The Torneo Cibernetico match was unexpected, and full of surprises. Back, and forth the action was happening as each member of the team was putting everything they can into the match to secure the win. Well all except Doc Henry who was the first one eliminated as soon as he was tagged in. In the end, it came down to the final two. Bernard Core, and Andre Holmes. Andre's family watched from the side lines, his daughters cheering, and screaming at the top of their voices to support their father. Samantha leaned on the barricade, and was also supporting her husband. The tides changed for the worse when Bernard Core delivered his finishing move, and got the win. It was heart shattering to suffer your first loss on the biggest event in the WCF. Rolling out of the ring, he walked to the backstage to just stay in his own locker room. Going through his mind was that he let his family down, and the rest he promised to fight for especially to a man who disrespected his family, and life choices. Andre sat down on a bench, removing his sweaty MMA gloves, and throwing it halfway across the room venting out his frustration. He really wanted to win. This was something more to him than another win on his record. He was fighting for his family, and now he feels crushed.
The door opened, and his daughters ran to him to hug him. Both Serenity, and Athena were completely happy to see their father in one piece, and inspiring them to do the best they can. Their arms wrapped around his shoulders, and he couldn't help but to tear a little. Samantha leaned on the wall with her arms folded, and brushes her brunette hair from out of her face. She wasn't all too happy that he lost but proud of his performance. However, something was bothering her. The divorce, and the crazy drama always spawning. Serenity, and Athena sat beside their father, and hugged onto his arms to comfort him. He needed it. Andre was just shaken from the loss after he put everything on the line, and wanted to just get the win for his own flesh, and blood.
Serenity Holmes
You did great Dad, we're proud of you.
Athena Holmes
Yeah! I like the part when you picked him up, and slammed him. You got up, and flipped back to land on him. Also the kick to the face, and the elbows. And, and, and, you kept hitting him, and picking him up.
Athena got off the bench, and tried to react his moves. She kept running back, and forth doing crazy kicks, and punches while babbling on, and on about her father's highlights. Andre, and Serenity couldn't help but laugh from her antics, and Samantha wasn't even paying attention. It even got up to a point where Athena did an elbow drop on the floor, and pretended to get the pin. She was so proud to see her father in action. Serenity helped her off the floor, and they both sat down beside him again. He closed the locker room door behind him, and Athena took off the jacket he wore in his entrance off the top of the locker to wear it herself. She covered the hoodie over her hair, and pretended to do his stance.
Athena Holmes
I'm going to be "Relentless" Athena Holmes.
Andre Holmes
That is if you actually make it to the ring. Until then, you're only Athena Holmes.
Athena Holmes
If you can do it, so can I.
Andre Holmes
Touche.
Serenity Holmes
Anyways, it was a great show overall. Except for the blood, and crazy stuff. Why did Mikey beat up that woman so bad? Did they break up or something?
Athena Holmes
Oh I know why.
Serenity Holmes
...Why?
Athena Holmes
She's ISIS.
Andre & Serenity Holmes
What?
Athena Holmes
It's obvious. A man who loves America beating up a girl like that? She's ISIS. Why else would he be like that? He's a hero.
Andre placed his face in his palm as Athena kept on with her theory of the match. Serenity sat there trying to understand where in the hell she managed to even get to a conclusion. Samantha looked away, and stared into the outside hall. She needed to leave in her mind, she just didn't want to be here.
Athena Holmes
And that's why he is still the United States Champion.
Andre Holmes
To be honest, I think you should become the new Head Writer for the company.
Athena Holmes
But Dad...I suck at writing.
Andre Holmes
That's why the job is yours.
Serenity Holmes
I'm confused.
Serenity brushed her red hair back, and fixed the collar on her white buttoned shirt. She was more of the fashionable type in the classy yet young aspect. Athena was the total opposite. Grunge, and hardcore. Serenity looked around at the locker room he was assigned to. It was pretty small but pretty cozy at the same time. White painted walls, wooden lockers around with a television set on the wall. Blue carpeted flooring, and a couple of wooden benches near the lockers. Andre's suitcase, and clothes were behind him, and he was ready to leave to bring his family back to the hotel. He felt better. No longer having to think of the worst or watch his family come into the room disappointed. Well, at least one of them was.
Andre Holmes
You okay?
Samantha looked back into his hazel eyes, and shrugged. She seemed distraught, and was concealing something in her purse. She looked beautiful. Her hair was down, make-up making her blue eyes pop, and she wore of an outfit in full black. A black jacket with shirt under it, tight black jeans, and black heels. Samantha wanted to leave, and Andre smiled to at least let her know he's happy she's here.
Samantha Holmes
I just think it's time for us to leave. We have to get back to Houston tomorrow in the evening.
