WCF.com recently caught up with two-time World Champion, "The Mack" Steve Orbit at an UNDISCLOSED live sports event. Our reporter was able to ask The Mack the following:
"Steve, you've been out of action since an unsuccessful Trios run back May. What have you been doing with your time away from the ring?"
Steve Orbit: First of all, we made the mother fuckin' finals in Trios. I wouldn't call that unsuccessful-- to be honest, Corey Black dropped the ball. He fucked up. My brother and myself, we was ready to go, but Corey was just a step behind us the entire mother fuckin' tournament. Anyway... I just been enjoying life, man, you know what I'm sayin'? Spent a lot of time out of the country, been down to the Caribbean-- I was in Brazil for a month, then over in Europe, you know what I'm sayin', the Netherlands, Japan-- I been all over the fuckin' place. Eating different foods, learning different cultures and all that shit. My main goal is to meet with pimps and players in every God damn country on the PLANET and truly establish, you know what I'm sayin', a real import-export thing with these girls. Kind of like a talent trade system. Put these hoes on tour, for real. That's what I been doin', pimpin' a hole through the stratosphere twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
"You accomplished so much in your time with WCF. Are you satisfied with your accomplishments? Or do you feel that you have more to accomplish as a professional wrestler?"
Steve Orbit: Honestly I ain't even got time to really think about all that. Yeah, I'm happy with my career. I'm a legend, a mother fuckin' household name. When people talk about the greatest wrestlers in WCF history, my name is in the conversation. What more do I need to accomplish? What else is there? I made my mark on the business, that's all any wrestler wants to do. That's greater than any title or big match victory.
"Jay Omega recently won War and claimed the World Title, after Dune and Joey Flash fought nearly to the death over the belt, to the point where Flash had to forfeit the title after winning, due to the fact that they both had to be shelved due to injuries sustained during that match. Two part question-- will Jay Omega be a great champion, and would you have signed up for War if you had known the World Title would be on the line?"
Steve Orbit: No, and no.
"Elaborate please?"
Steve Orbit: Look man, I'm tryin' to get back to my seat--
"Last question and I'll let you be."
Steve Orbit: Look, Jay Omega-- this guy was treadin' water for the last couple years, especially back when it was guys like me, Fly, Cairo-- the big boys. Omega couldn't hang, everybody knows that. Everybody saw it with they own mother fuckin' eyes. Don't get me wrong, he's a good hand to have on the roster, a solid mid-card guy-- World Champion though? Come on, homie. He hit the fuckin' lottery at War, that's all there is to it. Dune and Flash are gone-- the rest of the roster is a bunch of green mother fuckers or people who stay in the lower card. There ain't nobody else in the World title picture, there wasn't nobody else worth a damn in War-- biggest War ever? Funny, the biggest amount of people with the least amount of talent in WCF history.
"I'm sure there are some who would take exception to that. Second part of the question? Would you have returned?"
Steve Orbit: Eh, I always did well in War. I came close-- top 3, top 4, every year. In the match for an hour and a half or two hours, every year. I don't need to win War to establish myself, and I sure as hell don't need the World title to prove nothin' to nobody. Let's get one thing straight-- me and Seth, we cool. We got a nice working relationship, we straight. I come back tomorrow, I get a World title shot tomorrow. It's whatever I want-- but right now, I don't see the point. Why I'm gonna come back and just whoop on all these young boys? There ain't no competition in WCF right now. I'm fine where I'm at. I don't need to go back just to dominate like that, just for my ego. I don't need that, I'm straight. But you best believe I could have it whenever I want it.
"The World Title?"
Steve Orbit: That's what I said. It's mine if I want it, whenever I want it. Now excuse me, my wings are gettin' cold and I gotta get back to my seat.
