A Tale of 2 Dreams
It seems all too frequent that Gemini Battle/Grayson Pierce/Livewire lay in a hospital bed after a tremendous battle. Yet here he is again, body broken, and beaten, but not defeated. He stands, well, lays, as a man in yet another number one contender for the World Title, and in his minds… the next WCF World Champion.
All he has to do is wake up from this infernal sleep. Not a coma, but he was finding it hard to keep his eyes open for more than a few minutes. His body told him that he wanted to sleep but his mind wanted to fight. His mind was getting ready to step into the ring with the man who did this to him again and prove that he is not just a piece of meat to be tossed around. He is not only a man, but a champion, and he will be treated as such.
666 Dream Street
Current Residence of Gemini Battle
In this world Gemini is in his corporeal form of a scaled being who hovers over the ground, like the ground is lava, he can’t touch it.
Gemini
It feels good to be alive.
He floats over his dream state body.
Gemini
So weak. If only he would accept me as his driver, he as my vessel, then he wouldn’t be in situations like this. But he’s human. Perhaps he’ll never learn. Perhaps it’s up to me to force this truth upon him.
Perhaps it will take one last interaction with Dune for him to realize that he does not have the strength to deal with a man with the size and power as he.
Perhaps their next altercation will be the poor soul’s last altercation with anyone. There’s only so much the human body can take. This week may be my last opportunity to take over and drive the man towards his current destiny.
Gemini hovered over his seemingly lifeless body then went out the door.
Gemini
I’ve got to set my final plan into action. Without this final step being put into effect I may never get this opportunity again.
He went through the walls and outside. He felt the warm air wash over his face before he hit light speed mode getting to the desolate home of Vanessa Williams, or Invidia as he so desired to call her. He barged through the door as quietly as can be as he often did and watched her too sleep in her cot. The green and metal cot looked uncomfortable as did she as she squirmed in the enclosed area. Tears in the cot looked to be done by a creature rather than normal wear and tear.
He went to wake her then realized that he had yet to show himself to her while in this form while she was fully human. She may not be able to handle the sight with her own eyes so he decided to allow her slumber to continue. Instead he whispered softly into her ear.
Gemini
Sweet envy show yourself when the time is right. Expose the true nature of the one we have been targeting. Prove yourself in the eyes of the sacred ones and fulfill the destiny we are set upon. We shall be victorious, and you shall lead the army to great and horrible things. Just continue to build your strength and you will know when to expose the envy within.
He kissed her on the forehead without touching her. He slowly rose up until he went through the ceiling and above the sleeping angel. Tears fell from his eyes as it began to rain and he went above the clouds. His light speed could be triggered only once in this short amount of time, but he still went absurdly fast through the atmosphere. As the cool breeze passed through his scaly eyes he thought about what he would do.
He needed to defeat Dune this week. Then and only then will Grayson be able to accept his destiny as the vessel. If he does not than all may be lost. If Dune wins, he may very will KILL Grayson, and in turn Gemini. Dune was indeed a force to be reckoned with, but as all men do he has his own insecurities, and his own demons to conquer.
Gemini
This match next week will not be man versus man, it will be demon versus demon. You were made by a jackal, but I by a Hyena. It will be Dune’s inner demons of being a cold blooded murderer and his incapability to cope with his own insecurities in the manner. When violence is the only solution for a man you know that his demon has taken over.
Perhaps I’m looking at this all wrong. Perhaps I’ve been spending my time searching for this demon ‘Wrath’ in the wrong place, when it has been standing in front of me the whole time. Perhaps that’s why Omega is no longer in the picture. Perhaps Wrath has removed himself from the Omega Man and I can now be targeting the new token of my affection?
Dune, this week isn’t man vs man. You and Grayson Pierce are nothing, merely pieces of a puzzle that the Jackal and I are putting together. You claimed that you are to Grayson Pierce what the Jackal is to you. You claimed that just as you cannot defeat the Jackal Grayson Pierce would never be able to defeat you.
Dune, You are not facing Grayson Pierce, you are facing Gemini Battle. You are not facing the same man you stepped into the ring with many months ago, or a few months ago or even last week. There is an aura of hate and violence that surrounds me now, and not only that, my purpose is clear. Winning the World Title means so much more to me than you could possibly imagine.
It is not only a source of wealth and prestige, but it brings me closer to avenging the deaths of thousands in my homeland, and it brings me one step closer towards redemption. I’m not a bad guy, like you Dune. My kind was slaughtered, and the revenge I seek isn’t going to drive me mad. I don’t hide behind a mask that makes the sorrow in my face unnoticeable.
You see Dune, you are but a man. You’ve murdered before, and you’ve murdered again and certainly you will do so in the future. But you are just a man. You have a soul holding you back. Your soul is like a cancer eating away at your insides, and eventually the horrors that you’ve caused will come back to haunt, and haunt you they will.
