I'd like some feedback on my promos if you all have any time. Even if it's not until after War, I'd still like some opinions. Don't hold back in your feedback because this is a new character and it's a face. Anyone who knows my history in e-wrestling would know my entire career has been as a heel. I'd say about 85-90% of that time has been as Gravedigger who has always been a big heel. I had a short 6 month stint as a face with the John Barber character two years ago, but that's it.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around shooting as a face without being a heel. So I wouldn't be offended by criticism.

The one thing I have to say that I enjoyed doing in this promo series was dividing the opponents up and purposely putting them in the same section as one of Billy's flaws. Sometimes it was because I felt that opponent shared the flaw, sometimes I felt that Billy dealing with that flaw was a way to combat the opponent, and then other times I just threw someone in a section just to try and balance out the number of opponents in each section of the promos.

Shooting as a face is tough. REALLY TOUGH.

As a Heel, you can be a dick. You can call the good guys "bad guys" because the Heel should percieve the face as the one trying to "hold them down" so of course they're the "bad guys", right?

There were a few inconsistencies in the way you were shooting on fellow faces, especially guys like Pantheon/Vic Venable. Billy is a guy who is battling "first impressionist" judgement calls like people calling him fat and stupid, or what have you.

Billy is an incredibly sympathetic character. He comes off in his CD segments as a guy you want to get behind and root for, but when he turns around and calls Vic Venable a "joke" or a "shadow of his brother". If you wanted to be consistent with your character, Billy wouldn't be so quick to make those judgement calls that he resents himself. It comes off as a little hypocritical in context of the character.

I think he try and say these things in a more encouraging fashion. Something like:

"You want to step out of the long shadow your brother casts? You need to let it go and become Vic Venable, not the next FPV!"

Yadda yadda, so on and so forth.

I know what it's like trying to get your feet wet as a new character. Sometimes you're used to the way you did things as GD or Barber and these kind of things happen.

Overall, I enjoyed your War promos. Billy is a fun character and that sig you have of "me and the boys" is gold.

Thanks, Wade! I appreciate the feedback and I completely agree with your points. I actually held back in many cases where you pointed out I was heelish so it would have been worse lol. I will remember your advice and do some more studying of other successful faces as well to understand how to shoot better as a face.