Andre Holmes
Alright, I understand. Lets go.
The family gathered everything they needed, and Andre changed back into his regular clothing. The Lexus was parked in the interior parking lot of the Staples Center, and they took off to head back to the hotel. Samantha was driving, and the two daughters were in the back tired from the four hour event. Andre was still pumped from the match, and he leaned back to relax after a heavy load of performance. After fifteen minutes passed, both girls fell asleep as they drove on the highway. Andre looked behind him to see them asleep, and then turned around to look at the road.
Andre Holmes
Enjoyed yourself?
Samantha Holmes
Yeah. It was a good show. Long but entertaining. You did great.
Andre Holmes
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Samantha Holmes
Don't feel too bad about the loss. You really improved. Sometimes to succeed, you have to fail.
Andre Holmes
You got that from the game, Tekken.
Samantha Holmes
It's still true. Oh hold on, I need to into my purse. My phone's ringing.
Andre Holmes
I got it.
Andre digged into her purse right near the arm rest, and felt something cold, and hard. He wondered if it was the air conditioning or something else. He disregarded the mysterious feeling, and pulled out what it was an empty flash instead of her ringing cellphone. When he saw the flask in his hand, he instantly looked at his wife who was in shame. Andre couldn't believe it. He just lost the match, and now he's found out she was drinking too.
Andre Holmes
Are you kidding me? Are you serious?
Samantha Holmes
I can explain.
Andre Holmes
Were you drinking during my match? Were you?!
Samantha didn't wanted to answer, and Andre was getting pissed.
Andre Holmes
Answer the FUCKING question, were you drinking during my match?!
Samantha Holmes
Yes I was! Okay?! You happy? I was drinking during your match.
This really tore him. He leaned back in the seat, and shook his head. Some odd reason, he just started chuckling to say he wasn't surprised but didn't really expect her to do this when he needed her most. Andre kicked his legs up on the seat, and looked at the window. Samantha felt really bad but she couldn't help it. The girls were awakened by the screaming but kept quiet.
Andre Holmes
You know a little part of me wants to say that I'm actually surprised. A part of me wants to be shocked, and horrified that my wife couldn't control her alcohol problem for at least my match, and give me some support. Sadly, I'm not. I'm pissed at the fact I expected this, and upset that you did it. It's not getting any better. This marriage, us trying to work it out or even trying to act like a family. What we have between us is a joke. A big fucking joke.
Samantha gripped the steering wheel even tighter, fighting back the urge to even cry. She really felt this one, and Andre couldn't even look at her.
The one time I needed you, the one time I needed you. This what you give me. Another bullshit of this. I can't. Time, and time again I would have tolerated it, stopped it, or let it pass. I'd think we'd be able to work this out but no. I'm not the problem, you are. You're the fucking problem of this family, this marriage, and I can't do this anymore.
Serenity, and Athena just kept staring out their windows while Andre was finally broken. This was the last straw he had, and his heart was just shattered. The line was crossed, and all hope was abandoned. Samantha could only just stare, drive, and tear.
It's done. I'm done. This between is no more. I am done fighting a useless cause, and just done trying to hold on to something that isn't there anymore. I am done with everything, it's no point in it anymore. I'm done.
They took the exit off the highway, and finally pulled up into the front of the hotel resort. The valet helped with the car parking as the family went into the room. This night was one of the worst nights Andre has had. His first loss, the lack of support from his wife, and now finding out her alcoholic addiction overpowered her resistance. Andre wanted the next day to come, and end the pain of today. His daughters were tired of hearing the arguing, and just wanted the divorce to go through as quickly as possible. What was going to be the outcome of the divorce? That question rushed through Andre's mind over, and over but the decision was made.
A divorce is going to happen soon.

The scene opened up to what could be left of an abandoned warehouse on the second stair. The room had broken windows, and the concrete was torn apart blanketed by ripped pieces of wood, bent metal, and other rusted materials. The walls were cracked, and even designed with holes in different size. It was grungy, and more of a scary place to be in at night. A ghost house welcome to all wandering spirits who haven't left the realm yet. The camera was hoisted on a tripod, and the sunlight beamed through the open window reflecting off the shattered glass on the floor. Andre sat down on the window pane with the sun light highlighting his face as he looked into the camera pissed as hell.