You’re fucked, Dune. Your life is over. You’ve crossed the point of no return. That moral boundary that everyone speaks of has been not only crossed but destroyed. There’s no coming back from this, Dune. You will simply remember the pain, feel the pain, and eventually the pain will destroy you from the inside. But I assure you that you will be wishing for that pain when I’m done with you.
I’m small, I’m feisty, and when I defeat you in the middle of the ring this week at Slam and earn my rightful spot as the number one contender for the World Title you will be left as you were last Slam, with no life left in you, and laying still in the ring. You will be full of pain and embarrassment, because a man nearly half your size has defeated you cleanly.
That embarrassment will drive you towards your next chapter in this story the Sandman has created, but this chapter will end with the sentence…
Then Gemini Battle pinned Dune.
He returned to the hospital bed where Grayson Pierce lay lifeless, not in a coma, but in a deep dream state. He theoretically could wake up at any time but doctors and even his wife were having a hard time doing so.
Gemini
I know what will wake him.
He points downward like a pencil and tries to drive himself back into the heart of Grayson Pierce like a stake through the heart of a Vampire. He drops down full speed and enters the body of Grayson Pierce.
And then gets tossed out immediately.
Gemini
What the fuck?
He knocks on Grayson’s chest.
Hard as steel.
Not because of his muscular physique, that never stopped Gemini from entering or exiting before. But almost like some external force is denying him access to his soul. He flies upwards again. He looks down and sees a wide open mouth of Grayson Pierce seeming to invite him in. He points downward again and goes to enter the orifice. He speeds downward and before he makes contact he feels a jolt, like a punch to the bottom of his… lets call it a jaw... knocking him backwards and hard to the ground. He’s unable to fly, his tail sprouts feet and he feels weak. Being out in this world too long may be the death of him.
He looks up and as his vision goes from blurry to normal he recognizes the figure standing before him.
Stony Brook Hospital

Grayson Pierce tosses and turns in his hospital bed. Kat Ruiz gets up from her seat and grabs her husband’s hand.
Kat
Honey… It’s me… are you okay?
He coughs and then passes back out. His heart beat is steady, his EKG reading is normal. For all intents and purposes he is doing just fine. They just can’t seem to wake this mother fucker up for some reason.
69 Dream Street
Current Residence of Livewire
Livewire
GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!
He tosses a figure from his sight out the window and slams it shut. The beast knocks on the other side of the window, seemingly trying to get in. He sees the knuckles, if you could even call them that, cracking away at the glass in front of him. He knows that the being will get in whether he wants to or not.
So why not let the little shit in. He opened the door and looked out. He saw the best fly high in the air and come soaring down.
Livewire
Time for some Street Fighter T.E. shit to go down.
As the beast came flying down at seemingly the speed of light Livewire clenches his fist and rises into the air with a fucking uppercut that may have killed any mortal man.
Livewire
SHORYUKEN!
He comes through the door and lands in the hospital room with a shit eating grin on his face. He looks down at the beat who beyond his bullish features has a look of shock on what you can call its face.
Livewire
I’ve always wanted to say that.
He looks around the room and sees himself laying on the bed.
Livewire
Poor Dude… you were gonna rape the shit out of him, weren’t you?
Gemini
I wouldn’t dare!
Gemini gets to his feet, unsteady at first but quickly gains his balance.
Livewire
You’re not invited in, you know.
Gemini
I’m not a vampire; I can come and go as I please.
Livewire
I know what you are. You’re a piece of shit that preys on the souls of the helpless. Well, boy, this guy ain’t helpless any more. He’s got me!
Gemini
So what are you, the superhero.
Livewire
Something like that.
Gemini
So you think that you’re capable of giving Grayson all that he desires.
Livewire
A hell of a lot more than you.
Gemini
Tell me how.
Livewire
Oh, and spill the beans so you can take the glory, I don’t think so.
Gemini
Two things, first of all you think I give a shit about what you have to say, and secondly you think I don’t already know what you’re going to say. We’re the same person, you know. Part of the same soul.
Livewire
You’re not part of us anymore, Gemini. You’re a lost being wandering for eternity looking for anyone to take you in, you will not be using Pierce as a vessel any longer.
Gemini
You don’t know what you’re doing. You can’t defeat me, just like you can’t defeat Dune.
Livewire
You think I can’t beat Dune, that overgrown, baby killing piece of shit. You think that the high flying, electrifying, death defying, logic defiling, master of the skies can’t take down a man who is too afraid to even show his own face, and when he does he rages out and forces himself upon unsuspecting victim just so he can get his rocks off.
He can’t do that to me, and more importantly he WON’T. I’m not a push over. I’m not going to lay there this time and let him have his way with me. He annihilated me last week, and the biggest difference between you and I, Gemini, is that I know that. I know that and I’ve learned from it.
