After almost a month after the accident that sent George "Gonzo" Murdock into the San Francisco Bay, the United States Coast Guard, who took point in the search and rescue attempt, has called off their search due to increasingly foul weather and no further signs of his body recovered since the day of the accident.
At the time, family and close associates had said that he was pursuing a movie opportunity, while spending more time with his family. He is survived by several brothers and sisters, as well as a six year-old daughter. He was 32 years old at the time of the accident.
