Looking for suggestions and storylines

I am not sure if my promos are up to the mark with most guys over here or I am even going in the right direction so a little help would be nice. I was also wondering if anyone would like to work in a storyline with me. Let me know

I don't know who specifically would be up for one, but I recommend trying to contact other newcomers. I know when I joined, me and another guy (Kyle Kemp) ran a feud and it was bomb. We love seeing new guys go after it like this and striking up feuds. It's definitely a good way to improve. If you are looking to improve, my advice is to look for a takeaway with each opponent. There are guys here who will make you a million times better just by facing them. My first roleplay and my most recent one are what I consider to be a testament as to how much better the uber talented people here will make you. Welcome man.

First of all, welcome to WCF! I love new faces!

Like Spencer said, definitely hit up other newcomers and see if they'll be interested in working a storyline. The more you show people that you're willing to put in work and create a HOT story at the same time? The more people are going to want to work with you.

As for your promos not being up to snuff, that's entirely subjective.

In my personal opinion, I can see a few issues right off the bat in terms of your promos and twitter interactions so far.

- Arch-Angel is a FACE but he kind of talks and acts like a HEEL. The way he calls everyone "imbeciles" who "refuse to see the truth in front of them" is a very HEEL thing to do. A FACE would say it more like, "you are in the dark and can't see the truth, but I'm here to shine a light on it", etc. etc. something along those lines.

- What are Arch-Angel's goals/motivations? He wants to win the World Championship, but everyone WANTS to win the World Championship. He wants to show everyone the truth. Give more clarification on these things.

- Cut out the huge font size. If it's something you do style wise for your promo, then by all means keep it, but (To me at least) it just makes it look like you're trying to make your promos look bigger. Quality over quantity is something you're going to hear a lot here.

The best thing about the WCF is there are A LOT of people willing to help. People will give you credit where credit is due and they will also tell you if something isn't working.

To add to this, some might underestimate the value of developing your backstory through your roleplays, but it's a solid part in my opinion. You'll get more comfortable as you write and carve out what drives this guy to be who he is.

Hey thanks a lot! I really needed some advice regarding my promos. I know Quality is greater than Quantity but I see guys with huge promos... To be honest I lose interest halfway through but since everyone keeps writing huge promos I used bigger fonts in my last promo. Yeah I did a character development promo previously so it will take time till I can really establish my face character but thanks guys your feedback is really helpful. I will make sure I keep those points in my mind when I write my next promo.

Don't get discouraged and honestly, the promos can get big, but it becomes easy to do eventually if you choose to.

Yea... You showed up around War as well. Its hard to write a short promo when shooting against 50 people.


It'll get shorter and easier to manage as slams progress.

It's not about the length, it's always about the enjoyment for me. I can't sit and do 10k words in a promo, I tend to go 2-4. Partly because I'm busy and partly because my style would get a bit meh if I go too long. You just need to find your sweet spot and go from there. When I first started out I think mine were Ben shorter than this, but as long as the content is good, it doesn't matter in the long run.
