-12-1-15 Page 5 Alabama Times Yesterday a man running for state office was visiting his old place of business for entertainment purposes. Similar to Abraham Lincoln visiting the theater and getting shot in the head a similar outcome occurred for our local potential incumbent. Thomas Bates, formerly of the WCF and currently in a heated race for State Senate of Alabama was at a WCF “Slam” show when he was brutally attacked by WCF World Champion Wade Moor. The hospital reports show that he suffered a severe concussion as well as a few bruised ribs from the fall. Fortunately for the man, he should be up and walking in a day or two and continuing his campaign. However, any plans for returning to the ring may be put on hiatus for a while. When asked for a quote, friend, and former member of the Dark Riders Gang in the WCF Gemini Battle said… “Wade Moor isn’t worthy of my time, but he did one of the only things that could get my attention. If he wants me to take that World Title off of him, fine. It’s his funeral… oh yea… and Vote Bates!” Thomas Bates was in no condition to respond and Wade Moor refused to comment. The man who has been standing on the side of equality for all including those with controversial beliefs was making headway in his election. Some experts say that this may slow his momentum; however some also think that this may be the jumpstart that he needs to take a full court press on the election and run away with it. His team has vowed legal actions taken on Wade Moor, and agreed to leave the WCF out of the lawsuit as much as possible. If one thing can be of certain it’s that experts generally have contradicting opinions, and that Thomas Bates isn’t going down without a fight, neither in the State Senate, nor in the WCF.
