has wiggled a way into a number one contender match then what do you do? You attempt to silence that noise with the biggest monster on the roster called Dune. But when that doesn’t work you have to go to plan B.
Plan B was the very reason why WCF management waited until the last minute to book someone to face Vengeance. They hoped and prayed that Dune would have done their dirty work and taken him out so he wouldn’t make it to fifteen. But instead Vengeance turned the tides and made that noise get even louder. Speaking of Fifteen, have you picked up the final card yet?
Chris sighed, as he picked up the card shortly before Vengeance’s match earlier in the night and he knew it wouldn’t make anyone happy.
Chris: I did and you’re facing “The Real Deal” Raymond Hatcher.
Harley Rhodes: Who?
Chris: Raymond Hatcher, I guess he is back?
Harley Rhodes: What do you mean back? You mean like he has been here before and is returning?
Chris: Yes, he has been here before. He signed a contract in March of 2015.
Harley leaned back against the wall and let out a huge sigh. There were so many emotions running through his head after finding out who Vengeance would be facing at fifteen. He was angry, he was frustrated, and he was confused. As many thoughts crossed through his mind he felt like the message he sent earlier tonight was ignored. WCF management decided to ignore Vengeance’s warning.
They seemingly ignored everything that he had said in the past few weeks. Once again someone returning gets thrown to a match they don’t deserve. Vengeance had to start from the bottom, so should everyone else. Harley took a couple minutes with these thoughts before he said anything.
Harley Rhodes: So is this like a joke? Are we getting punked right now? Is this even real life? So they chose quickly to ignore what Vengeance did earlier tonight? Do they think it was some kind of joke? Do they think that it was like a one off deal? Honestly, is Raymond Hatcher the best thing they could come up with? I don’t even know what to say to that. I mean it’s like a ‘what the fuck?!’ moment right now, I honestly feel like I’m getting pranked right now.
So you decide to book Dune against Vengeance a week before one of the biggest pay per views in WCF history, Fifteen. So that plan didn’t work and you seriously think Raymond Hatcher is the answer to this? Raymond fucking Hatcher? Dune couldn’t put Vengeance down, do you really think, like really deep down inside think that Raymond Hatcher will be the one to stop Vengeance? I don’t even know what to say about this honestly.
Did you beg for this Raymond? I surely hope you wouldn’t be dumb enough to volunteer to step in the war path that Vengeance has been on lately, that would be complete stupidity on your part. Are you that stupid, Raymond? Let me ask you a serious question, Raymond. Do you believe in God? I hope you do. I hope you do, but if you don’t take a little piece of advice from someone who has been around.
I highly suggest you find comfort in God, Raymond. I beg you for your sake to find a church and speak to a priest before Sunday rolls around. Don’t be like everyone and ignore the words that come out of my mouth. You need a church and a priest you need to speak to God before its too late Raymond. I know you’re going to watch this and you will be at least smart enough to ask yourself why this guy wants to help me.
The answer to that question is very simple, Raymond. Vengeance doesn’t want to help you. No not at all, but what he does what is for you to be prepared. Now hold on, before you ask yourself why, let me explain a few things to you. It’s no secret I’ll gladly admit I really don’t know a damn thing about you or what makes you tick. It’s not because your wrestling skills suck, which they could, it’s not because you’re boring to listen to, which you might be I’ll play your promos later on this week.
Vengeance feels like everyone has a choice in their life. What do you look towards for answers, Raymond? Do you look for the heavens for advice or do you look towards the ground and wait for Hell to answer you? I’m not asking you to make your choice right now. I want you to actually sit back wherever you might be and actually think about this for once.
No one likes pain, no one likes suffering do they, Raymond? No person in their right mind would say that they enjoy such a thing. Can we at least agree on that? Good! I am here to help you not go down the wrong road. I am here to help you to choose a better path. I don’t want to believe you are a stupid person, Raymond. I don’t want to believe you actually would have begged to face Vengeance. I want to believe that WCF management has faith in you that you could be the one to end the noise of Vengeance.