I’m not going to let him take the fight to me like he did this time, fuck I couldn’t even knock him off his feet aside from a few rollups. He has power like never before. He is stronger than he was last time we fought, and then I saw the glimpse of him turning to the dark side as he had done.
In fact I’ve seen it from the beginning, when we first stepped into the ring those months ago while he was on his Trilogy Cup Tear on his way to the world title I saw his darkness. I knew it was in him. I knew that a man who only sought revenge wouldn’t be able to keep up his façade of being a ‘good guy’ for too long and then when we faced a few weeks before War I saw behind the man in the mask. I saw to the core of the man. He had already turned by then, and although he didn’t cross that moral boundary until a few weeks later, he had already crossed in in his heart.
Last week when we stepped into the ring with one another, it wasn’t the same man that entered the WCF nearly a year ago, and feuded with Alex Richards for the Internet Title. It wasn’t the same man who conquered that same man as well as Jay Omega. No, the man who stepped into the ring with Joey Flash at War, and stepped into the ring with Oblivion just a few weeks ago and with myself just last week was a monster. He was an all-consuming monster unable to tell the difference between fact and fiction.
He’s a monster, but he’s not unstoppable. We’ve stepped into the ring enough times for me to understand what it takes to defeat Dune. But he has no ideas what I’m capable of. That’s where I have the advantage.
Funny, I know, to say that I have the advantage when I was the one bent like a pretzel at the end of the last match, but I didn’t quit, nor would I I didn’t pass out from pain, I was ready to strike, as I was that entire match. Dune got the better of me for the majority of that match, but he did not best me. No.
Wade Moor tried to make a fool out of us. He fears us both taking his title and tried to get out of it. For some reason Seth decided that he was going to make sure that either Dune or I are in that main event at the biggest show of the year. He knows how the money is going to be made. The fans want to see me win the belt. The fans want to see Wade Moor pay for his actions as of late, and love him or hate him, Dune holds no discrimination over who he would kill next.
He will try to kill me, but he will fail.
Gemini
But I won’t!
Gemini leaps forward, arms sprouting from his sides. He has taken on a human like form, looking like a lizard demon of some type. Livewire fought him off and pushed him into the wall. Kat Ruiz sat in the room and read her book, ignoring the intense action going on around her.
Gemini came at Livewire again who spun around and kicked him in what you would call a stomach. Then in the head… clearly a head. And then quickly Livewire jumped through the open mouth of Grayson Pierce, back to his home…
Stony Brook Hospital

Grayson Pierce tosses and turns in his hospital bed. Kat Ruiz gets up from her seat and grabs her husband’s hand.
Kat
Honey, it’s me… wake up.
He coughs and then passes back out. His heart beat is steady, his EKG reading is normal. For all intents and purposes he is doing just fine. They just can’t seem to wake this mother fucker up for some reason.
Livewire comes flying out of the mouth of Grayson and lands hard on the floor.
Livewire
What the fuck?
Gemini
AHA! He no longer wants you. He has made his choice. He knows where his true power lies. Finally, my destiny will be fulfilled, my kind will be saved!
Gemini leapt up and into the mouth of Grayson Pierce.
Pierce coughed and sat straight up.
Gemini came flying out of the mouth of Pierce and both Livewire and Gemini lay on the ground with stunned looks on their respective faces. Pierce’s eyes open and fill with fire.
Grayson
Get out and STAY OUT!
Kat
What… why?
Grayson
No… not you… THEM!
He points at an empty space in the room. His breath heavy and chest moving up and down like a jackhammer.
Kat
There’s no one… who’s there? Do you see someone there?
She knows his fragile state of mind. But is reassured by the toothy smile protruding from his lips.
Grayson
Not anymore, babe… not any more.
Realization fills Kat’s eyes. She’s heard it all before, but never with such soul, and conviction. Can it be? Can Grayson truly be himself again? Is Gemini gone forever?
Kat
Really?
Grayson
I wanna go home.
Kat
I’ll see what I can do.
Grayson was finally alone in the room.
Alone.
286 Eastwood Blvd
Actual Residence of Grayson Pierce
The walls were filled of Teddy Pierce, a boy at the age of 6 months, just learning to crawl, a complete bundle of joy. You could swear that he was the only person living in the house. He might as well be, the joy that he brought the adult human beings in the house was all the wealth that they could possibly need.
In the gray living room on top of the argyle patterned rug sit Teddy, barely sitting up playing with blocks. His father, Grayson, enjoys some QT with his boy teaching him how to build a tower.
Grayson
You see, you need a strong base. A Wide base on the bottom and then you can build it up to a small peak.
Teddy knocks it over, and laughs hysterically.
Grayson
And then you do that. Good boy.
Kat
Dinner is going to be in like an hour. Do you want to do that thing now?
