Preecha Kamon and Armand De La Fontaine stood side by side in the middle of the dance floor, looking towards the entrance doors of “The Masters and Margaritas” waiting for the inevitable invasion they would be faced with. After Preecha got back from his trip, he showed Armand the surveillance he had of Henson's activities which not only included the meeting with the mysterious stranger but also many other meet ups with plenty of familiar faces of Russian gang members, general hoodlums and even a particular police officer Davidson, whom Preecha had his driver track (only to discover no further information).
This was starting to look like a set up of some kind. Armand theorized that maybe he was planning for it to look like “The Master and Margaritas” was attacked for involvement in criminal activities as a distraction from Henson's own rise, but Preecha dismissed it. Henson wouldn't have to go through so much trouble to connect them with criminals. He didn't claim to know what the sociopath was planning, he just knew that the two were in for a rough night if not a short one. He did not get his hopes up of coming out of this alive. Armand once asked Preecha if he was afraid of death but the fighter just shrugged. To him there wasn't much about it to be afraid of. It was just blackness, no monsters or disasters, no risk of losing anything. The only thing he feared about death was dying peacefully and surrounded by loved ones if there were any. It would mean he didn't do something right as he always planned to die in a fight of some kind. So, to say the least, this was somewhat of an optimal situation for him, considering...
They had sent all the other employees home in anticipation, no need to make this an incident of body count. Armand had been on edge this whole week, wondering how it would play out. He tried to conceive every possibility but there was only one that he saw if they meant to take them out and that was sleeping in dirt beds. Unlike Preecha, Armand was scared shitless of dying. He was one to always plan for the future with a particular optimism and leisure, so death was something he never got around to accepting. If anything, it is something he worked to distract himself from. Even the meeting they had with the rest of the team was a way for him not to think about coming events. If he could think about Sunday, he might convince himself he would make it there. He was able to keep a confident manner about him while talking to the other wrestlers but Preecha made it difficult while he was constantly scanning the room in suspicion.
So, there they stood, Armand in his finest suit and Preecha in a leather jack, black shirt and black jeans. It was a motto of “The Masters and Margaritas” that one most “always dress like a winner even if you know you are going to lose. Die in your Sunday Best." It was completely silent, Armand thought of putting on a sort of soundtrack for the invasion but knew that it would be lost on everyone but him. They had been standing in that exact spot for almost an hour but they would be damned if they were going to be caught off guard. Armand was about to suggest to Preecha that maybe they should pull up some chairs when he was interrupted by a knock which, of course, went unnoticed by Preecha. Armand was struck with confusion and tried to comprehend what he heard when came another knock.
Armand De La Fontaine
When has an invasion ever knocked?
But then he used his phone to check the surveillance camera on the other side of the door and saw it was Bonnie Blue who was now waving her arms towards the camera in hopes that someone was watching. Armand sighed as he turned to Preecha.
Armand De La Fontaine
Go let Miss Blue in. I am going to go get something to drink. I can't deal with an invasion on such frayed nerves.
The club-owner walked into the back to grab a bottle of rum he kept in his office for such times while Preecha opened the door and let Bonnie in.
Bonnie Blue
Hey, you read lips right?
Preecha nodded as they walked to the center of the room.
Bonnie Blue
Okay, good. I just stopped by because I noticed durin' the meeting, you seemed a little jumpy. I ain't one to stick my nose where it don't belong, but it is concernin'. We need you to be at your best when we go up against #BeachKrew. Was worried that you might be shaken up a bit after losin' to them twice. That on top of Oblivion's threats about Armand, I can't blame you for being a little on edge.
Preecha grimaced and looked to the door wondering if there was time to get Bonnie out before the possible invasion. He turned away from Bonnie, threw up his hands in a shrug and gave an apathetic grunt. Preecha walked up to the bar and turned around to lean up against it. He was used to dismissiveness being a great way to get people to go away, and the last thing he needed was for Bonnie to be caught up in the craziness that was about to come through that front door. But, Bonnie wasn't buying it.
Bonnie Blue
You can't fool me, Preecha. I can tell somethin' is botherin' ya. You're not very good at hidin' it. You might act like a fearless thug but even the bravest guys I've known get anxious and worried. Intimidation...
Armand De La Fontaine
Intimidation is a funny thing...
Armand appeared out of the shadows with bottle in hand.
Bonnie Blue
Sometimes I think you just like sneakin' up on people, comin' out of the shadows like that all the time.
Armand De La Fontaine
I like to think of it as a dynamic entrance. But intimidation is a funny thing. As I see it, from my own experience, there is two kinds of intimidation. There is the empty threat and then there is the forewarning, and I have discovered the real difference between the two. One will be repeated over and over, from the mountain tops, continuously ringing the bells, letting people know of all the specifics and making it heard by not just the subject of the threat by everyone in the surrounding area. Yeah yeah yeah, #BeachKrew is a bunch of sociopathic assholes, but they are a lot more talk than bite. They will spend a whole ton of time talking shit and trying to put down others and Oblivion is constantly making threats, but they are just wrestlers all the same. They do DDTs and piledrivers the same as everyone else. Like I said, they think they are gods but gods don't end up in hospital beds at the end of Thirteen, they don't get beaten, in what was technically a handicap match, and they don't cheat to get the win.