But we both know that isn’t true, is it Raymond? Deep down inside when WCF called and gave you a chance you surely don’t deserve, you got excited. But when they told you that it would be against Vengeance that excitement started to end, didn’t it? There is no shame in that, you have the right to fear Vengeance I cannot blame you for that.
Harley’s eyes lit up with excitement as he felt he truly could help Raymond as he continued to talk.
Harley Rhodes: Have you had enough time to think about your answer yet, Raymond? This could be a life changing experience for you, one way or another. Let me ask you something else. Have you done your complete homework on Vengeance? If so, do you remember when Vengeance was Hell’s Demon? Did you watch that time period? If not you should check it out, maybe it will help with your choice.
Why do I think it will help with your choice? The answer is actually quite simple. During a phase, Vengeance prided himself on hurting people and being violent. That is something Hell is known for, right? Pain, suffering, violence doesn’t sound like a lot of fun. But listen to me when I tell you this. Walking through the fires of Hell would be a lot easier then facing Vengeance on a war path.
I am warning you, Raymond, choose the other way. Seek help from God. Go to your local church and ask God for help, speak with your local priest and ask him to save you. I’m warning you, Raymond, find God before you meet him this Sunday it’s your only hope. I have this feeling that you’re not smart enough to stay away from fifteen. You’re going to be ignorant like everyone else, aren’t you? That’s fine Raymond, don’t listen to me but when you meet God, tell him I told you so. You want to force my hand and make me learn about Raymond Hatcher. Fine, but I’m not looking forward to being bored.
Harley was full of adrenaline after his rant, while Chris smiled with happiness. Harley knew Raymond wouldn’t listen to the advice he tried to give him and he would actually have to find out who exactly Raymond Hatcher is. But that was ok with him. He didn’t mind learning about people, and he didn’t mind taking trips either. Little did Harley know Chris actually approved the purchase of the private jet they flew on last week when they visited the Mojave Desert.
Chris decided to wait to tell Harley that instead of buying that bus like he wanted to, he actually sold the RV to help pay for the private jet that he now owned. Chris wasn’t sure he would act because Harley wasn’t one for owning fancy items, he enjoyed being a simple man, although he was more complicated than simple, possessions didn’t mean that much to him. Chris decided it was time to break the news about the private jet purchase; after all, they would desperately need it this week. Chris was quickly overcome by nervousness but he managed to start speaking.
Chris: There is something that I have to tell you. I probably should have told you before I did it, but I didn’t, so please don’t get mad.
Harley was confused
Harley Rhodes: Ok what did you do?
Chris: Remember how we talked a while back about trading in the RV and getting a touring bus?
Harley Rhodes: Yeah, you suggested it would be a better ride. I agreed and last I knew we had to go look at them?
Chris: I kind of approved a purchase.
Harley Rhodes: Ok, so you bought a bus without me?
Chris: No, I didn’t buy a bus.
Harley was getting even more confused.
Harley Rhodes: Ok? What the fuck did you buy?
Chris: Well you know that private jet we flew on last week?
Harley Rhodes: Yeah, it was a pretty nice plane. Good choice on the rental!
Chris shook his head.
Chris: It wasn’t a rental
Harley Rhodes: What do you mean it wasn’t a rental? Did you steal a fucking plane?
Chris: No, I approved the purchase of that plane out of the travel fund.
Harley’s eyes lit up in pure shock.
Harley Rhodes: You did what? You approved the purchase of what? That had to cost millions of dollars Chris, what the fuck are you doing?!
Chris: It did cost a lot.
Harley Rhodes: Where the fuck did you get that kind of money, from the travel fund? How is there millions of dollars in that fund?
Chris: Listen when I took over as your agent, I went through everything and organized it correctly. That included finances, which included bills, travel funds, wrestling gear replacement, things like that. And to be completely honest with you, you didn’t do that great of a job of keeping all of that in order. You have been around long enough you should have realized that you need to run yourself like a business.
