America's WCF's Funniest Home Videos returns with more of the amazing and hilarious home videos that have been an American television institution on ABC for over 16 seasons. The videos, submitted by viewers, offer big laughs and compete to win big money. In addition to the weekly contests, special $100,000 grand prizes will be awarded during the season to video buffs whose wildly funny or unusual video clips are judged favorites by studio audiences.
Host Tom Bergeron Seth Lerch continues to introduce the comic clips that capture the unexpectedly funny things that happen when adults, children, animals and sometimes even inanimate objects are at their spontaneous best. From practical jokes to home improvement plans gone awry, from animal mishaps to just flat out strange behavior, "America's WCF's Funniest Home Videos" pulls out all the stops to present a hilarious look at everyday people superstars caught on tape in their most embarrassing moments.
Each week throughout the season, $15,000 in prize money will be awarded: $10,000 for the clip the studio audience chooses as its favorite, $3,000 for second place and $2,000 for the third-place winner. All $10,000 winners are eligible for the $100,000 grand-award competition, to air at a later date.
In its 17 seasons to date, America's WCF's Funniest Home Videos has given away over $9 million in prize money and evaluated more than half a million videotapes from home viewers. Viewers wishing to submit home videos to America's WCF's Funniest Home Videos should visit ABC's website at www.abc.com for details.
Vin Di Bona is executive producer, with Todd Thicke and Michele Nasraway serving as co-executive producers. America's WCF's Funniest Home Videos, which premiered on January 14, 1990, is from Vin Di Bona Productions.