Grayson
Ugh, yea, I guess.
He was set to go on WCF’s Periscope app sometime today. He kept it vague but he told Kat to send out a tweet giving the 5 minute warning. He kissed his bald boy on the head and he began to cry.
Grayson
Daddy will be back, buddy. I just gotta go do some work stuff.
Teddy whined a bit more until Gray pulled out a shiny book that immediately grabbed the attention of the young boy. Grayson couldn’t help but smile as he watched him open and close the book, feel the tactile toys inside, and smile at this inanimate object, giving him as much joy as he gave Gray.
Kat
Time for a nap, buddy.
There’s nothing more peaceful than a sleeping baby, and this boy needed it. His daddy had him working up a storm. He walked with Kat as he brought him over to his new crib as he was too big for the bassinet. They both kissed him on the head and he didn’t even argue, different than usual as he tends to fight it before passing out. Not this time. He smiled at his wife and a tear welled up in his eye as he had realized that he has had everything he could possibly want here in his own home. It was enough, now it was just time to give them everything that they deserved since he already had much more than he ever did.
He walked into his studio. He braced himself for this. For some reason he didn’t want to do it. He loved being in front of a crowd of people, but this time he didn’t know what to say. For the past year he has been possessed, for lack of a better word, by Gemini Battle. Now, all of a sudden, he was himself again. He was the man who claimed to be Awe Inspiring over a year ago when he joined the WCF, and started making a name for himself.
First thing’s first. Should he announce his new name?
No… save it for One. Make a big announcement.
He won’t even mention his own name.
A red light turned on his iPhone and he got ready. He prepared nothing; he was going to speak from the heart.

WCF Periscope APP
Grayson
Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to another edition of WCF’s Periscope App with me, The Livewire, Gemini Battle. Yea, I’m mixing the two names because recently I’ve had an epiphany, a moment of clarity if you will. You see…
He breathed deeply and wiped sweat from his brow.
Grayson
Nothing we do matters at all. There is no end game to this thing we call life. We live, we do the best we can, and we die. We don’t change anything for the better or for the worse. In the end the only people affected by our actions are only the people closest to us.
If nothing we do matters, then the only thing that matters is what we do.
If there is no greater end game to win or lose or whatever, then even the simplest of acts can make a profound difference on someone. It’s almost as though everything we were taught to believe to be true is only true because we were taught to believe it, but how can we be sure.
The only thing we can be sure of is how we feel. How we feel is the only thing that we have within us that is innate, it’s instinctual. It can’t be changed, but it can change. The smallest kind act could mean the world to someone.
Last week at Slam I was in a number one contender match against Dune. It didn’t end exactly as either of us had planned. It only ended as Wade had planned. So Seth, in an odd moment of sobriety, or perhaps a common moment of drunken stupor, decided to pit us in a No Disqualification Match this coming week, and had Wade Moor and Beachkrew banned from ringside. He evened the odds by making this match a hardcore match.
A simple act of kindness that put my wrestling career back in perspective.
I may not be A Hardcore Maniac, or a horrorcore champion. But I know how to go Hardcore when I need to. Just ask Steve Orbit, just ask Hyena. Stepping into the ring with a man the size and skill of you puts me at a disadvantage, but I’ve been at a disadvantage my entire career. I was at a disadvantage when I was in the Trio’s Tournament, but we overcame those odds. I was at a disadvantage when I faced ZMAC in a sword on a pole match and who came out eviscerated after that exchange?
I’ve fought my way through drug addiction, and mental illness all for this moment. I wouldn’t dare say I was destined for this because destiny only exists for those who refuse to accept responsibility for their actions. Good or bad the choices that I made and the actions that I have done have brought me to this point.
One final match will determine whether or not I get the pay day my family deserves or just another mid card cluster fuck. It will be my actions in this match, and the choices that I make during this match that determine whether or not I prove worthy for that title that Wade Moor has obliterated or if…
A scream is heard from another room in the house. Grayson turns and then crying comes from the same area. He gets up and leaves the room. The camera focusses on the barren door that Grayson sat in front of just a moment earlier. The voices of Grayson Pierce and Kat Ruiz can be heard vaguely in the distance.
Turn up the volume on your apps, and you can hear the static version of it.
Grayson
What happened, everything alright?
Kat
*sobbing*
Grayson
Kat, it’s ok. What’s wrong?
Kat
*uncontrollable sobbing*
Grayson
KAT! Talk to me, how can I help?
Kat
It’s NOT OKAY!
Shuffling and footsteps are heard and the slamming of a door.
Grayson
TEDDY! WAKE UP! TEDDY! OH GOD!
More shuffling and more footsteps are heard before you hear…
Grayson
Get an ambulance over here immediately… my son isn’t breathing…

Current Residence of Grayson Pierce