After everything was sorted and with the sale of the RV, I was able to acquire the jet. With the money that has been saved throughout your career, there is plenty to keep things going. This will be easier for you to travel from place to place and will take less time. Last week was a preview and it worked out well, you cannot deny that.
And if you need more of an example, use this week. You know nothing about Raymond Hatcher. You have a lot of places to visit and a lot of things to see to be able to fully understand who Raymond Hatcher really is. Now having this jet will make it possible to do all of this during the week before fifteen. Do you get what I am saying?
Harley nods his head yes as he saw Chris’ point of view and agreed with it.
Harley Rhodes: No I get it man, I really do. I just wished you would have come to first before spending millions of dollars. That is a fuck ton of money. Do you realize how many years Vengeance had to wrestle to make millions of dollars? Anyway have you done any research on this Raymond Hatcher guy? He needs to realize he is going to make the biggest mistake of his life when he is dumb enough to show up at fifteen.
Chris laughs as he was becoming to feel more comfortable about buying the jet.
Chris: Well yeah, I did a little bit of research about him. I got us a basic outline on what we need to do this week in order to know the ins and outs about him.
Harley shook his head as he waited for Chris to tell him the first time they would be doing.
Chris: First thing I would suggest we do is visit Los Angeles.
Harley shook his head in agreement
Harley Rhodes: L.A. huh? I haven’t been there in a while sounds kind of fun. Don’t tell me this asshole was born into money, the world doesn’t need another one of those idiots.
Chris smirks and chuckles
Chris: No, he wasn’t born into money but I think we should just go there first before I tell you anything about what happened with Raymond in L.A. To be honest with you, it’s a pretty fucked up story, but I think you you’ll find humor in it.
Harley nods as he felt some excitement about the upcoming trip to Los Angeles.
Harley: Rhodes: Cool, let’s get the fuck out of here and go.
Chris agreed as Vengeance grabbed both of his suitcases, Chris called for a cab. The two walked outside to the back parking lot and 5 minutes later, a green colored van that had been turned into a cab showed up. Harley opened the side door and threw his two suitcases in the back seat and sat down, Chris followed and shut the door.
The younger male cab driver who seemingly was working the night shift to put himself through college asked the two where they need to go.
Cab Driver: Where to?
Chris: The airport please.
The cab driver nodded and reached his right hand towards the dash. He pushed a button on the cab meter to start the time and slowly pulled away. As he pulled on to the street he drove slowly down the road and headed towards the airport. No one spoke a word during the 10 minute cab ride. When they approached the airport, Chris gave instructions to park towards the side of the main building so they could be let in a private gate, which the driver did.
When the cab stopped, Chris paid the cab driver and climbed out. Harley grabbed the suitcases and followed him. As they walked up to the chain link private entrance, they were met by airport security. Chris showed them their private plane access badge and security checked them with a metal detecting wand before letting them in. After they were let in, they made their way to the private jet which wasn’t parked too far away.
As they approached the jet, Harley took a long look at the jet he now owned according to Chris. There was nothing special about the outside as it was plain white in color. The more Harley looked at it, the more it grew on him and the more he was ok with Chris spending that kind of money. After taking a minute soaking it all in, Harley approached the plane with Chris. They were met by the pilot and his co-pilot. The pilot opened the door and dropped the stairs to plane.
All 4 of them shook hands and Chris was the first to climb in the plane, followed by Harley with the suitcases. After the pilot and co-pilot climbed inside, the pilot closed the door and they both went into the cock pit and started the engines and went through all there pre-flight electronic checks. Soon after, they started communication with the tower and they were cleared for take-off.
Chris and Harley both sat in the first row of the two rows of seats in the cabin area and sat a seat apart from each other. The seats where black in color and folded like seats at a sports stadium. Shortly after they sat down, the plane got cleared for take-off. After taking off from the airport, the plane ascended into the clear night sky headed towards Los Angeles. Chris decided to watch a movie on his laptop and Harley fell asleep.