"Relentless" Andre Holmes
A lot of things could be said about One. It was legendary, an event to remember for a century. All of us broke down the house, ended rivalries, and began a new era in our careers. For some, they achieved greatness. Others, they were removed from the history books. What for the new generation? Did we make a great impression or we were just another match lucky to make it on the grand stage of them all? All eight of us went into that ring, and put on the performance of a life time. We got in there, and did the best we could. No man left without a credit, well, no man except Doc Henry. What matters is that only one man was supposed to win but that man wasn't me. That man was Bernard Core. The question you guys all asked me was "How do you feel?". How do I feel? How would anyone feel to get so close, and then it was snatched away from you? To be right at the tip of the mountain only to find you missed a step, and now fell all the way to the bottom. How do I feel that I came in second place to a man like Bernard Core?
He looked away from the camera, and kissed his teeth. Andre stared into the open space outside the abandoned warehouse, and then straight ahead to the walls. At first, he smirked, and then started to chuckle.
I feel great. What? Not the answer you were expecting? You expect me to come before you all moaning, and crying about how I came up short? You clearly don't know me. At first, I felt like I let down the world but I was reminded how I inspired others. My own daughters told me they were proud of me, and all the WCF fans said I did great. Even a few people from the back said they expected me to go out in 2016 with a bang. So what does that say? That even though my loss was huge, I won in the end because I did exactly what I said would do. I'd inspire, and create an opportunity for the future, and now that opportunity has arrived this week on the first ever 2016 Slam. I'm going to be facing an old team mate from the Torneo Cibernetico, and it's not going to be for a mere victory. This match is for the number one contendership for the Wrestling Championship Federation Television Title. Ooh, even saying that gives me goosebumps. I'm having butterflies in my stomach for even thinking about it but who is my opponent? It's easy. Someone I've seen in the ring, and someone whose had success which could be argued better than what I have accomplished. Lucious Starr.
Andre nodded his head, and rubbed the back of his hand under his chin while sniffing. He pulled his right leg closer to him, and looked into the camera lens as one side of his face went dark, and the other side shown by the sun light.
It's easy to understand how severe, and important this opportunity for the both of us. We've seen each other in the ring, and we've both had success in it. Lucious Starr is someone to be recognized, sike I lied, he's no one compared to me. He was a liability on our team from the get go, and you want to know how I proved that? The man I beat in my debut match, Rage Maxx, was the one who eliminated him from the Torneo Cibenetico. Ironic how I'm supposed to face him when he couldn't even handle the guy I easily defeated in my own debut match. Funny? Yes. Sad? Of course. I'm not underestimate him but his record speaks for itself. They're wondering which one of us will get to have our first title shot in WCF but I think we both know the answer to that question. I've seen what you bring to the table, and that meal isn't impressive. In your first match, you've managed to win only because your team mates carried you. However, you couldn't handle yourself when it's time for you to be on your own. What happened to the Lucious Starr that came in WCF with everyone buzzing on your ass? What--
He paused for a moment, and remembered exactly what he said.
Oh my god. Fate does it again. You remember when the news broke out about the so called 'Legend' debut of Lucious Starr? I remember perfectly. I remember saying that if we ever had a match together, I'd Thrust Kick you so hard that your mother would be impregnated back with you in her again. Oh, this is too good to pass up. I want to thank the WCF booking team for giving me him, and now I can do what I PROMISED to do. Lucious, you are not ready for this. You're not ready to stand across a competitor who is smarter than you, faster than you, stronger than you, technical than you, better than you in every aspect of the game. I'm coming to make an example out of you because it's 2016. A whole new years, and a new, and improved Andre Holmes. I learn from my mistakes, and I'm happy I can see what I can do from the loss I had at One. I was too confident, and too stubborn to think this match was already in my way. I focused on myself then focusing on the entire match alone. Now I know better. I'm not taking you lightly, and I'm damn sure not going to let my guard down for one moment. I'm coming to knock you out because you are not worthy of even being considered a contender for this opportunity.
Andre got off the window pane, and walked into the camera where his face was more visible. He was breathing heavily, and staring deep into the camera with eyes that could pierce the soul of God.
We have things in common. We both have World Championships, and hell, you have more accomplishments with your multiple PWA Championship reigns or in True Glory Wrestling but this is WCF! Everything in the past is exactly the past. This is the present, and FUTURE. I am that. The present, and the FUTURE because the present is going to be Andre Holmes defeating Lucious Starr, and becoming the number one contender for the WCF Television Title. What is the future? It's simple. I don't have to tell you anything, you already know. ALL of you know what is going to happen, and I will do everything in my power to see it out. So Lucious, bring everything. The look on your face when you realize that you brought 110% to the game, and still it was game over will be priceless. You're not going to make it out of the ring the same person you came once from. In there, you're going to be broken, and shattered. A shadow of the man you once were. I'm hungrier, and more sadistic now.
It's like someone said to me. Sometimes to succeed, you have to fail. I understand that now, and on Slam, you will too.

Fin.