As for the second type of intimidation...Well, it is only said once and in a whisper. It is delivered by real gods and doesn't need twitter, just two fists. Draw the line and let the person know they are about to cross it and when they do, they've been warned and you take them out. And that is the one thing they have yet to do...take us out. They have had three or four chances to do so. They keep talking about making us their bitch, but we are still just as defiant as the day we came in. They beat us bloody? We'll beat them bloodier! They try to break us? we will shatter them! They want us to bow down? We will die on our feet. Sometimes the important thing isn't winning. Sometimes it is simply defying! Sure, we've beat us and sure #BeachKrew can fight, but we refuse to break just because they tell us to.
Their insecurity runs so deep that every time we say something, they have to respond. Every time we show we're still in, they tell us to quit. They'll say they're laughing at us, and that we have no chance. They'll say they're going to crush us into the ground, but no matter what, we always cross that line they draw and say “bring it”...It bothers them so much that they keep having to face us. If it didn't, wouldn't they just have discarded Preecha and thrown him to the bottom of the card? If we weren't a threat to them, would they keep trying to crush our spirits to prove their dominance? Its this act of defiance that keeps them so distracted and frustrated. They've been making threats since day one to fire us or make us janitors, but they don't because they're empty people who need to be filled. Preecha isn't shaken, he's just anxious to get the fight started...isn't that right Preecha?
Armand walked over and patted the fighter on the shoulder. Preecha did his best to force a smile on his face.
Bonnie Blue
You sure do love to talk a lot. I guess that it makes up for Preecha's situation, huh?
Armand contorted his face, feeling dejected. He was so revved up from his speech during the meeting that he was hoping that it would have the same effect. But que sera sera...He forced himself to be a little more stern and less general.
Armand De La Fontaine
Ah-hem...We have a lot of enemies. People simply don't like us. We're always facing threats and trash talk, and the one thing that keeps us going is the fact that we made it through all of it. #BeachKrew are just wrestlers. They aren't invincible. One well placed kick here or there, and it's over. On my radar, they're just a piss scuffle at most and when it is over, people will forget about them faster than Pluto Nash. Are they the first wrestlers to take control of the company? No. Are they the first wrestlers to brutally beat others down like it was a gang war? No. Are they the first monsters to listen to vaporwave and walk the Earth?...I'm going to assume not. They are assholes and, at best, hipsters who learned to pick up a few more pounds on a machine in a gym. We have a lot bigger enemies to worry about...
Bonnie Blue
Yeah? Like who?...
BOOM!
Armand De La Fontaine
Shit...I just got this place renovated, you fucks!
There was a hole blown into the wall across from the bar, and what appeared to be a bunch of Russian gang members filed in with their rag clothing and assault rifles. They surrounded the three as they shouted incoherent phrases at one another. Bonnie was wide eyed with shock and lost in confusion at the sudden surprise. Preecha and Armand looked at each other and walked up to the criminals, who parted all of a sudden to let through a familiar face. Henson walked in with his hands behind his back and a confident smirk on his face.
K. L. Henson
Sorry, didn't know you were having company. We'll be happy to entertain her as well...
Preecha grunted as Armand stepped in front of Henson, standing eye to eye with the psycho, letting him see that he was not shaken by the intrusion. Henson laughed.
K. L. Henson
Always one for the dramatics...
Armand De La Fontaine
You're the ones who blew a hole in my wall...
K. L. Henson
I like to think of it as a dynamic entrance...
Armand De La Fontaine
You alone or did your boss come too?
K. L. Henson
My boss?...oh no, Armand. You got it all wrong. We like to look at it as we're all equal...I don't mean these ruffians, they are just a random gang I'm in charge of. I mean the group I've been made aware of. I mean, yes, there IS a guy who has all the plans and gives out the orders but I don't work for anyone...I don't know, I guess it is hard to explain...
?.?.?.
That's enough Henson...
Henson sighed, shrugging before walking off to the side. Through the smoke came a silhouette.
?.?.?.
Armand...It is good to see you face to face. I was getting sick of watching you through footage. Not my style, to be honest. I prefer being more hands on.
Out of the smoke came a figure that had not been seen in years, but yet was familiar to anyone who cared to look back far enough...
Bonnie Blue
Is that...
Preecha Kamon
Speeectorrr...
Gein Spector
In the flesh. I am sorry we had to meet like this. I also apologize for Henson. It appears he has been causing you two some trouble. All I told him to do was go out and recruit the both of you, but it looks as if he had taken it upon himself to cause you a bit of grief. Though, with that said, I do not apologize for the destruction or the further destruction I will be causing you if you turn me down. You see, I have an important plan in the works. For the last few years, I have been building a society, I guess you could call it, of like minded people. Our goal is one simple thing...