The flight was rather smooth for the next few hours. There was seemingly no turbulence at all; as the night went on, Chris finally feel asleep and soon thereafter the night sky seemed to turn into early morning sunlight as the plane was finally reaching Los Angeles. The descent from the sky to the airport woke up both Harley and Chris. After about a 10 minute descent, the plane finally landed at a private airport in the Los Angeles area. They decided it would be best to stay away from LAX.
After the plane parked and the pilot shut off the motors, they opened the door and climbed out. Harley and Chris followed right behind them with the suitcases. After they climbed out, the pilot closed the door and had the airport put the plane away in a hanger for the night. Chris had booked a hotel room after he decided they need to make a trip to Los Angeles.
He then called for a cab. Harley and Chris were picked up by a yellow cab and taken to a Hilton hotel. After the 20 minute cab drive, they checked in and went up to their rooms. After dropping off the suitcases, Chris walked down to Harley’s room which was only a couple doors down the hallway and knocked on the door. Harley opened the door and let him inside and the two sat at a small table to discuss what the plan was for Monday.
Harley Rhodes: So what do you have planned for us today?
Chris: Well today is going to be our only stay in Los Angeles. There really isn’t much to learn to be honest with you. And we will get out of here early in the morning.
Harley Rhodes: So why Los Angeles anyways?
Chris: Well this is where baby Raymond Hatcher was born. We are going to go visit his birth place.
Harley gave a disgusted look
Harley Rhodes: His birth place? Why the fuck would anyone care about his birth place? Does anyone give a fuck about anyone’s birthplace? I know I need to learn everything I can about him so Vengeance can win the mental game as well. But come on, his birth place? How fucking boring is this going to be, Chris?
Chris: It’s not going to be boring because he didn’t have a perfect childhood. In fact, his childhood was pretty fucked up and I think you might want to know about it.
Harley shook his head in agreement
Harley Rhodes: You’re right, I do. So you know where this place is? I’m ready to go, are you?
Chris shook his head in agreement
Chris: Yep, I’m ready let’s get going.
Harley was dressed in jeans and a Vengeance shirt, while Chris had a polo shirt and jeans on as they walked out of the room. The hotel room door slowly closed behind them and they walked down the hall to the elevator. The hotel halls where mostly quiet but there were a couple of people returning to their rooms. Harley reached down with his right hand and pushed the down button for the elevator. It took around 30 seconds before the doors opened and they walked in. It was just them two inside the elevator as Harley hit the lobby button. The doors slowly closed and the elevator dropped two floors before reaching the lobby and opening.
Harley and Chris walked out of the elevator and scanned the small lobby. The lobby was mostly empty besides the two female desk workers. They stood behind the front desk typing on the hotel computers not paying any attention to their surroundings. Harley and Chris slowly walk through the automatic sliding glass doors and walk out into the parking lot. The weather was sunny with a few clouds, temperatures in the lower 70’s, it was a beautiful day. Because it was such a beautiful day, they decided to take a walk.
The sidewalks seemed to be half full of various people walking from store to store. Harley scanned the store fronts as they walked by; Chris tapped his arm to get his attention. Harley looked at Chris and Chris handed Harley his phone to read a small blog. Harley read it and giggled and he realized where they were headed. The longer Harley and Chris walked, the stores faded away, medium incoming housing quickly turned into low income. Chris pointed to a street and they both walked towards it. Once they reached this particular street they both stopped and looked around at the houses.
Most of the houses on this street were run down and they seemingly had reached a part of the Los Angeles ghetto. Most of the paint was peeling off, some windows missing, front doors left open, trash filled yards, and it was hard to believe people could actually live like this. Several emotions crossed Harley’s mind but he knew why he was there. Harley almost felt sad, but then quickly remembered this was the type of shithole Raymond Hatcher was from. Once Raymond Hatcher crossed his mind, the sadness went away and quickly turned to happiness. Happiness because the fact Raymond may have suffered was a great thing.
