Danny Vice is sitting down with Hank Brown on Friday evening, less than 48 hours before War. The entire WCF roster has brought their best, preparing mentally, spiritually, and physically for the most challenging event in the business. For one night only, the entire roster has a chance to realize a dream and become the #1 contender for the World Championship. For some, this could be their only chance, their one shot at glory and history. To become a diety to the entire wrestling world can come down to one false move or one simple lapse in judgment. Hank Brown wants to know why The Vagrant believes his is capable and deserving to be the War winner.
Hank Brown: Danny, please, tell everyone why it is your think you can win War?
Danny Vice: Simply put Hank, I believe I am the best man out there. I believe that I have overcome so much to get to the place I am right now. I am the most focused I have been in my entire career...nay...my entire life. I have no regrets or fears. Failure is not even an option. And physically, I am as fit as I will ever hope to be. This Sunday, is my turn to take the reigns and lead the WCF into a new generation of wrestling.
Hank Brown: Danny, excuse me for being frank...but that sounds like the exact same answer as every other wrestler this week. Everyone who has made their claim to being the War Champion has essentially the exact same four reasons. They think they are the most physically able. They say that they are more focused and prepared than ever before. They talk about how they have overcome so much in their life that there is nothing that can stop them. And, essentially, they say it is their time to rise to the top of the federation. Why do you think you will stand out and win War?
Danny Vice: Hank, you try too hard to quantify what it takes to be the War winner. I will give you credit, that you are correct that every other person in this entire federation is giving the same old story after the same old story that it's like Groundhog's Day in the WCF. However, Danny Vice, The Vagrant, is not doing it for himself. He isn't doing it for the man in the tights or the young boy's dream. He is doing it for virtue. For goodness. For the everyday fan. For the people who love and support the WCF. He isn't doing it just for a young boy who was beaten by his father and dreamed of one day being able to fight back. He isn't just doing it for the man who was betrayed by his own sister and needs to find some form of normalcy and continuity again in his life. And he isn't just doing it for the man who has time and time again tried to reach the top of the mountain but failed. He is doing it for not just one of them, but all of them. He is doing it for the people of the WCF. The fans. Every single one of them, with all their flaws and inabilities, as well as their strengths and triumphs. The War isn't about destiny, or focus, or power. It's about why you're there and what you are made of. And with the support of the thousands and thousands he fights for, The Vagrant will come out on top. I, Danny Vice, will win War.
Danny stares coldly into the camera before walking away. Hank stands somewhat motionless before signing off.
Hank Brown: For Danny Vice, this is Hank Brown. We will see you Sunday.