My father being a judge, I grew up surrounded in the court system. I've heard a lot of terrible things that humans are more than willing to do to each other for no reason. I've seen mothers cry over dead children, I've seen angry mobs form, and I've seen bricks thrown through the windows of my father's house. But most of all, I have seen the face of evil men...You know what the face of evil men look like? It's void of regret. Most of them don't feel guilt, and that taught me something as a kid. We should not feel guilty about punishing them. And so I have done something interesting. I have found people like me who want to see the end of such horror, and I convinced them of a plan. You see, K. L. Henson is one of these evil men. He has no care for people and is more engulfed in his own obsessions. I have given him the option of community service.
He was fine with self imposed solitary confinement but I thought that was a waste of such an active mind. He is willing to do things that normal people should not be forced to do, and he won't think twice about it. Which makes him perfect when the War comes. We have decided to defeat evil, we need evil.
That is why I wish to recruit you two. You are not heartless men, but you do spread scum and crime. With your roots in the dark cracks of this world, I can reach deeper and change this world from the inside out. You don't get it, I understand that much. But if you come with us, then I can explain it to you and I promise you will see what I see. But...if you decide not to, we can ruin you.
Spector walked up and looked down at Armand.
Armand De La Fontaine
Simple enough. You know what? I get it. I get what you are going after...but I think you're fucking nuts. Crime ain't a phase. It is life, something you can't uproot. I assure you that it is best if you leave me to my business. I have rules and I follow them. I keep it clean but I also don't surrender my work over to someone who didn't do shit to take it from me.
Spector chuckled then looked at Preecha and Bonnie. He pushed Armand out of the way with little effort as he approached the other two. Preecha stepped forward and bumped chests with the returning figure.
Gein Spector
Bonnie, good luck this weekend. That is all I have to say to you. You are too good to be involved in this. As for you Preecha...I think we have a lot in common. We hate scum. We want to remove the world of it because we want to protect our loved ones...but for some reason it keeps surrounding us. You have found yourself on the wrong end of this fight. You deserve better. You deserve to stand at the top but you keep getting stumped by the disgusting grime of this world. You are not a criminal. Just unfortunate.
Preecha spat at Spector's feet. He then signaled him to lean in. Gein raised an eye brow as he did so. Preecha then proceeded to whisper what Hophni told him earlier that week.
Preecha Kamon
Para-Pirutseo-Bal...
Gein Spector instantly grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the bar, but oddly with a smile.
Gein Spector
So you met him...That's funny. When I left for Japan for what seems like forever ago, he was waiting for me at the airport. There he told me that I had something important to do. Didn't even tell me what it was, just that I was going to start a war. It didn't hit me until later, when I had already started that this was what he was talking about. Only saw him once afterwards and he told me that he was going to stop me and that I should listen out for one name...
Spector let go and backed away a few steps.
Gein Spector
So...you're off limits...fine...
He turned away and started walking down the divide of the criminals.
Gein Spector
Tear it apart...
Suddenly the criminals started moving around and firing off their rifles, putting holes in the walls, busting lights, shattering the glass floor in the center and tearing up the titantron at the front. They continued with flipping tables, smashing in doors and tearing down decorative signs and lights. The whole sound system was torn out as they slowly emptied out of the club. Last to leave was K. L. Henson who had a brown package in his hand which he tossed into the middle of the room.
K. L. Henson
Present from us to you. Only open it when you choose to get over yourselves and join us.
With that, he left out that very hole he blew into the building. Preecha walked over, picked up the package and shook it. Bonnie's hands were shaking as Armand yelled in anger at the destruction of his club. Bonnie shook herself out of shock.
Bonnie Blue
What the hell was that?!
Armand De La Fontaine
Fucked up is what it was!
Bonnie Blue
What were they talking about.
Armand sighed and walked over to Bonnie, slowly brushing over the destruction.
Armand De La Fontaine
Ms. Blue. I don't know how you see us, but I assure you we are not good people. We have been on the better side of public opinion recently only by luck. Gonna be honest. We are criminals. This club is the place of a lot of seedy activity and people have died because of us...Gein knows this and apparently he wants to use it. But that is not important right now.
Bonnie looked shocked and enraged by the last comment Armand made.
Bonnie Blue
Not important. How you figure that?! We all nearly got killed! They had guns and could have torn us apart!
Armand De La Fontaine
Sigh, I am sure you are no stranger to such violence, but we took up residence in the middle of it and so I am sure more guns will be pointed at me as I live on. Nothing new. But! The important thing.
Suddenly Armand changed to an optimistic and even Preecha approached the two with a smirk of his own.
Armand De La Fontaine
We have a match to focus on! Not gonna let something let this change a damn thing there. It doesn't matter the level in which you do it. You fuck with us and we are going to make sure to return the favor down the line! Gein and Wade are both gonna learn that soon enough.