Harley Rhodes: Are you kidding me right now, Raymond? I’m glad my agent, Chris could actually find out information about your dumb life. I guess really it was kind of hard to find, apparently no one gives a shit, what a shock I know. I really hate to be the bad guy here, but I guess I don’t have a choice. In a way, you’re really lucky that I’m the one saying it and not Vengeance; I’m a lot nicer than he is. He has been having some issues lately, sucks to be you. But let’s get back to the main point of this conversation, Raymond. I hope you sit back and enjoy this.
So this is what you called home isn’t? A nice broken home straight from the Los Angeles ghetto Raymond Theodore Hatcher was born April first 1984. You were born into a strange situation. Don’t get me wrong we all have seem some strange people with strange backgrounds but you Raymond, you are the clear front runner. No one ever enjoys someone else talking bad about their family life, lucky for you no one really cares, hell your parents don’t even care do they? Did they strike a bad cord with you? Hopefully it did because I’m just getting started
Shall we talk about your father for a minute? I mean let’s be honest he sounds like a real winner. He came to this country probably illegally like so many others do. Somehow he ended up in Los Angeles without getting caught, which is kind of impressive but not really, a lot of them get away with it. Then he decided to walk the streets and he ran into this hippie girl. This hippie girl who was homeless walking the streets. So we have that moment in time when this illegal foreign business man meets this homeless hippie girl.
For some odd reason this homeless hippie chick who probably hadn’t taken a shower in god knows how long somehow attracts the illegal foreign business man. Then…. Then one night this nasty hippie chick who smelled of rotten tuna, turned on this foreign business man and baby Hatcher was conceived.
Harley starts gagging as he couldn’t understand why someone would be turned on by a rotten tuna smell.
Harley Rhodes: Sorry Raymond I almost lost it there. You see Raymond I can be a funny guy, I’m actually a good person and it pains to be to have to talk bad about your family it really does. Wait, no I don’t feel bad but I still enjoy having fun. Shall we continue on your life story? So sometime during your mother’s pregnancy she became estranged. Which to me isn’t shock you can never trust those homeless people anyways.
So because she became estranged your father had a moment in his life where he actually become the smartest man on earth and he bailed the fuck out. He walked out in your nasty homeless mother and he walked out on having to raise his so called son. Now before you get angry at me for saying that let me explain something really quick. I in no shape or form approve of anyone walking out one their child wait, I would approve his choice on walking out on you.
So you got to live your life with your mother for 8 years am I correct? Then what happened when you turned 8? Your own mother like your father decided to quit on you and handed you over to the state of California. She decided like your father that none of them wanted any hand in raising you. How does that make you feel Raymond? Does that anger you? Am I pushing your buttons yet? Are you going to take your aggression out on Vengeance this Sunday at fifteen?
I love when people get angry Raymond. I love to make people angry and then laugh when they are destroyed by Vengeance. Who could have thought face paint would change a person so much? It’s really kind of strange but hey this isn’t about my life. My parents actually decided to keep me, I guess I was a good child also they didn’t turn me over to the state.
So there you sit in a state of California Orphanage after 8 years of your life because your parents didn’t want you. They didn’t want anything to do with you did them? Even after you sat at the orphanage for several years no other families wanted you either did they? There is just something about you no family wanted. Several years’ man, if I was you I would honestly feel like a piece of shit, maybe you do. But someone did and it made your day right? You finally had a family that was willing to take you home. I can imagine Orphan shopping is kind of like puppy shopping. They place all of you in different windows and someone picks you out and signs a bunch of paper work. Sound about right Raymond?
So this family finds you sitting in a window with sad eyes and that made them want you. However little did you know this was actually you’re lucky day. Not only did a family want you after you sat as an orphan for several years but this family had money, they were fairly wealthy correct? Finally Raymond Hatcher could have everything handed to him on a silver platter. Happens a lot these days.
So they took their new child and moved to Naples Italy. Great choice by the way heard the place is beautiful. But that didn’t last too long and before you knew it you and your rich family ended back in the United States and unfortunately settled in the mid-west the same place I call him. The fact you spent some of your life in the same part of the country as me, makes me feel embarrassed. But that’s fine Raymond.
Honestly it was nice to find out how your life began. But sadly for you every life must come to end. While learning may have been boring, I can almost promise you that the end of your life will be different. Trust me, and pay attention to me right now Raymond. If you really thing that the beginning of your life was full of hurt and pain, I will warn you’re end will be far worse. Vengeance is coming for you Raymond, He is coming for you soon.
Anger started filling Harley’s mind as he ended his rant. He motioned to Chris he was done looking at the shithole where Raymond Hatcher called home and the two started walking back towards the hotel. As the two walked daylight was slowly turning to night, a full moon surrounded by stars could be seen above the city lights. Hunger started to take effected and they decided to stop at a small restaurant on the way back to the hotel. The restaurant was small, your typical ma and pop style and had outdoor seating.
Harley and Chris sat at a small table that was black metal covered with a white table cloth. Both of them ordered Cheeseburger and fries and decided to talk more about Raymond Hatchers life. Chris grabbed his smart phone from his right jean pocket and looked the career of Raymond.
Harley Rhodes: Alright what do you got for me?
Chris: Did you know he has already been a part of two different companies before joining WCF? He also debuted in 2011
Harley Rhodes: So basically what you’re telling me is he is what I call a company jumper. So in the past 5 years he has gone through 3 different companies. That usually means three things. Either he sucked that bad he had to leave, Dominated and left to find better talent which I highly doubt, or the company closed down, which could happen that usually happens when the talent sucks.
Chris laughed
Chris: Yeah I guess you could say something like that. ECCWF and XWF obviously below the standards of the WCF. ECCWF he lost his debut. He was even an apart of a team that had more members then the other. He actually get this lost the next week too. But he did wind up winning the National Heavyweight title twice. Then months later he would get released.
Harley laughs as these facts brought joy to him
Harley Rhodes: Yeah I guess it might be a hard road when you lose your debut match not really the first impression you want to give to anyone. How the hell does a company release someone who has been National heavyweight champion twice just months after he debuted? Did luck strike twice or is really some big piece of shit?
Chris shakes his head in disgust
Chris: He was released for several violations of company polices.
Harley interrupts as he didn’t understand
Harley Rhodes: Hold on. How can you violate company polices in wrestling? I mean it’s well known that most any company will let their talent do whatever they want because it brings in ratings. I guess that always could be used as an excuse saying hey you’re fired because you suck dick. You know the more and more I find out I really almost feel sorry for the guy. He thinks his this big badass former champion, but he is going to get destroyed by Vengeance at fifteen.
Chris shook his head in agreement
Chris: I get it. After he was fired XWF hired him, he had a tag team title run blah blah, and no one cares. Then he decided to bail for some new business adventure. Get this when he debuted in WCF he lost.
Harley laugh as he found another losing debut hilarious
Harley Rhodes: Is this guy for real? Some people just don’t get it these days. Really you can’t fault Raymond for effort. Just his effort isn’t good enough. I wonder what he is thinking, I really do. He should have stayed working the business side and stayed out of the ring. I wonder what will happen to the business side of him when he can no longer do. Vengeance is going to kill him Chris, I have this feeling it’s not going to be a great sight.
Chris and Harley finally got their food after 20 minutes of waiting. They shared small talk about nothing important while eating there food. When they were done eating Harley paid the bill and they left. They walked back to the hotel. On the way back Harley noticed an older church but didn’t say any anything. Once they left the lobby Chris went to the elevator and went back to his room to rest of awhile. Harley decided to leave the hotel and walk back down to the street to the church.
The church was older and made out of cement blocks. The area around it was dark as no street light seemed to be in the area. Harley walked in the darkness and disappeared for a few minutes. Inside the church was also dark only lit by a few candles. As the front door wooden door slowly opened Vengeance walked through. He slowly walked into the candle light his face was painted white with black stripes, his black hair halfway covered his face, and he once again was wearing a black robe. Several emotions ran through his head. He felt angry, demented, and frustrated. The three very emotions that has driven Vengeance back to his dark hardcore ways. A Single candle lit the face of Vengeance.
Vengeance: Raymond Theodore Hatcher have you made your choice yet? You were giving all day long to make a simple choice. Harley all though blunt is a much nicer person then I am. Everything he has told you and everything he as warned you about is true. Vengeance is on a warpath and now you step in my way. You are the final step before I finally get the match that I want. All though the bookers failed to stop me last week with Dune they made a desperate sad choice in picking you.
I know you are not a stupid man Raymond, I know you attended Stanford and Yale and managed to get your MBA. I know you own several successful business, you do public speaking, and up multiple seminars every year. That takes a smart man that is the truth. But the other side of the truth is there are two different types of smart. You obviously have the book smarts, but I am in serious doubt you have the street smarts.
You’re short 5 year career doesn’t impress me. You’re few championships aren’t impressive there is nothing about you that is impressive. I probably will never understand why someone who is book smart like you can be a complete idiot when it comes to the streets. If you don’t want to take my word for it you will prove me correct when you decide to speed walk down to the ring at fifteen. A speed walk that will prove to made the biggest mistake of your life.
You’re adoptive family begs for you to change your mind. They beg you to walk into this very church Raymond. They beg you to ask God to save you. You know this church Raymond, you live in this city. The priest who looks next door will be more than willing to help you find God. Your time is running out, I can no longer save your Raymond. I give you all day to respond and ask for my help, you chose to ignore me. Now you’re time is up.
The only person who can save you now is God. God has saved a lot of people over the course of history including some famous people. He helped them rid their bodies of addiction. He can do the same for you Raymond. He was waiting for you. He is waiting for you to ask him to save you. Why aren’t you here Raymond why?
Anger was starting to building Vengeance as he picked up the white candle and lit one stand next to it. He placed the candle back down as two drips of wax rolls down the sides landing on Vengeance’s fingers. He smiled as he felt the burning pain it almost had a calming effect. With two candles not lit you could see more of Vengeance’s painted face.
Vengeance: People come to church to pray for themselves or for loved ones. They pray for God to help a family and friends. They come to this very area and light a candle for whoever they wanted to pray for. I lit this candle for you Raymond. I refuse to ask God to help you this Sunday. I refuse to pray for you. I refuse ask for your pain to be taken away. I refuse to help you in anyway. I give you a chance Raymond.
This Church Raymond is beautiful. Most of them are. I can almost vision your future. You’re funeral will be beautiful Raymond. This church will be lit up, people will fill this the wooden church pew’s, hopefully, the sun will be shining It will be a truly beautiful day.
Because I am respectful member of this roster Raymond, I will do your family a favor, a favor because for some reason I will feel responsible for the demise of your life. I will direct your funeral free of charge, I will cover all cost from preparing your cold body, to your casket, to your burial. You’re adoptive family will cry for you loss, but have no fear I will comfort them
People say I have a split personality, Raymond maybe I’m just a little crazy. Working with things you fear will have an effect on your brain. Maybe that’s why I am the way I am today, or maybe just maybe people like you are the cause of it. People like you who try to take things away from people like me. That is one thing I always enjoyed working for a funeral home. I loved staring at a rotting a rotting corpse knowing that they took things from deserving people and they finally got what they deserved….death.
Death is coming for you Raymond. There is nothing you can do to now to prevent it. It’s coming in the form of Vengeance.
Frustration finally takes over Vengeance as he starts pacing back and forth in front of the candles. Each passing pace the single candle provides small light over his face.
Vengeance: I was good for so long Raymond. So long I tried to be a normal guy. So long I tried to be that normal guy all day long every day. But then it finally happened. My breaking point showed its face and turned me into this once again. Maybe I am the one that needs to be saved. Maybe I am the one Raymond. Maybe that United States title will save Vengeance and make him normal again. Maybe just isn’t good enough.
Maybe doesn’t prove anyone with the answers they seek. Maybe you will be the one to finally end my title hunt. Even I can crack a joke. There is something inside me that doesn’t like being ignored. You were ignored as a child. The problem is I refuse to be ignored. I will keep making noise each and every week until I finally have what I want. No one will take this away from me, not even you Raymond, even if I have to keep getting darker and darker each week.
I don’t enjoy this. I don’t enjoy being dark, but I guess you need to be a little dark when you enjoy causing pain to others. That Raymond is what is going to happen to you this Sunday. I am going to destroy the person they call Raymond Hatcher. You have never faced anyone like me I promise you that. If you can’t help me Raymond so I need to destroy you.
The United States title belongs to me and should already be around my waist. I know deep down inside you’re filled with excitement and fear. You’re excited because you have been handed a contenders match on a silver platter. This excitement has given you a false hope that you will manage to beat me. But you also have that fear. You have that fear because you know I will do anything to get what I want. I know you watched what happened last week with Dune.
Dune was almost the first example but he managed to run from me. That scares you doesn’t. You know Dune is and angry monster. I made that angry monster run Raymond. Has that sunk in yet? He ran from my Sixx Demons of hell, he ran from Vengeance. Do you honestly think you can stop me? Do I need to keep repeating that question? Do you honestly think you can stop me? I’m coming for you Raymond. I’m coming for you at fifteen.
It’s too late you can’t run now. You finally get to feel what hell is like. I warned you Raymond you should have asked God to save you but you ignored me like everyone else does. Now you face me, the one man that will show you what hell is like, the one man that will physically and emotionally destroy the man called Raymond Hatcher. It’s over Raymond, its long over.
They are here Raymond. And they are waiting for you. They are waiting to carry you way. I want you to take a look, I want to show you something.
Vengeance once again took a lit candle and starting lighting each candle the church had set it. Once he was done the candles provided a dim light over the church alter. Vengeance kneels down and rises his arms towards the painted church ceiling. Vengeance felt happiness as he did this. He began smile as the SIxx Demons of hell can be faintly seen wearing red robes that covered their faces pushing an unknown object down the isle of the church towards the alter.
It didn’t take very long before the Sixx demons of hell reached the alter and they stopped just behind Vengeance. Once they stepped the dim candle light dimming lit up the object they were pushing down the aisle and it was a black shiny metal casket. The Sixx demons of hell stood beside the casket three on each side. Vengeance slowly stood up and turned around. He reached down to the casket and slowly ran fingers of his left hand over the lid.
Vengeance suddenly stop and griped the lid. He slowly opened the lid to revel the inside. Inside the casket was plush red. Laying inside the casket was a red wooden barbed wire baseball bat. Vengeance smiled and he slowly picked up the bat and brought within inches of his face. Vengeance stared and was overcome by relief and happiness.
Vengeance then slowly takes the bat and runs a single barbed wire across his forehead. This makes a couple drops dark red in color trickle down his face. He begins to laugh. Pain seemly was a funny thing that he enjoyed. As the blood continued to pour out of his forehead he began to talk once more.
Vengeance: Are you paying attention to me yet Raymond? Are you watching this blood flow from my forehead? It feels good Raymond, it makes me happy. Am I crazy? Do you want to know that is crazy? This Sunday at fifteen you’re going to lose. You will finally have an end. My end and I will read you. Your last rites.
Vengeance puts the red barbed wire bat back inside the casket and slams the lid. He turns around and walks down the Aisle and out of the church, and disappears in the dark night. The Sixx Demons of hell push the casket back out of the church and also disappear into the dark night.
